  1. When a scholarship fund is marked post by payment, and you are processing a payment it should function just as any other grant you are processing. Currently if you are processing a scholarship payment and the balance of the fund is not enough to cover the payment, it does not warn you that there are not enough funds in the account if that fund is marked "post by payment". This should function the same in the grant buckets just like any other grant, if there are not enough funds to make the grant, it should give you a warning or…

  2. For yearly tax receipts, we have option to pull household label but not household salutation. Add this field as an option in year-end templates too!

    9/22/2023: Idea Lab Live: 

    Yearly Tax Receipts: Added the ability to print Envelopes for Yearly Tax Receipts.  Best practice would be to use Custom Reporting, opposed to Filtered Reports, so that clients can filter out donors without addresses.  Envelope job will not complete with profiles that are missing addresses.  


    Templates: Added the Profile and Donation Custom Fields to the Yearly Tax Receipt, along with the Household Salutation.  

  3. Hello, a great help when running my budget for the pay period, could be have accounts payable by Division. Because in our foundation each division has its own checking account. I need to forecast for everypay period how much I will need per account.

  5. Now that Profiles have tabs, it would be great if Funds had tabs also. For example, some of our funds have a lot of files that require scrolling down the page. If we could have those visible by clicking on a tab instead that would be great.

    8/2/2023: Funds: Updated UI to align with look and feel of profiles and campaigns. The fund record now has a header which contains the main fund information and is available on all tabs. In order to organize fund information and limit the left side menu options, the following tabs have been added: Details, Relationships, Settings, Fund Statements, Files & Notes.

    On the Details tab, clients will see the main details of the fund such as: short name, creation date, fund groups, and the fund assets sections.  We have also moved budget and loans, from the Options settings to Details card . Reports are still located on the Detail’s Tab, but have all been grouped under on left hand menu: Reports.  Once Reports is selected a new page will appear and all of the Reports will appear in the left hand menu.

    On the Relationship's Tab clients will find Scholarships, Beneficiaries,…

  6. 'Mailing Label' should be an optional field to add to fund advisor and profile reports.

  9. We would like to be able to pull the Fund Steward's (staff) name into donation / donor reports so that we can filter reports based on the fund steward instead of the profile steward. This allows our staff to monitor donation activity for their set of funds.

Now that Relationships, Engagements, Files, and Notes are hidden behind tabs, it would be helpful if there was a way to tell if there was data in those sections WITHOUT having to click on them (e.g., If there are no Notes, the tab could be grayed out, or if there are notes a number in parentheses to indicate how many notes exist.)

    • 6/22/2023:Profiles: Resolved an issue with case sensitivity not applying with editing addresses on a profile. Added a number to indicate how many notes/files are in a tab. Added website to the profile merge.
  11. The new "cart" feature for Fund Advisor Grant Requests in the latest new release in the sandbox is nice. However, it seems there could be a possibility that a fund advisor has multiple grants sitting in the "cart" and not realize they need to go further to actually submit them. If they try to logout with unsubmitted grant requests, there should be an alert to the fact they have not submitted them.

    • The following was released yesterday to update the Fund Advisor cart workflow:  Fund Advisor: Enhanced the Fund Advisor area to have a new left-side menu called List Carts. This new menu will display any fund advisor grant request that has been created but not yet submitted to the foundation. This table will display the created date, fund advisor, Fund/Org, Amount, Grantee, and the Description of the a grant request. On the Fund Advisor Portal, we have updated the menu above the unsubmitted grant request to Unsubmitted Grant Request. The button for the cart option has also been updated from Review to Review and Submit Grant Request, to help the Fund Advisor process the cart. On the Review screen, Fund Advisors will now see the grantee's primary address as a quick way for them to confirm that they have selected the correct Grantee.   12. It would be helpful if, from an account, when searching for transactions, the ability to filter for a closed fund were possible. We tend to need this information for audit related items and any funds that closed during the year are frustrating to get to the relevant information.

  14. It may just be me, but....it seems like if I print envelopes or labels from the donations-tax receipt section, they are in different order. And that order differs from the order in which the letters print. Can that be fixed (and if it's a user error, can someone please just let me know?) :)

    Release note from 9/20/23:  

    Donations: Enhanced Tax Receipt Bulk Actions to save the selected list of donations. This will allow clients to make a selection of the Tax Receipts and then process through Printing letters, Envelopes, Labels and Marking the donations sent. This update will also print the envelopes in the same order as the letters.

  16. It would be nice to be able to deactivate Donation Types. We have some that are no longer relevant, but we don't want to simply delete them as it impacts the donations connected to them. It would be nice to have the ability to deactivate them so those donation types don't appear on the drop down when entering new gifts.

  17. Anytime you process a grant, we noticed that the pay schedule and funding information would all of sudden disappear from the grant and we would have to reenter the information. Apparently, when you select an item from the 'grant cycle' drop-down before post/approval, it erases this data because it assumes you are using a 'grant catalog.' Why isn't that field called 'grant catalog' if that is actually what it is referring to? Since that field is called 'grant cycle' we have been using it to track what internal cycle that grant is associated with. Why are these labels different? And…

  18. Currently the donation portal funds are sorted by the Fund's Group in CSuite. Given that we are able to segment funds further by subgroup, divisions and segments, it'd be great if we could instead choose which criteria to sort the portal by e.g. via the Fund's division rather than group.

  19. Absolutely love the profile look - hoping to see for Funds too! We use both the GLM and CSuite, so we need to option to sync to the GLM when creating in Csuite (option only - some profiles do not sync over). Our settings are set to search GLM on profile create, but it's not giving that option. The links are not working as well for those with links.

  20. The new dashboards are excellent. Are there plans to create a Grants dashboard similar to the others? If so, I would like to suggest it be filterable by Fund Type, Service Area, date ranges, and grant type. This would be very helpful for board reporting and analysis of grant activity and trends.

    8/2/2023: Scholarships:  A default dashboard has been added to the left side menu option in Scholarships, Students, Grants and Grantees.  All data in this dashboard populates based on the Scholarship Award Date and Grants will populate from Grant Date.

    Permissions:  Dashboard permission has been added to Scholarships, Students, Grants, and Grantees.  These permissions are enabled for the Admin group.
