  1. We like to have custom fields available in both tax receipt templates and tribute templates. They're available in grant and check templates now, but not in these 2. We have uses for them, sometimes as workarounds, and extending these templates to have those fields would be really helpful.

    8/2/2023: Tributes: In order to manage tributes more efficiently, a new workflow has been designed for Tributes.

    The Tribute list view is now a custom report with the ability to sort each column and  have the ability to apply filters, save filtered lists, export, email and load for future use. On the left hand menu, there is also a new Delete Unused menu item.  This will allow clients to delete any unused tributes that do not have donations attached to the tribute or if the tribute does not have associated notify information. If the notify address or email information is not completed, the tribute information will move to a non-notify tribute field.  This will allow clients to retain the information about the tribute on the donation in a text field.

  2. The Legal Name field is not an available field for tax receipt templates. I'm hoping it can be added to the Template Fields List for tax receipts.

    This field would be the ideal field for donor names in tax receipts. Our CSM has suggested using the mailing label, but we use that field for informal/preferred names (when we have them). Also, the profile name is not always in an appropriate format for letters (for example, the name for households is formatted as "LAST, First and First" for efficient searches and campaign lists).

  3. Please reinstate the ability to have a zero amount admin fee. We use them to monitor funds for which no fee is charged, such as internal funds and special projects. Having them in a specific fee type allows us to review them quarterly for changes in status. It also assures someone looking at the fund that assigning a fee code wasn't just forgotten. Thank you!

  4. There should be a warning when merging profiles with ACH information on file, similar to the Stripe warning. If you merge a profile with ACH information attached to it to a new profile, the bank information is lost. There needs to be at least a warning to ensure that you are aware of a profile with ACH information on file before completing a merge.

  7. subfund - closing account. Provide instruction in your training materials how to transfer any funds from a subfund to the parent fund, and close the subfund.

    • Profiles: Enhanced the profiles search option to include address, phone numbers, and EIN. Email and phone search has been moved to the main page, instead of left-side menu options. Inactive profiles will now have a red inactive at the end of their profile in the search areas. This will help easily identify if the profile is inactive before selecting the profile.

  9. It would be much better if a functional expense report could be based on an income statement view. For example, for our audited statement of functional expenses, we condense the rows to approximately 12-14 categories. Currently we can't use the financial view to also get a functional expense report that breaks out the expense sub-accounts, by financial view account, into the different functions. Instead, we have to manually group the accounts into the proper categories. This manual process is very tedious and time consuming. Using the pivot table as suggested does not accomplish this either.

  11. When entering a tribute and you are selecting who to notify, it would be helpful if you could search for the profile by entering the last name and first letter of the first name. It currently requires you to include Mr., Ms. or Mrs. when you are searching. It would be helpful if this was consistent with searching for names in other areas of CSuite.

    05/24/2023: Templates: Added today_nice_date merge field to the following templates: invoice, checks, grant award letter, grant letter, internal grant letter, scholarship, yearly tax receipt. Added the grant award letter to have the advisor mailing label use the first last name, if there isn’t a mailing label filled out. Added advisor household label the grant letter template and the apply to spendable to tax receipt.

  13. Create options besides "done" for retiring tasks.

    When a task is abandoned for legit reasons, it would be great to be able to mark it as such. Also, When a task was added by someone who is no longer a user and it does not make sense to reassign the task to someone else, it would be great to be able to delete it. Only having "done" as a method for retiring tasks from active status leaves a misleading record of what activity occured.

  14. There is a "quick add" for scholarships where you can enter the full scholarship amount and the years it's payable and the system will create multiple scholarship entries. This is great, except we pay our scholarships by semester.

    Is there a way you can adjust it to have the option to select how many months or "twice a year" instead of just the number of years?

  15. In the Distribution Types, allow for "Calculations Base" using a combination of Principal AND Default. That would allow us to weed out funds that a donor has added to their fund to be held as spendable (ie, a quasi endowment fund that also has some endowment).

    8/10/2023: Fund Advisor: Enhanced the Fund Advisor area to have a new left menu, List Carts. This new menu will display any fund advisor grant request that have been created, but not yet submitted to the foundation.  This table will display the created date, fund advisor, Fund/Org, Amount, Grantee, and the Description of the a grant request. On the Fund Advisor Portal, we have updated the menu above the  unsubmitted grant request to Unsubmitted Grant Request.  The button for the cart option has also been updated from Review to Review and Submit Grant Request, to help Fund Advisor process the cart.  On the Review screen, Fund Advisors will now see the grantee's primary address, as a quick way for them to confirm that they have selected the correct Grantee.  If the Grantee is creating from Guidestar from Fund Advisor, the address will not display in the review screen, since the…

    The following enhancement was released 10/5/2022: 


    Profiles: Added the ability to include dates on profile links. This will allow better relationship tracking and data hygiene. Profile links and org roles will sort by active and alphabetically with this enhancement. From profile filter reports, clients can now filter by organization roles and profile links, and in custom reports, the profile links report has been added.


    This will allow the tracking of volunteers by date.

  20. We want to be able to make GL accounts inactive without deleting the history attached to the accounts. Right now the only way to clean up the GL codes is to close/delete ONLY if there is no transactions.
