  1. functional expense report financial view

    It would be much better if a functional expense report could be based on an income statement view. For example, for our audited statement of functional expenses, we condense the rows to approximately 12-14 categories. Currently we can't use the financial view to also get a functional expense report that breaks out the expense sub-accounts, by financial view account, into the different functions. Instead, we have to manually group the accounts into the proper categories. This manual process is very tedious and time consuming. Using the pivot table as suggested does not accomplish this either.

  2. Expand the Fund Beneficiary options from just percentages to both specific amounts and percentages.

    We have donors who have designated multiple fund beneficiaries and request that one beneficiary receive a dollar amount, and then the others receive percentages of what is then available each year. Or several beneficiaries are to receive specific amounts and a final one to receive 100% of the residual. The work-around to set up recurring grants and process them before the percentages kick in is an opportunity for mistakes and is not sustainable for these perpetual grants. Please create the option of having a blend of percentages and fixed amounts so that we can fulfill donor intent efficiently. THANKS.

  3. Transaction Audit Log

    Please make transaction logs available for every type of transaction (included deleted) that show user, date, transaction number and action taken. I had a deposit deleted and cannot find out who did it (it was a mistake I'm sure). Every accounting program I have worked with has some sort of running record that shows who did what and when. It's an excellent tool when building roles for access and for auditing.

  4. change fund

    Change fund on donation

    I wish there was a way to do a fund adjustment on a donation. There is an option to change donor, but not to change fund. There are occasions where we find this out after the period has closed and there's no great way to fix it.

    Would it be possible to see (with links to profiles) the more recent profiles opened? Like the most recent 10-20?

  6. Make Notes on Behalf of Someone Else

    Assistants should be able to make notes on behalf of their supervisors who have made the contact with a donor, without having to go through the additional step of editing the note and then changing the "Who" box. Allow that to be something that is set from the beginning, the same as the date or type of note is. Executive, donor services, program, and assistants of all other types throughout the user community who are regularly inputting notes for their supervisors will thank you!

  7. GL History Report - include check number for voids

    Currently, the report shows "void of check" in the description, but if it included the check number (or had a specific field for check number) that would be incredibly helpful. We currently need to run a void check report which lists all voids and cross reference, which isn't great.

  8. Detailed general ledger report

    It would be very helpful to have a detailed general ledger report of all the transactions for a particular fund or set of funds to review data. Most systems have a report that is often requested by auditors and fundholders to get a complete picture of all the detailed line items that have gone into their fund.

    This report would make it easier to review data.

  9. portal access when donor hasn't set password

    Hi! It would be helpful to have an easy way to see what a Portal account will look like without having to have the donor set their password already. It is strange to me that as an Admin, I do not have a way to access a donor's portal to answer questions about how it will work for them if they have not set up their own access yet. Admins should be able to log in to any portal account at any time, in my opinion.

  11. Display interfund grants differently on the Donor Portal home tab

    Right now, any interfund grants show up on the Donor Portal home tab as the name of the foundation, not the individual fund. It would be nice to have the individual fund names represented instead. It is a little misleading when someone views the top contributors and all the individual funds are lumped together under the main foundation's name. It would be nice to see individual fund's generosity recognized.

  13. fund advisor portal grant notification-advisor specific

    Please make Grant Notify specific to the advisor who made the recommendation. There are many funds with multiple advisors and only the person who recommended the grant should receive notification that it has arrived or is being paid. Telling all the relatives every time one makes a grant is intrusive.

  14. Creating a new profile

    I would be great if you could create a new profile in one step instead of clicking create. Add name, one address, one phone, etc. and then save. Then click edit to customize profile. It would be easier to just create a new profile in the customization view instead of the short view.

  15. fund statement student name

    Currently, we are using the {{vendor_name}} merge field for all grantees on our fund statement template, but this is pulling the student name for scholarships instead of their school name. It would be helpful if there was a different merge field we can use to pull school names for scholarships.

  16. Shift-Select Multiple Checkboxes #letshifthappen

    When filtering a custom report on a field with dozens or hundreds of entries (Ex: fund account listings) you currently need to check one... checkbox...at...a...time. This forced exercise in patience and eye-straining focus is simply unjust. We don't need the carpal tunnel injury lawyer sharks to start circling our Foundat dev team. Let's agree that the humane solution is to grant the user the civilized option to hold down shift while selecting between checkboxes, to auto check all the ones between them. Just 2 clicks needed for a range, not 200.

    The ability to search existing profiles when submitting a name in the box: "Whom to Notify". Currently, when we type a name here, it generates a new profile, even if the individual is already in our system.

  18. bulk delete duplicate invitees from a campaign

    With a list of 673 duplicate profiles in a campaign, I would love to be able to select, and bulk delete, the profiles from the Invitee list. It would also make it easier if a column with the profile number was included by the name.

  20. Filter by TOTAL Donations in Donor Report

    We would like to be able to filter the donation report by cumulative donations in a specified time frame. We send certain mailings to donors who have cumulatively donated $501+ per year (even if they've made multiple $100 donations to equal $501+) and right now the Donation Amount filter only filters those who have made a one time donation of $501+ or more. We also send certain mailings to donors who have made cumulative lifetime gifts of $10k+. There is no way to filter by this option to easily add to a Campaign.
