  1. Could we please have the ability to set up a fiscal sponsor relationship on a grant when it is synced from GLM to CSuite?

    We need to maintain the applicant/application in GLM under the org applying/completing the work (because not every fiscal sponsor applies on behalf of the sponsored org or wants their application history intermingled). Therefore, it would help immensely if we were able to keep the GLM profile as is, then have an option when building the grant to move the applicant to the "Sponsored Org" field, and add the Fiscal Sponsor as the true grantee.

  2. As foundations grow, it's common to end up with profile types that are no longer in use. Cleaning those up currently means archiving profile types one at a time, which gets tedious fast.

    The idea: add a bulk archive option at the profile type level, allowing admins to select profile types and archive in bulk.

    This would be a big time saver during database cleanup, data audits, or any time profile types are being consolidated.

  4. Some of our families with Donor Advised Funds want to involve their children in grantmaking but want to set a "budget" that limits the amount that their children can grant (EX: $5,000 annually).

    Can there be a way for us to set up logins for these adult children but limit the amount they can grant annually?

    This function would be a great selling point for families to open a DAF and encourage philanthropy to their kids in a controlled manner.

  5. Right now there is no statement that lists all open invoices on a customer profile. The Customer Balance Report lists all invoices, but does not clarify if the invoices were paid or not. A statement of open invoices with the customer name and our logo would be really helpful so we can send the statement to our customers. Right now we have to take the invoice information from their profile (or build a report) and manually format a statement in a word doc. If this was a built in feature in CSuite it would save us a lot of time.

  6. It would be really nice if we could search via the DBA field. We miss the ability to search via "aliases" in our old CRM. We run the risk of creating duplicate records and potentially missing important notes on existing records if we can't find them via their name.

  7. Currently we give fund beneficiaries access as a fund advisor to the fund where they are the beneficiary. There are some funds that have multiple beneficiaries on one fund so it gets confusing for the different nonprofits. We have fixed this by now when setting up designated funds we set up one fund per beneficiary. Looking through Compass discussions everyone seems to deal with this in different ways.

    We want to provide the nonprofit with the information readily available for them but we do not necessarily want them to have all the information on the fund. Being set up as…

  8. Inconvenience: When searching for an organization under the Profile Search, any Individual with that name listed in the organization field will also populate. This is a drawback for adding an individual's organization in this way.

    Suggestion: Add a checkbox filter to include/exclude Types of Profiles (individual, household, organization) on the Profile Search screen for a more targeted search that doesn't involve using Custom Reports.

    Expanded: A more advanced search filter could be useful for other scenarios. Deceased, (Relationship) Profile Types, Tax Class, etc.

  9. Bulk Reassign Tasks and Opportunities: t would be helpful to be able to Bulk Reassign Tasks and Opportunities when one employee leaves an organization. As of now, users must go into each task and opportunity to reassign them. There IS a Bulk Close and Bulk Complete option, but no Bulk Reassign.

  10. There's currently no clean way to bulk assign funds to fund advisors. The profile fund categories workaround exists, but it's primarily a FIMS migration tool, creating duplicative work for foundations that didn't migrate in this manner. A dedicated bulk setup option for fund advisors would be a meaningful time saver, especially for larger foundations onboarding many advisors at once.

  11. Setting up and managing fund advisors currently falls entirely on the admin side, which becomes a significant burden for foundations with many affiliates and funds. Allowing the primary advisor on an affiliate or fund to manage additional advisors directly in the portal (adding advisors, setting access levels, removing advisors) would distribute that responsibility appropriately and reduce admin overhead. Essentially, bringing the advisor management capabilities that exist on the admin side into the portal for primary advisors to use.

  12. On the Fund Balance page within an affiliate record, there's currently no way to see which fund group or fund subgroup a fund belongs to on that page. Adding an optional Fund Group or Subgroup column would help affiliates quickly categorize and distinguish their funds (fiscal sponsor, charitable remainder trust, agency, individual/family, etc.) without additional navigation.

When viewing the table displayed on the Gifts/Donations page on an affiliate record in the portal, there's currently no way to identify which fund a gift was directed to without running an export. Adding a Fund Name column directly to the gifts table would make this information immediately visible without the extra steps, which is a quick win for usability.

  14. Admins currently have no way to trigger a password reset email on behalf of a portal user. Adding the ability to resend the "Forgot Your Password" email from the admin side would reduce friction for onboarding and login support without requiring the user to initiate it themselves.

  15. Currently, when opportunities are created they must be associated with a profile. It would be valuable to also be able to create an opportunity tied directly to a fund record instead, with the ability to view that opportunity from within the fund record as well. This would better support fundraising workflows where the ask is fund-specific rather than donor-specific.

  16. The Set Statement Type area (Home > Fund Advisors > Set Statement Type) applies bulk changes immediately, without a confirmation step. Unlike other bulk edit functions in CSuite, selecting a statement type option (Online, Paper, or Email) takes effect the moment it's clicked -- with no prompt to confirm the action. This lack of verification increases the risk of unintended changes being made to statement types across multiple records.

  17. Due to large market swings of investment activity, the income statement can show confusing information. If a particular month has huge gains it could mask an issue where expenses exceed revenue. Moving realized and unrealized gains to a separate location on the income statement, the true performance of the foundation can be seen. We are attaching a sample income statement that we manually generate in excel. Besides segregating market gains and losses it would be wonderful to reflect the ending fund balance as well.
