I would agree that there should be an Idea Lab specific to SLM. As someone who works in both the grant and scholarship worlds, there are very distinct differences in how scholarships are awarded and processed. What might work for grants may not work for scholarships.

SLM - could we have a screen that shows the Name of the Reviewing Committee, name of the reviewer, along with the reviewer's email address.
I am new to SLM so maybe that data is available elsewhere.

Agree... follow ups not being required to follow a specific work flow as mentioned in the GLM questions would be very useful in SLM as well.

Kelly - I add a Instruction at the beginning of each Evaluation form that includes a brief description of the scholarship, the eligibility criteria and donor preferences, as well as any specific evaluation criteria that is important to the scholarship. A little bit of work on my part, but it's all copy and paste from the scholarship criteria information in our fund agreements, and shared on our website for students.
We use scoring rubrics that score points according to the importance of the criteria being scored. For some evals, maybe GPA has more points than financial need if GPA is important. Or level of community service, financial need, potential major, etc. For the most part that works pretty well for us.
But the evaluators have that at the beginning of every evaluation they score and can easily refer to it.

I agree with a SLM idea lab. You find a thread that you think will solve your problem and then realize it only works in GLM.

I add description and amount of scholarship as an instruction field at the top of each Evaluation form. This way I hope the Evaluators are able to look at it as they go through each evaluation. All of our scholarships have different evaluation forms.

I agree with the description, and would also add a place to show them an amount available to award each year. We found a work around for this year by creating evaluation forms for each scholarship and adding the amount and description in instructional text.

Not only do we need an SLM Idea Lab but my Evaluators would like to see the details of the scholarships, and they can't! Nowhere on their Dashboard are they able to see the short description of the Scholarships that they will be reading for. They can only access via our Compendium. Let's get on that!
