Spelling/Grammar Check Tool in SLM Scholarship Applications
It would be helpful for SLM to include a spelling/grammar check tool within the scholarship applications for students to use when writing their essays or short answer responses. I know that some internet browsers have a spell check included, but it might be helpful from the student side to have a more comprehensive tool to help with spelling, grammar, etc. as they write their responses.

Automatically generated request ID
We have long project names for our applications and an automatically generated request ID (example 20240041) that includes the year, would be helpful to identify and search for a specific request, without needing to remember the project name or organization name.

Hide (redact) personal info from reviewers.
We would really like to have the option to hide some of the personal information of the SLM applicants for reviewers. (addr, phone, email).
Be able to still show name, but not personal contact info.29 votes -
Improve student applicant experience in SLM
The idea is that 3rd party recommenders should only be invited one-time to recommend eligible students.
With the roll out of the new student dashboard in SLM, ineligible students are seeing "Action Needed" on their dashboards if they have outstanding recommendations.
The problem is twofold 1) Ineligible students believe they qualify or have action items 2) recommenders are wasting their time
Right now, the system either seeks recommendation for ineligible students (if 3rd party questions are built into the UA) OR requires eligible students to seek multiple recommendations from the same people for each eligible scholarship (if 3rd party questions…

Mass update opportunity names
I need there to be a way to mass update opportunities in a universe. Going in one at a time to 150+ scholarship names to change it from 2023 to 2024 is maddening and not an effective use of time.

Group by student for administrators
Create a "group by student" button similar to the one for evaluators that allows administrators to group by student in the dashboard buckets.

Mark Applicant Opportunities by Question Group SLM
Right now, when you create a new question in the universal application, you have go to each question and change what opportunities this question applies to. This can be very time consuming as there are over 45 opportunities linked to the universal application. It would make sense to be able to mark the applicant opportunities by question group as the default then if you need to make individual changes to some question, it would be much less time consuming. I set up my question groups to directly correlate with the the applicant eligibility and selection criteria for each scholarship.

Wrapping text in Short Answer Questions
It would be great if text boxes wrapped in the application like the tables do now.

Thoughts on Renewable Scholarships
As a scholarship admin, I want a way to communicate with students about the renewal requirements for an opportunity within the system.
- can do with email types, but it requires lots of manual workAs a scholarship admin, I want to remove the human review of follow-up forms to verify renewal eligibility.
I want to set rules for if a follow-up should be marked complete and if they don't does it kick back to draft, email the students, etc.
Examples of eligibility criteria for renewal
- GPA
- School

Change font color for SLM
Once the student hits submit on the UA, is there a way to change the font color of those opportunities that have additional information pending. Currently everything is black or blue, would like to change the "EDIT APPLICATION" to RED to catch the students eye.

Print Universal Application questions by opportunities
It would be helpful to be able to print just the questions associated with one opportunity in the Universal Application. Currently you can preview, but when you print the questions list it prints the entire UA. Donors like to be able to see their application, and aren't interested in and get confused by seeing more than what they need.

Two types of application submission emails for Universal
Within the Universal application, we need two different automatic emails for submission verifications. One for the Universal submission, and one for the opportunity submissions within the Universal. One generic submission verification is confusing to applicants

Bulk Copy Applications
At BACF we have 11 different committees that review applications based on their funding alignment. Our current process is running a universal application. We then create individual processes for each of our committees, and manually copy applications into the processes for the committees that will review it. For example, we may get a funding request from the American Red Cross that has funding alignment across 3 different committees. I would then manually copy that request into each of the three processes for those committees to review.
Where this becomes cumbersome is that I have to go into each application individually…

Batch Assign Applications to Evaluators by Applicant Name Automatically
We have about 60 scholarships, 200 applicants (1,100 applications), and 32 reviewers every year. When I assign applications for review, I want every student to be assigned to 2 reviewers. And I want all reviewers to have roughly the same number of applicants/students (not applications since we use Universal App). So I sort the applications by applicant name, and then manually click all applications for students x, y, z, and then batch assign to 2 reviewers. I have to repeat this process for all 1,100 applications in the system. I would love for there to be an automated way to…

No warning for required fields missing on UA questions
On any question type, if you miss a required field and click into the Applicant Opportunities tab to select opp specifics and try to save, there is no warning showing you have missed filling in a required space, the page goes nowhere, nothing occurs.
Please add a warning of some sort that a required field is missing.5 votes -
Universal Application Column Filters
It would be very helpful to add an additional one or two column filters to the process, applicant, project name and eval 1 & 2 headings. I have Graduating High School and Applicant ID currently set. I would like to add Student Status and graduating year so I can see at a glance what I need for the applicant. I have to go into the application to get the info I need which can be time consuming.

UA Opportunity Printing
In the UA, it would be nice if we could print a pdf of individual opportunities for the donor(s) to review that only has the eligibility questions and supplemental questions of the individual opportunity listed.

Allowing a true count of students in a UA under the submitted bucket
When a student submits their General Application in the UA, you can only see a true number count by pulling a report. It would be helpful if those individual students would show up as submitted, since they have submitted a General Application. The drafted students shows correctly, but it shows 0 for submitted when that it not accurate. Right now they just get moved to the individual opportunity immediately instead of showing in the submitted bucket.
