It would be very helpful to be able to pull the IRS Subsection into reporting, so confirm the 501c status of an organizations IRS approval.

I'm back again : ) wishing greatly that i could pull the Organization Name associated with the EIN Charity Check into Foundant Reports

It would be helpful to be able to pull the "IRS BMF" code which shows the 509a status and also the "reason for the non-profit foundations status" onto the application in GLM. Both fields are shown when you click on charity check report.

It would be very helpful if the information on the Charity Check Log could be used as a merge field or fields, also the information listed under the IRS Business Master File. As an example, I create a Grant Summary for each approved proposal for executive review, and it has been requested that GuideStar information be included on that summary.

Hi Chris,
I would like to have the Charity Check Legal Name from IRS Publication 78 (Charity check has multiple name fields) to be available in Merge Templates so that I could be certain to create contracts with the right legal name. It would also be very useful in the Report feature so that when we make Grants Lists for the IRS they are correct. It is already possible for us to check the date of the last charity check via the Reporting tool.
Thank you!

We also need to be able to pull in the Charity Check legal organization name into reports (to have the report list any fiscal sponsors).

This is great but is there any way the Charity Check legal organization name can be quickly added as an additional field??? About to merge 400+ grant agreements for the first time and panicking... Applicants often enter incorrect legal names when they create org records. Or enter the name of a program area or department. When merging into grant agreements there needs to be a way to verify and use the LEGAL organization name!!! HELP!?!?

I appreciate that there are already several Charity Check fields available for reporting purposes; it'd be super helpful if that list of fields also included the Organization Name from the Charity Check file. The EIN number from the Charity Check file isn't as useful, since the number that we have in our GLM Organization record is what is used to run the Charity Check anyway - the two will always match; but the Organization names will often differ. It'd be helpful, too, to have the AKA ("Also Known As") name(s) from the CC record.

I would LOVE to be able to export and to use in mail merge the Charity Check Organization Name. This is how I check the organization's legal name - via the Charity Check. Organizations get very creative about what they think their legal name is. And this is a very important due diligence for Foundations as we all have to submit our Grants Lists to the IRS when we file our taxes. So just as the Deductibility Code is something we have to get right, we also have to get the Organization's Legal Name exactly right.
Currently when I do contracts, I have to look up each organization and click in to the Charity Check 2nd or 3rd tab to see if I have the correct legal name.
Thanks!

I appreciate the steps that have been taken to making some charity check information available via export. It would be extremely helpful if we could export their public charity classification as well, and not just their deductibility code.

Where: in "Search Requests & Decisions," as a link at the bottom (like Quick Export)? Or in Export Data, as a column that could be selected? I would suggest in the GuideStar link on the left sidebar, but that doesn't seem to have a way to search by process, and brings up organizations that aren't in our system.
What: I know I would want the organization name (from our Foundant record, not Guidestar). I think in addition to that I would just want the date the check was generated and whether the verdict came back with the two logos. I am not sure how others use the extra data (dates of each IRS publication) - I just look for the checkmark.

In the Idea Lab item " https://community.foundant.com/foundant/topics/batch_charity_check ", there were some suggestions for making an export of Charity Check information.
Since these are 2 distinct features, I am creating this Idea Lab item for future comments about exporting Charity Check information.
The comments for exporting functionality are below:
would it be possible to retrieve the charity check info (last date the check was run, and result) in a report or export data? I would like to verify that I did the Charity Check on all the applications, without having to open each record again.retrieving the CC info in a report or in export data would also be usefulI do have a couple questions:
Where do people think this functionality should exist? What information exactly would be in this export / report? Thanks in advance for your feedback.
