  1. When I run custom reports I sometimes would like to apply a filter that covers multiple items. For example, a Zip Code filter that shows multiple zip codes or a fund filter that includes several funds. Unfortunately, the Custom Reporting does not include the same multi-select feature as Filter reports.

    I don't know the backend setup that makes these different, but it is odd that I cannot do the same function in both report types. Unfortunately, filter reports have the multi-filter function but limit the fields I can filter on/include.

  2. I am in a strategic process here at the Foundation thinking through further ways to engage fundholders and we would like to pursue using the “Fund Open Date” data to acknowledge anniversaries.

    Currently, reporting will allow "Fund Open Date" field to be pulled by Month (regardless of year) but Relative date options are tied to year and will not produce a whole list.

    I’m able to pull the report and work in excel, but wanted to work with y’all if there might be a non-external way to do this entirely on the CSuite system.

    Desired improvement would be a functionality…

It would be beneficial to be able to create a report (similar to that of the audit report) that shows a funds beginning balance, the change in the fund balance for the time period (donations, grants, expenses, investment earnings, etc). ending balance. The key here would be for it to be just 1 report with 1 fund showing all of the years that the fund has existed or at least data is in CSuite. This is possible with the audit report but only for 1 year at a time. A year over year income statement gets the year over year…

  4. You recently added "First Gift Date" and "Last Gift Date" as fields you can see on a profile report. It would be nice if you also added a "# of Gifts" field.

  5. It would be nice to allow "AND" "OR" logic within one filter, esp. for textbox fields.
    Right now the logic can only exist between different filters, but within one filter/field, there is no flexible logic built in for multiple criteria, nor does it allow using the same filter more than one time (with different values).

    Examples:
    (1) filter "Prefix" is "Mr." OR "Mrs." OR "Ms." AND "not null".
    (2) filter "profile type" IS "x" AND IS NOT "y"

I know there was already an idea submission about marking custom reports as a "favorite" and it was marked as implemented when the categories were added, but as one poster noted, the categories don't solve this request. Categories are company-wide and favorites are specific to the user. I cannot use a category to mark my favorites. Please consider re-opening this issue.

  7. Can you add the Profile Fund Categories to the Fund Advisor Fund Custom Report? We establish tab settings based on the profile fund category.

    We have been unable to find any other report that combines the tabs with the profile fund categories, fund advisors and fund information.

  8. It is fantastic we can now just use "Save" in custom reports to save updates to an established report. It would be mind blowing if we could also have the option to EDIT the report to update the description, the shared toggle or even the name without using "Save As" and deleting the older report.

  9. We would like to be able to filter the donation report by cumulative donations in a specified time frame. We send certain mailings to donors who have cumulatively donated $501+ per year (even if they've made multiple $100 donations to equal $501+) and right now the Donation Amount filter only filters those who have made a one time donation of $501+ or more. We also send certain mailings to donors who have made cumulative lifetime gifts of $10k+. There is no way to filter by this option to easily add to a Campaign.

  10. The donor addresses found on donation records are not available to include in custom reports. Since the address on a donation may differ from what's found on a donor's profile, it would help to be able to view donation addresses through custom reports and exports. Right now, it requires manually viewing individual donations in the system to see that information.

  11. Could a custom report for Opportunity ALSO include available fields for Opp Task Names, associated Descriptions and Notes text, as well as fields for the Profile associated with the Opportunity?

    Currently, there are 3 potential Custom Reports (Task, Note, Opportunity) we can use to pull out almost all of this information, but the Available Fields vary dramatically within each of these, and none give a full Opportunity view or export.

    Task custom report: Pulls in the Label+ for the profile associated with the Opportunity, Opp Type Name field, Opp ID#, Opp Task Name field, Stage Name, AND Task Description text…

  12. I would like a way to report out a donor's cumulative donations, both direct and advised, without having to sort through and organize tens of thousands of donations in an Excel spreadsheet. There is a custom reports field option for donation amount; I would like one that totals ALL donations from a donor so we are able to - for example - pull donors whose $100 donations add up to $2,500.

  13. Similar to HubSpot's dashboard features, it would be useful to build custom dashboards where a collection of reports are saved on a particular page with a customized name.

    With this feature, the user could build custom reports and save them in a collection on a page where other users could access the dashboard to check metrics.

    This would help users who need to track custom metrics that aren't necessarily represented on the dashboards already created by CSuite.

  14. There really needs to be more options for reports under campaigns/reports.
    It's hard to pull reports for notes by campaigns.
    List of profiles within a group or request, except by the guest list
    no way to pull "unassigned" ticket report.

  16. We are going to be producing monthly a spreadsheet that will help us determine who normally distributes in a particular time frame and their spendable/available cash.

    It would be a dashboard we can frequently review.

    However, the pre-made reports or the custom ones do not grab both the spendable/available cash that we would need for review.

    Other fields that we would find beneficial include: the distribution type/sub types, fund summary and fund advisor.

    Nice to have would be the grantee names/dates/amounts.

  17. You can set a primary contact for an organization. But there is no way to pull that into a report. We prefer not to set the contact on the actual organization profile because it then prints that name on a check. There is no way to pull primary contact as a field in a report. It would be great if this was a reportable field so we can create effective and efficient contact lists.

  18. We need the option to filter to show only DAF gifts and grants. The current report shows all donations. We are also required in Schedule D to show only DAF donations and grants. This cannot be accomplished with the 990 Report.

  20. I'm working in Donor reports and like that I can see each year of giving, and Custom Reports doesn't do this. I would LOVE a Loyal Donor report with a filter to select for donation date of 2023, 2022, 2021, etc. and be able to roll up donor information to the household with emails for both donors (if a household) and mailing address so we can thank/recognize donors for their loyalty.
