Batching user reassignments
We often have to reassign applications and grants to different users due to changing circumstances (a staffing change at the organization being the most common). We would like the new contact to be able to see all of the past grant history, but that frequently includes numerous grants, and is time-consuming to have to individually reassign each of them. It would be great if we could batch reassignments- for instance, if an executive director left an organization with whom we have a 20 year grant history, it would make life much easier to be able to check "reassign all" to link the new primary contact with the history.

I too have found that we're having a lot of turnover in the nonprofit world. I'd love to batch reassign the grants to the new person. I'm also having to create a dummy user for every organization in order to enter historical grants so the board can see the history. But I don't want it on the applicants dashboard. It really clutters up the dashboard and they have a really hard time seeing that teeny tiny edit word on the Follow up forms.

I missed your comment and never got back to this idea ... but I am glad you liked the "View organization history" option. Based on your comments, I'm assuming I can close this as doing "batch user reassignments" shouldn't be necessary going forward. Let me know.

Thanks for the response. We would love to be able to designate a "view all grant history" user for an organization. That has been a major struggle for us, and is the primary reason behind wanting to batch reassigning users. We want to give a little more thought as to whether we would still see a benefit in being able to batch reassignments, but I wanted to get back to you right away with an endorsement for the "view all grant history" user. I read through that thread, and I completely agree with what has been said by other users.

Thanks for the suggestion. We're interested in continuing to add batch functionality - however, this is the first time I've heard it requested for reassigning grants. It's currently under "Advanced Options" because we saw it as something that wouldn't be needed a lot. That said, while it's not a high priority for us given other work we have on our roadmap, it's definitely something we'll keep in mind.
