  1. We work very hard to get our ticket purchasers to complete their guest information. But when they do and we select "Convert to Guest", the contact information entered on the guest record is NOT copied into the new profile. This is requiring duplicate work. Can we please have CSuite save the contact information from the guest record into the new profile?

  2. On the new Home Page in Sandbox, please make the headings bold and larger font. It is difficult to distinguish the headings amongst all the same fonts. Is it possible to space the rows out a bit? Everything feels very squished and a lot of empty space at the bottom. Bring back the larger heading for the quick menu, as we have in Prod now. We don't have our Company logo anymore??

  3. The history of grants from and gifts to a fund is important information to have at our fingertips! Please put the History button back on the main page of the Fund Module (it was removed in the recent update). We shouldn't have to go through multiple clicks to get to it!

  4. When creating a recurring grant, it would be much more efficient if certain fields were available to be initially populated. These include the grant advisor, the grant letter template, the grant type, service area, any custom fields, as well as the grant award letter template. Otherwise, these need to be populated every time the grant occurs each time, causing additional work.

    10/12/2023: Grants: Added the ability to add a Grant Advisor to Recurring Grants on creation or edit.  This will allow foundations to create Recurring Grants with an Grant Advisor in the backend, instead of having to login into the Fund Advisor portal.  Recurring Grants will now populate the Grant Type, Template, and Service Area once the grant has been created. Grant Type and Service Area will populate from the Grantee Record and if there aren't any from the Fund Record. Any Grant Custom Fields will still need to be completed on the created grants. 

  5. With the implementation of a Donation Dashboard, having the ability to categorize donations as internal versus external would allow organizations a more accurate visual of donations received within a year. CSuite includes all internal grants as donations which overstates actual donation figures.

    Released 1/3/2024:  Enhanced Dashboards to have Custom Report Filters. Users will now see a Filter hyperlink at the top of a Dashboard. Once filter has been selected, users will see a list of Custom Report Filters that are available to apply to the Dashboard. Current year will be a default filter for dashboards. If a graph does not populate once a filter is applied, the filter may not pertain to that graph.

  6. Was curious if all fields in the profile area can be tracked for changes? Noticed today that linking two profiles together or unlinking has no audit log tracking. Appears the website field of a profile also is not tracked for changes. Hoping all the fields can be tracked for changes so we can know who/what/when data was changed!

  7. Love the fact that we will be able to filter dashboards. We do need the ability to save filters so we can share that across users and retrieve it from session to session.

  8. Our use case is around scholarship only org profiles showing up for fund advisors to search causing numerous problems and confusion, but there are other applications for this. So, similar to hiding funds, consider adding a checkbox either on a org profile or grantee layer that prevents the profile from being searchable via the fund advisor portal when looking for grantees.

    Here is a link to a help article that explains how to make a vendor record inactive.  This can be done in bulk.  When a vendor record is inactive and there is a grantee designation on the profile, it is removed from the fund advisor search.  You can still create grants to inactive grantee's from the back end.  https://support.foundant.com/hc/en-us/articles/4414050001303-Bulk-Activate-or-Inactivate-Vendors-and-Grantees

  9. We need more than one way to find recurring grants, specifically have recurring grants listed on the fund's record. For example if a donor calls and asks what recurring grants they have set up, I am unable to go to their fund record and see their recurring grants. There is not even a field or button that identifies they have a recurring grant. I have have to go into recurring grants and then filter or do an F lookup. Stewards have no easy way to see who has a recurring grants in their portfolio.

  10. The new "cart" feature for Fund Advisor Grant Requests in the latest new release in the sandbox is nice. However, it seems there could be a possibility that a fund advisor has multiple grants sitting in the "cart" and not realize they need to go further to actually submit them. If they try to logout with unsubmitted grant requests, there should be an alert to the fact they have not submitted them.

    • The following was released yesterday to update the Fund Advisor cart workflow:  Fund Advisor: Enhanced the Fund Advisor area to have a new left-side menu called List Carts. This new menu will display any fund advisor grant request that has been created but not yet submitted to the foundation. This table will display the created date, fund advisor, Fund/Org, Amount, Grantee, and the Description of the a grant request. On the Fund Advisor Portal, we have updated the menu above the unsubmitted grant request to Unsubmitted Grant Request. The button for the cart option has also been updated from Review to Review and Submit Grant Request, to help the Fund Advisor process the cart. On the Review screen, Fund Advisors will now see the grantee's primary address as a quick way for them to confirm that they have selected the correct Grantee.   11. It would be helpful to have donors acknowledge and confirm with a required checkbox before submitting a grant to confirm that the grant they are submitting is not to be used for Non-Eligible Grantees.

    Meaning grants cannot be made for memberships, fulfillment of legally binding pledges, tickets to events, or anything else that provides benefits to the fund holder.

    We have several donors that submit grant requests where this is unclear and we have to call and confirm. This checkbox would allow them to acknowledge and call us if any questions about the grant's intention come up.

    4/19/2024: Fund Advisor: Added checkbox in Fund Advisor Settings: Grant Request Confirmation Text. This will allow users to enable a confirmation checkbox for the grant request workflow in the fund advisor portal.  With this enabled, Fund Advisors will not be able to process the grant request without checking the box to confirm request. This is an open text box that users can enter the grant eligibility language for their foundation. 

  12. When an advisor is using the portal to submit a grant, there should be a dropdown list to choose who should recognized for the grant among approved advisors for the fund.
    **This would be helpful for a child managing his parents fund or an assistant entering grants on his boss' behalf.

    There is an option in a Fund record to allow additional advisors.  This is found in a fund record, under the settings tab.  This can also be done in bulk.


    Here is a snippet from the Fund help article:  Allow Additional Advisors - Allows fund advisors to make grant requests on behalf of other advisors.  This does not need to be selected to have more than one fund advisor setup on a fund.

  13. Add 'type of profile' in the dropdown that appears when searching for a profile as it would be very helpful to know which profiles are Organizations, Individuals, or Households.

  14. We were excited to see that when someone purchases a ticket for an event, that the system sends them the receipt letter we created. The bad news is, it 100% looks like spam because the subject and message are vague and there is an attachment.

    The email reads like this (edited for privacy):

    11/1/2023:Added Ticket Receipt Email Subject and Ticket Receipt Email Body to the Details tab on Campaigns. This will allow users to add a customized email message and subject line for ticket purchases. The Ticket Receipt Email Body will be HTML compatible, but no merge fields for this content block.

  15. It would be very convenient if you could mark a custom report as a "favorite" that would then appear at the top of the Reports screen in a "Favorite Reports" section for easy access.

    There was a new option to create custom categories for reports released on 5/6/2023.  Please review the release note below.  This could be an option to create a favorite report category.


    Custom Reports: Enhanced Custom Reports to have a Save As option. This will allow clients to start with a report and make changes without losing that report. When saving a report, clients will now see a description field. This field can use this to create a description of the report which will be visible in the Custom Report list. In addition, there is now a new column for the creation date of the report. This will allow a User to identify when the report was created. A relative week date filter has been added. Selecting this filter will return data based on a Monday-Sunday week.

    Profiles: Enhanced checking the deceased checkbox to have functionality. Now when marking a profile deceased, it will also make the profile inactive, mark the address, emails, phone as inactive, and the designations: vendor, student, and grantee.  Clients will also be able to use bulk update for the deceased field.  (Released May 2024)

  17. Recently, I've noticed a change when entering gifts/grants, and I'm not sure whether it's an anomaly or a change that was made. When I tab through fields in a gift or grant entry, the tab used to only go through fillable fields. Now, the tab stops on the question marks by the field name. This almost doubles the number of clicks/tabs I need to make each entry. Any way to set this back to the way it was? Thanks!

  18. The tribute functionality is a big mess. There are multiple issues with it, which I have listed below:
    * When a donor enters "John & Jane Doe" in notify, CSuite creates an Organizational Profile. This makes finding and merging those profiles incredibly difficult.
    * Every time a donor enters notify information via the online portal, it is creating a DUPLICATE profile in CSuite. You would think this wouldn't be any big deal, but unfortunately we have tested this in multiple instances and CSuite does not recognize these are similar to existing profiles (so the little "merge" suggestion at the bottom…

    8/2/2023: Tributes: In order to manage tributes more efficiently, a new workflow has been designed for Tributes.

    The Tribute list view is now a custom report with the ability to sort each column and  have the ability to apply filters, save filtered lists, export, email and load for future use. On the left hand menu, there is also a new Delete Unused menu item.  This will allow clients to delete any unused tributes that do not have donations attached to the tribute or if the tribute does not have associated notify information. If the notify address or email information is not completed, the tribute information will move to a non-notify tribute field.  This will allow clients to retain the information about the tribute on the donation in a text field.

  19. In the new changes to sandbox for profiles. Wish that when you are looking at a household - you can see the list of household members closer to the top of the screen. You have to do a lot of scrolling if that profile has profile types on it in order to see if there are household members. Having to do that scrolling is taking A LOT of time.
