Better saving for administrators
1) Can the Save Changes button be made more obvious. For administrators, that button is in the middle of the page between what we need to fill in, internally, and what the applicant has filled in. It's so light in color that you can scroll right past is without realizing it.
2) A fifteen minute warning flash before getting kicked out would great. While reviewing, it's possible to lose track of time when reviewing attachments that have opened in another program. I know there's a warning on the screen, but would it be possible to have the explorer button on the bottom of the screen flash (or something similar) so that you know the warning has come up? I'm still getting reports from admins here that they'll get kicked out and some information hasn't saved.
Thanks

Hi Mary,
A few releases ago, we changed the timeout notification to be an actual pop-up that comes up on the screen. That hopefully addresses the 2nd point above.
In regard to the first point - the Save button - we've also made it more obvious in the last few releases as well.
As we wrap up the 4.1.0 release in a few weeks, I'm going to mark this Idea Lab item as completed. If you have more input around this, please let me know.
Thanks again for the suggestions - I think the changes we've made to address these ideas have benefited a lot of users.

Hi Mary and Jen,
Thanks for the suggestions. In regard to the Save Changes button ... I'm assuming you mean the button on the page ApplicationDecision.aspx. If so, I totally agree. I was working on code for a separate issue, and to test it I had to use that button a fair bit, and it was clumsy at best. It's not going to change in the next few releases, but I would like to revisit the design of this page and come up with something that's more intuitive and cleaner.
In regard to the warning (#2 above), that's probably further out. From an effort perspective, things get a bit trickier when trying to handle multiple browser windows and timeouts, and I think there are probably other higher-priority things we will be addressing first.
As a note ... please include the URL (ideally) or the page title / tab title (less useful, but still better than nothing) when referring to a particular page. There are a lot of pages, and it takes time to try to figure out what users might be referring to.
Thanks

YES re: Save changes especially. Also, there are times when it feels like we've hit it and it hasn't saved anyway. I think this is because especially after you accept the grant, there are 2 different 'save' buttons and you need to click the right one for the right session.
