  1. When adding or changing a users role (i.e. going from Board Member to Grants Manager) & assigning the Auto Emails they will be receiving; it would be nice to see a summary section as to what Auto Emails have been assigned.

  2. I'd like to be able to deselect the primary contact without selecting anyone else. Currently, the only way to do this is by making the old contact's email invalid and deactivating them, adding them again, and leaving the primary button blank. This is time consuming since you then have to reassign all of the applications to the "new" contact.

  4. When emails are sent through the Foundant system, the only way to verify that the message went through is to dig into the email history for each individual recipient. It would be helpful if Foundant sent an 'undeliverable' notification to the administrator when a message bounces back as undeliverable. With frequent staff turnover at some grantee organizations, missed messages have resulted in missed deadlines for grantees.

  5. We have a couple of applications where the student needs to have their counselor upload their transcript for them, as well as have 2 different references upload letters of recommendation. But since only one template can be attached to the process, our email tried to explain that the student was requesting a transcript OR letter of reference and to refer to the student's email to clarify which they needed. We then provided text for the students to paste into the email. But it seems at least 50% of the time, the student didn't fully follow the instructions and confused 3rd…

  6. When users – especially applicants – enter the wrong password this warning pops up:

    • “The Verification Code* field is required.
    • The Email Address or Password you have entered is incorrect. Please retype them, or create a new account if you have not done so before.”
    This wording is confusing as we have had several users ask where they can get this “verification code” – when really it is just asking for their password. This has resulted in calls and emails that take up additional staff time just to explain what the message means.
    Can this language be changed…

  7. Right now finding information about an Evaluator's past involvement requires jumping through quite a few hoops and still doesn't give you a full picture of what they've participated in.

    For examples below, we’ll use Evaluator Jim, who helped out on Evaluations with Process 1 last year (where all requests are now closed out and the process is archived), Process 2 earlier this year (where all requests are approved / denied), and is currently helping with Process 3.

We have processes that need specific information that is not in system (IE award notice, award presentation, notice of dates for 6-mo and 12-mo reporting) and it would be nice to have folders in the Communications area to batch them together - or collapse a group together, rather than have to have them all listed. It would be nice if the URL merge field that can copy/pasted into an email template displayed as a hyperlink with a short name (such as "Logon"), rather than just pasting in a long website address that the recipient then has to copy and paste out of the email themselves. I was pretty surprised when I realized this is what the merge field resulted in, as its pretty unpolished looking. Thanks for considering.

  10. Please simplify mail merge for letters, etc. so that it is as easy an intuitive as mail merge for emails. I have been making mail merge letters for 5 years now and it's clunky and very prone to error. I was struggling with one letter, which was printing the dollar figure for the 1st installment twice. My customer support representative told me about toggling field codes on and off, which is how he found a hidden code. Such hidden codes are unacceptable.   11. When emailing to students, it would be great to include all of the parents' emails in the BCC line so they receive the email too.

    Right now, it needs to be completed one at a time for each student to add the parent's email address.

  12. It would wonderful to be able to delete emails in batches from "email history" instead of one by one.

    Deleting them individually in cases where numerous emails need to be deleted to save space is really onerous.

  13. The name and description of the “Show Contact Info” setting (found in the Process Summary section of in the Process Manager) is misleading. From what I read, I thought unchecking it would remove the contact information (address, email, phone, EIN, etc.) from the top of an application -- I didn’t think it would take away the organization/applicant names from the evaluators' dashboards. That makes it difficult for evaluators to work through their list of applications. It would be more helpful to have this called something like “Show Applicant/Organization Name” and have the description talk about keeping the applicants anonymous.

  14. It would be helpful to have a revised date column on the email templates list so it's easy to see which have been recently used/updated, particularly when making a common change to all currently used templates.

  15. When a user forgets their password, they click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link. They enter their email address, and receive a reset email. They follow the link in the email to create a new password. At this point, they have to log in again with the new password.
    Is it possible to shorten this process for the system to log them in with their new password once it is created?

  16. Recently, the software company we used to create digital board books went out of business. This software wasn't anything fancy, but did allow us to share Foundant proposals and other relevant documents with our board (agendas, financial statements, etc.). Since they have closed up shop, we have had the board use Foundant to review grants, pushing them all to use the platform exclusively to review, which has been great. However, this has meant that we also have to email them any additional materials separately. This has created confusion and resulted in more paper waste than previous solutions.

  17. As an administrator we often get requests from the grantee/awardee on an adhoc basis(change in investigator, awardee or budget request change), I would love to have an outward facing form that the grantee/awardee can submit to us online instead of offline via email. This change would be an enhancement in the system that would be favorable for both us the administrator and the grantee. Currently the follow-up forms are 1 and done forms and not practical for non-route follow-up requested initiated from the applicant/grantee end.

  18. When going into "contact email history" and attempting to resend an email to a third party, the auto-filled recipient is the applicant and not the 3rd party. It would be extremely convenient to be able to quickly resend automated emails to 3rd parties from "contact email history" instead of having to go back into the application to do so.

  19. Consider adding some type of date column for all the LOIs in draft form so we can easily sort by date to see how long LOIs have been languishing in draft form. And it would be great if we could email the applicant directly from there - or that may already be an option but I can't recall. Thanks!

  20. We have numerous grants where followups are assigned to the applicant but then changed to a new person for various reasons. It should be an option to include the name of the person assigned the follow up rather than the original applicant.
