This was my idea above. I thought I had deleted it, but I had only succeeded in making it anonymous, since others had already voted for the idea.
I am glad it's still here! Because I do still want to propose this for consideration. I had backtracked on it, after working with support further, because it was suggested to me that incorporating Financial Views into our statements could solve this issue.
I must warn you, while Financial Views does offer some additional flexibility such as sort order, it was quite time consuming to implement a test of this to satisfy what our existing template had accomplished already simply with Statement Accounts that we could sort with a leading space. We had to not only create the financial views, but be mindful you need to plug it into your Fund Statement Format, and also change coding in your templates to pull from Financial View.
In the end, we can't make this work for our template, because it can't pull a YTD figure. So while it solved the new puzzle of sorting created by a recent CSuite update, we can't work around it by adapting our statements to use Financial Views, as it can't show YTD figures, only current period.
So pretty please, would you consider adding a Sort Order to Statement Accounts, as functionality to restore what we had when you stopped allowing a leading space to "float to the top"? That was something you had suggested to us initially, so while we understand it needed to be pulled if it was causing other issues throughout the database, we request that an alternate solution be offered.
