  1. Hi! It would be helpful to have an easy way to see what a Portal account will look like without having to have the donor set their password already. It is strange to me that as an Admin, I do not have a way to access a donor's portal to answer questions about how it will work for them if they have not set up their own access yet. Admins should be able to log in to any portal account at any time, in my opinion.

    02/14/2024: Fund Advisors: Added the ability for users to Login As a Fund Advisor without the Fund Advisor setting a password. This will allow users to assist and review the view of a Fund Advisors prior to them logging into the Fund Advisor Portal.


    No Permission Changes. 

  2. Currently, once a fund advisor is made Primary, it's not possible to de-select them as primary. Seems like this could be a check box like the other Permissions, rather than a button.

  3. I see that it appears fund advisors used to received notification once they had submitted a grant request, and that, after user feedback, it was changed to send the notification after the grant was approved and paid. However, I would love to see both options available. We do have some fund advisors who want a confirmation email of their submitted request in real time, as immediate back up. While I recognize that they could print the home page showing the submitted request, for some of our "older school" advisors, this is still not satisfactory.

    6/7/2023: Fund Advisor: In order to allow additional customization, new content blocks have are available to create content headers for each of the tabs on the Fund Advisor Portal. The new content blocks can be found in the Fund Advisor Content menu. The new content blocks are HTML compatible.

  4. The new "cart" feature for Fund Advisor Grant Requests in the latest new release in the sandbox is nice. However, it seems there could be a possibility that a fund advisor has multiple grants sitting in the "cart" and not realize they need to go further to actually submit them. If they try to logout with unsubmitted grant requests, there should be an alert to the fact they have not submitted them.

    • The following was released yesterday to update the Fund Advisor cart workflow:  Fund Advisor: Enhanced the Fund Advisor area to have a new left-side menu called List Carts. This new menu will display any fund advisor grant request that has been created but not yet submitted to the foundation. This table will display the created date, fund advisor, Fund/Org, Amount, Grantee, and the Description of the a grant request. On the Fund Advisor Portal, we have updated the menu above the unsubmitted grant request to Unsubmitted Grant Request. The button for the cart option has also been updated from Review to Review and Submit Grant Request, to help the Fund Advisor process the cart. On the Review screen, Fund Advisors will now see the grantee's primary address as a quick way for them to confirm that they have selected the correct Grantee.   5. Right now, any interfund grants show up on the Donor Portal home tab as the name of the foundation, not the individual fund. It would be nice to have the individual fund names represented instead. It is a little misleading when someone views the top contributors and all the individual funds are lumped together under the main foundation's name. It would be nice to see individual fund's generosity recognized.

  6. When donors submit a grant request through the portal, they have the option to marke it an anonymous grant. However, this selection does not come over into the online grant request information. This can lead to confusion on funds that do not typically issue anonymous grants. It would be great if this information could be captured as the donor entered it down in the grant request information section to help eliminate concern of staff error.

  7. The 'Total Grants' amount on the Home tab differs from the total of the grants show on the 'Grants' tab because the 'Grants' tab includes scholarships and the home tab 'Total Grants' does not. Would like to see those amounts match for the Fund Advisors

    • Fund Advisor Portal: Added the Scholarship and Top 10 student graph as a separate graph on the fund advisor portal. If the Show Student Data is not enabled, the student name will display as anonymous on the chart displaying for the fund advisor.
      Funds: Added the Scholarship graph as a separate graph on the History report on a fund.
  8. It would be great if a grant recommendation acknowledgement could be sent to fund advisors upon submission of a grant rec via the online portal. Not only does would this notfication thank the user for recommending a grant, it assures them that the grant is being processed.

  9. It would be very helpful to have the option for additional merge fields in the system content fundstatementreviewemailbody.
    Specifically, at least {fund name} would be helpful as well as others.
    We have advisors that receive statements from multiple funds and without fund name in the email body, it is going to appear that they are just getting the same email multiple times. If fund name were included, they could recognize they are getting an email for each fund the advise.

  10. Thanks for the ability to let donors set their own password, but can we have a different/ customized email that isn't the standard Fund ADvisor "Thank you for setting up a fund" email. The email needs to acknowledge that they are resetting their password. It's not only confusing to the donor, but it makes us look like we don't know what we're doing. Thanks!!

  11. The system data content section, donationnotifyemail_body, has specifications for email notifications to fund advisors when a donation has been made to their fund. Currently the field for the donor that made the donation is:

    {{donor_name}}

    That is shown as last name, first name. We'd like a field that shows first name last name. The field could be similar to the donationemailbody section that has:

    {name} {salutation}

    Alternatively, maybe {{donor_name}} could just be changed to first name last name.

  12. Allow donors in Portal to use a "shopping cart" type of grant requests (making multiple grant requests in one swoop). Currently, our clients have to fill out one request a time or do it offline.

    6/7/2023:Fund Advisor:  There is a new enhancement that will allow a foundation to enable a cart option for grant requests.  If the Fund Advisor Cart functionality is enabled, the fund advisor will receive one email for the entire “cart” of requests.  The can be enabled for all fund advisors by selecting the check box Fund Advisor Cart in Fund Advisors>Settings>Edit Settings.

  13. Could you add the street address for view in the donor portal in addition to the city/state? This way a donor can know if they need to submit an updated address if it is someone they may have donated to before.

  14. Rather than Dear {name} which populates the donor first and last name, can you add a field list and make first name be an option so we could change to Dear First_Name? We change this every time we send the fund advisor email to a donor. It appears so much more personal than first and last name.

  15. When an advisor is using the portal to submit a grant, there should be a dropdown list to choose who should recognized for the grant among approved advisors for the fund.
    **This would be helpful for a child managing his parents fund or an assistant entering grants on his boss' behalf.

    There is an option in a Fund record to allow additional advisors.  This is found in a fund record, under the settings tab.  This can also be done in bulk.


    Here is a snippet from the Fund help article:  Allow Additional Advisors - Allows fund advisors to make grant requests on behalf of other advisors.  This does not need to be selected to have more than one fund advisor setup on a fund.

  18. Currently how the system is set up is that one email PER grant processed goes out to the fund advisors of the fund. We have many funds that make multiple grants out of their fund at one time, resulting in them receiving a number of confirmation emails.

    Could the system be set up so that it only sends ONE email with all of the details of the grant(s) processed?

    6/7/2023:Fund Advisor: This enhancement allows the foundation to enable the ability for their fund advisors to receive an email confirming that they have submitted a grant request online. There is a new check box at the fund advisor level called Request Confirmation Email. The foundation can chose to enable this for all fund advisors by selecting the check box Advisor Request Confirmation Email in Fund Advisors>Settings>Edit Settings. There is also a new content area for the Advisor_request_confirm_email_body.

  19. It would be much easier for the advisors to have tributes (in memory of or in honor of) on the front facing portion of gifts on the portal. Frequently this info is needed for thank you notes. Currently the advisor needs to export gifts in order to see this information. This is not intuitive. We frequently need to explain the process and at times run a report and email to our donors who aren't computer savvy.

    8/2/2023: Tributes: In order to manage tributes more efficiently, a new workflow has been designed for Tributes.

    The Tribute list view is now a custom report with the ability to sort each column and  have the ability to apply filters, save filtered lists, export, email and load for future use. On the left hand menu, there is also a new Delete Unused menu item.  This will allow clients to delete any unused tributes that do not have donations attached to the tribute or if the tribute does not have associated notify information. If the notify address or email information is not completed, the tribute information will move to a non-notify tribute field.  This will allow clients to retain the information about the tribute on the donation in a text field.

  20. We have 4 Staff Members who are also Fund Advisors. Currently, we need to have 2 separate user profiles for them because their work email is used so that they can navigate and process in CSuite/GLM. Their other CSuite profile is used with their personal email so that they can navigate within the Fund Advisor Portal.

    It would be nice if there would be some type of profile/user merge that would allow them to use one email address or the other so that we only have 1 profile entered in CSuite.
