New Profile Look/Notes
With the new look of Profiles, we're suggesting that the Notes Tab have some kind of notification to alert you that a note or notes exist. It used to be readily visible below. Now you're forced to open every single tab to get an accurate account of the profile. Maybe show a number on the tab of how many notes are there or possibly change the color of the tab to alert someone to check the tab.

New Grant Process - Checkbox to decline grant document creation
Please enable a checkbox to decline or STOP the creation of a grant document. Many of our internal grants do not need a grant document created but we have no way to turn these off. It add several extra steps to delete the letter which is not applicable.
14 votes- 1-18-2023: Checks: Added the ability to delete or email the grant or scholarship letters from the check id. This will allow clients to remove the grant or scholarship letters if needed.

Ability to tag merge profiles that don't appear in Engagement tab
To my knowledge we can only tag merge profiles that appear in the Engagement tab on a profile. It would be helpful if there was a way to tag two profiles for merging that don't appear in the engagement tab.
We like using the tag merge feature so staff can recommend records to merge so other staff who are assigned that ability can make the determination to do so. Sometimes we find records that we think might be duplicates that don't appear under Engagement which would make this feature helpful.
1 voteIn a profile record, there is a left side menu option titled Merge. After selecting Merge, you will be prompted to search for the profile record that needs to be merged.

Archive option for Scholarship page
Create an option to archive closed scholarships on the main CSuite scholarship list page. This will help clean up everyone's list to make it only active scholarships while still preserving historical scholarship/ fund data.
1 voteAn option to close a scholarship was released on 2/9/2024 this year. Here is the release note:
Scholarships: Added Bulk Close or Bulk Open the to List of Scholarships. The two new left-side menu items, Close and Open, can be found in Scholarships and then Scholarships. Once a user has applies a filter to the list of scholarships, then they can use the bulk action. There is also new bulk actions in the Scholarship Paid Bucket to allow user to select which Scholarship Awards to move from the Paid bucket to the Completed bucket.
No Permissions have been changed with these updates. -
Bulk Edit Closed Funds
We are working through some clean up projects tied to how we coded groups, subgroups, divisions, and segments. The bulk edit feature works great, but it only impacts opened funds. During a recent audit, we identified 100 closed that needed to be moved from one group to another. The information was crucial for analysis purposes - so we had to reopen 100 funds (one by one), bulk edit the 100 funds, then closed them again (one by one). 8 votes02-07-2024: Funds: Added Bulk Open and Bulk Close to the funds left hand menu option, from the List All, List Open, List DAF's, List Agency, List Affiliate screens. This will allow users to filter the list to the funds that need to be opened or closed and use bulk functionality.
When closing the funds in bulk, the system will process each fund individually, users will see the Fund id closed message when the fund is closed. If the fund can not be closed because of balances, the system will show a yellow message with the fund name and id. Clients will need to resolve the issue and go back and start the process again for that fund and any remaining funds after it.

Event Ticketing needs to collect more info
We need more fields to collect information when people register for events. Many of our events are training/seminars and we info on dietary requirements as well as other questions to gauge areas of interest and what topics we should focus on. Our current solution is to use Google forms to collect all of the free form information and then at the end, give them a link to pay for the ticket. This then requires us to manual match up who has registered and who has paid. It is also difficult to keep track of the new ones. Those paying by…
29 votes9/30/2023: Campaigns: Added the ability to add a Request Type to a campaign. This will allow clients to organize more that one request type on a campaign. Request Types can be multiselect or single select. The Request Type Name field can hold up to 255 characters. Current requests will appear in a n/a group until a request type is created and assigned to the request. Clients may take caution in changing since these have all been multiselect to make sure and note which item was selected for the ticket purchaser before modifying the request.

Would like ability to change Fund Advisor to NOT primary
Currently, once a fund advisor is made Primary, it's not possible to de-select them as primary. Seems like this could be a check box like the other Permissions, rather than a button.
56 votesThis is already possible, as long as there is more than one fund advisor on the fund. If there is only one fund advisor it is the primary. It is a radio button since only one fund advisor can be primary.

Please can we have the option to turn off charity check for international organisations that do not make grants to charities in the US.
1 voteIn Grants>Settings, select edit settings and uncheck the option to enable Guidestar. This will turn off the requirement for charity check while processing grants.

Inactivate a Letter Template
Now that you cannot delete a letter template once it has been attached to a grant, it would be great to be able to "Inactivate" an old template to remove it from the dropdown list of options. Otherwise, the template option list may become very lengthy and hard to navigate.

Add Filter to Voucher Bucket for User / Employee who Created Grant
We have a group of staff who are working on grant vouchers at the same time that do not break down by fund group, subgroup, steward, etc. We would like a way to filter the Grant Voucher Bucket to show grants created by a specific user (employee). Is that possible?

Add field of First_Name to Fund Advisor Content for Advisor_login_email
Rather than Dear {name} which populates the donor first and last name, can you add a field list and make first name be an option so we could change to Dear First_Name? We change this every time we send the fund advisor email to a donor. It appears so much more personal than first and last name.

Donation portal fund sorting
Currently the donation portal funds are sorted by the Fund's Group in CSuite. Given that we are able to segment funds further by subgroup, divisions and segments, it'd be great if we could instead choose which criteria to sort the portal by e.g. via the Fund's division rather than group.
12 votesWe will not be updating the sorting of promoted funds by group in the legacy donation portal. If you enable the new donation portal, promoted funds will sort alphabetically or in the order you set. Remove from campaign filter
There is no longer an option to use the invited to campaign filter and remove it from a campaign. You can select invited to campaign and add profiles to a different campaign, but there is no remove from campaign option for the invited to campaign filter. This makes for a lot manual work when trying to remove a specific group of profiles from a campaign.
1 voteWhen in a Campaign, select the profiles tab, then the left side menu option to +Update Profiles. Next, select either profiles or donations (this would depend which filters you need). After adding the filter, you can select -Remove from Campaign from the left hand menu to remove the profiles in bulk.

Dashboards: Customize dates based on Fiscal Year
I really like the Metrics Dashboards. It would be great if we can have a way to customize the time annual frame. More specifically, our fiscal year is from July to June as oppose Jan to Dec. The Dashboards for us would be even more helpful if the grantmaking data reflected our annual budget based on a July to June fiscal year.
It can be a binary option where we can set the Metrics Dashboards to either Jan to Dec fiscal year or July to June fiscal year.

Identify user who made changes in logs
Would be helpful when we need to follow up to understand why a change was made - why a profile was assigned to new engagement strategy or why a profile was added/removed from a campaign, for example.
2 votesAll logs include the "who" in the last column. This is the User for that transaction, etc.

Import tickets
Create CSV Import for tickets for special ticketing outside of using CSuite. This could also help with guests that may not have added information before the event.

create spendables
When creating spendables where you have added a grantee beneficiary to funds. Can you please allow Fund names to be listed for users to select "By Fund" and not by a Group? Creating spendable by a group or groups makes it very confusing to work with as so many grants appear in the Grants/New bucket at the same time.

Inactive addresses should not populate as option for print envelope feature
When utilizing the "print envelope" feature within a person or organization's profile, all of the listed addresses populate to select from...even the inactive ones. To be sure, one must use the back button to confirm the primary. Please list the primary address as the top option and PLEASE do not list inactive addresses. This could save time and avoid many slip ups when mailing via USPS (sharing for a friend...) Thanks :)
40 votes5/3/2023: Profiles have a new a look with this enhancement. Foundant is excited to take so many of the User submitted ideas from idea lab and make them happen in the software. Our highest voted idea lab submission was the ability to identify the main profile data regardless of the designation.
The profile summary includes the information needed when working with constituents. The primary profile data will now be static at the top of the page regardless of the designation page that is being viewed. This summary includes an image, primary contact information, last donation date and pronouns. With this new layout there will be an icon next to the profiles name at the header. This will allow a User to easily identify an individual, household, or organization record. Images have also been added to the top header box for easy reference as well. Profile Fund Custom Report - Add Checklist to Filter on Profile Fund Category Name
On the Profile Fund Custom Report, we need the ability to filter the report based on more than one Profile Fund Category Name. Unless I'm missing something, it look likes this can only be done by filtering on the text field. Is there a way to add the LIST of Profile Fund Category Names to the filter option so that we can simply check the choices desired?
23 votesYou should be able to add Profund Cat Id to your report. Then when you filter use this same field to filter one..use the checkbox option to select the fund categories.
