Allow Staff Evaluators to have access to the Request and Decisions search tool as part of their user role
When a staff evaluator is reviewing an application, there are times when the organization has received or applied previously. Ideally, the evaluator should have the ability to view this past information to see what was funded as well as read the follow up grant reports.

"ALL" Option for Required Questions in creating Processes
It would be nice to not have to manually go into each question in a process to select "Optional" or "Required" at times. If at the top, we could select "ALL REQUIRED" or the same for optional, then we can edit individual questions if we want the opposite. This would be nice for when we wish to accept applicants that don't have their complete application filled out once we reach our deadline so we don't have to go through every question, or for when we create new processes. Just a thought!

Preview Option
It would be useful to include a unique preview link for each process rather than an access code. I have several grant programs running at the same time this fall and I don't find that the preview option is a benefit as some applicants may not scroll far enough to view the process they are interested in. Would like to be able to enter a process, copy the link for that specific preview option, and paste it onto my specific webpage for that process.

View Organization History search
It would be helpful to search by Users/Applicants who have access to View Organization History. Similar to the way we are able to search for User Status as active or inactive.

Show applicant status separated by approval and denial
I spoke with Cindy Raab about separating the show applicant status option to have approved show up on the applicants dashboard in the number of days they have set. Also, to have a separate option for denials so that would show up on the number of days they have selected. For example if they have show applicant status approved set to 1 day and the denial set to 7 days.

Organization search, would like default to list archived organizations as well (instead of having to remember to open the archived section)
When searching organizations, all active organizations are listed. The inactive organizations are hidden. It is easy to miss the archived tab and reenter an organization, creating duplicates. It would be more helpful for me to see all active, and all inactive, and give me the ability to hide the ones I don't want to see.

Admin Role Make Private Notes
It would be great if I could make comments/ notes about an LOI/Application at various parts in the process that could be private. The other administrators wouldn't necessarily need to see these or would be unable to make sense of them as they would be thoughts most useful for myself as grants manager.

Create an option restrict the viewability of a follow up only to the person it is assigned
We have grantee organizations that have one person managing the grant program and other staff managing the financial records. One grantee needs to keep their financial reporting confidential from the program staff person who is the primary contact in the system (their organizational policy is that staff salaries, etc. are not shared among their staff).
Since the primary contact has access to the entire grant record, it would be great to restrict viewability of the financial report follow up only to the financial staff person to whom it is assigned.

Send email a little easier...
Not that it is a big deal, but is it possible to make the entire email template bar a selection for the email you wish to send, rather than just the little envelope icon?
When we go from a request to send an email to an applicant you can hover over the list of email templates and it slightly highlights each template, but you do have literally click on the envelope.
This isn't a top priority of course, but just curious if it is feasible. It would make the task that little bit more straightforward.1 voteThanks for your time in the idea lab.

Number proposals in submitted category
Agree w/ comment below...need to have submitted proposals listed alphabetically AND numbered. And it would be great if there could be a way to see if other trustees have reviewed proposals without having to open them and scroll to proposal review section.

Update the Eval Saved page to display more useful information
Currently, after clicking "Save" on an Eval form, the page that loads notifies users what required questions are unanswered. It would be great if this page could include what non-required questions are unanswered, but even more so, I'd love to see a link to continue working on that Eval form specifically. Otherwise from the alert page showing which questions are unanswered, a user has to click "Continue" to go back to the full workload screen, click back into that organization/eval Summary, then click the page icon to edit the eval fields -- which opens in a new window.

Evaluation for Boards: simplify- too much info and too many ways to access the application
Our Boards that evaluate are often volunteers with varying degrees of computer experience. Could this be more streamlined???
A lot of people don't read cheat sheets or review tutorial that are provided so they aren't finding the "simplest way to review the application-via the application packet :)
I love the APPLICATION PACKET for reviewing apps, this is not covered in the video tutorial.
We have streamlined our applications and requested that all application uploads are in PDF or Word Format so that they will slide nicely into that packet.

Expand Board Member Dashboard
We do not consistently use board member evaluations, and even when we do - its only after applications have been submitted. So we spend time answering questions about whether applications are in, follow ups are completed etc.
I think allowing board members to see the full dashboard makes sense across multiple foundations that we work with. I also think they should be able to see the payment tracking (another area where questions come up).

Ability for Reviewers to Make Private Notes
We are just finishing up our first cycle of reading using GLM, and I received this feedback from a board member and I promised I would pass it on:
It would be great for reviewers to be able to make notes on the apps that only that reviewer could see - the equivalent of a note jotted down on a paper app. Meaning if Board Reviewer A signs in and reviews and app, makes a note in the Comments section, Board Reviewer B would not be able to see that note.

Board Packets
Hello Community Members,
One of the clients that I have been training recently had a good question for me today and that is how do other Foundant clients manage their board books. This foundation would like to know where you might post the following documents for the Board to access but also allow Board Members or Trustees to add notes to those document for others to see:
•Minutes from previous board meetings
•Agenda for the upcoming meeting
•Monthly Financial Report
•Executive Directors Report
•Etc..

User Alert!
With the latest versions of GLM, Foundant can provide sign-in alerts to their clients. It would be nice if that functionality could be extended to the clients for use with their applicants. I would like to be able to have a pop-up that could say that deadlines have been extended, etc.

Custom URLs
I'd love to be able to customize the URL to our grants portal.
Right now, I feel silly saying to our grantees: "You can access our grants portal here: https://www.grantinterface.com/Common /LogOn.aspx?eqs=ph_BjRFP96u-8PaY4j7weg2."
It would be nice if there was a way to change this to a nicer URL like " http://www.grantinterface.com/rihumanities. " We can do this with our facebook page and eventbrite events...why not our grants portal?

System Message Amnesia
I would like GLM to remember me!
I use multiple computers and devices (and also have a habit of clearing out tracking cookies). It seems that whenever I login to GLM, I am always presented with the same system message that I have just read on my tablet, or work computer, or phone. It would be great to not have this linked to ephemeral cookies or other client side mechanisms of remembering me. Perhaps a flag could be set on my user profile as a way of remembering me.

Search Requests By City/State
We love the improvements for the Requests & Decisions search, but one thing that would absolutely make our work easier is to add City and State within the searchable fields.
Sure we can develop a saved Report for all the states across the US, but that won't offer a link to view the organizations we are funding.
Right now, we can search for City/State within Contacts -Organizations but this does not indicate whether organizations have been funded or they had applied and were not funded. We still then have to do more sorting, and we just want a quick look…1 vote
