(Updated in 2.3.0) "Enter" no longer works to launch search or on logon page
When I am searching requests in GLM, I used to type in the organization's name (or partial name), and hit "enter" to launch the search process. Recently when I do this (maybe just the last few weeks?), I get a little error noise ("ding!"). To launch the search I have to click "search" with the mouse.
Similarly, when I login on our main logon page, I enter in my username and password. I used to be able to then just hit "enter" to logon -- but again, now have to manually mouse-click the "logon" button.
I recognize this is a minor annoyance -- but these do slow down the work process. Was this a change that Foundant programmers intentionally made, or an unwanted side-effect of another update to GLM that you made? If that latter, would it be an easy "fix" to enable the use of the "enter" key again for these functions?
Thanks, Meredith & Nancy of the Genuardi Family Foundation

Hi Lynn and Mariah,
As you note, this did use to work. Currently, you can use the Tab key to cycle through the search boxes (Name, Tax ID, City, and State) to get the focus onto the "Search" button. Once the focus is there, you can use the Enter key.
However, I recognize this is a step backward. This was a side effect of other user interface updates we are making. That said, we will be revisiting this page to correct this issue, but at this point, we are still working on making our user interface more consistent, and in the process, learning a few things. I'd guess this should be fixed in the next few months.
Thanks for your feedback,

Lynn, I have experienced the same issue. I believe this began happening when the latest release went live. I use the organization search feature frequently so I find this to be quite cumbersome. I spoke to support about it last week, I am hoping a fix is in the works.

This was added years ago, but I am finding that hitting Enter no longer works. Specifically when I go to Organizations it would automatically put the cursor in the box and when I filled in the name and clicked enter it would search. However, I now have to manually put the cursor in the box to search the name and manually select the search button rather than just hitting the enter button on the keyboard. Has something changed?

Oh this is so funny. I was noticing it as well (I often work with headphones on and that "dong" was really ruining my groove) but then I thought maybe it had always been that way and I was thinking of another program or something. I'm so glad you mentioned it!

Not at all Meredith and thank you for pointing this out! It's a case of two steps forward, one step back. We did some work on the search page in an effort to improve it, but unwittingly broke the default focus on the "Search" button. We'll add that to our list. It should be pretty easy to address.
Thank you!
