  1. (Temporarily) Shut Down Donation Portal

    It would be great to have the ability to temporarily shut down the donation portal.

    We recently had an issue (our error--and of course Foundant helped us fix it!!) that caused fund balances to show incorrectly. We were worried, of course, about donors seeing bad information in the donor portal. While we could have taken the log in page off of our website, a fair amount of our donors have the site bookmarked, so still could have gotten in. We also thought about unlinking Fund Advisors on the affected funds, but we have over 800 funds, so that would have…

  2. Suggestion: Output field Organization should NOT grab Houselhold data

    When I create a report to list a group of profiles for a mailing, I include the Output field "Organization", But for "Household" profiles, the "organization field populates with the household name - which is not the same as the Label field, causing these profiles addresses to have TWO names: Label and Household. I think that "household" should NOT be pulled into the Organization output field. They should be sepaate fields for various kines of data/list outputs.

  3. Changing the name of the Description field for Grant Requests in the Fund Advisor Portal

    Description on a Grant Request is a vague word choice that doesn't provide clear direction to Fund Advisors. There have been many times where FA's have entered a description of the grantee in this field rather than their grant purpose. Please update this field to say something like Grant Purpose or allow us to edit the name of the field.

  4. Update the Submit button on the Grant Request manual entry

    When Fund Advisors are entering in a grantee manually rather than utilizing the search, "Submit" can be confusing. I have had multiple FA's reach out concerned that they weren't going to be able to input the Amount or Description before hitting Submit. Please use a different word here that lets Fund Advisors know there is more to be done.

  5. Split / multi-fund gifts

    It would be fantastic to be able to enter split or multi-fund gifts! Having to split into multiple transactions is cumbersome, more difficult to track, and generates multiple letters.

  6. Add grant advisor, grant letter template, service area and grant types to recurring grants

    Please allow for the entering of the grant advisor, grant letter template, service area and grant type fields when first entering a recurring grant so that letters will be generated without manually editing and so tracking of service areas and grants types will be accurate. (Currently these fields are not available so must be manually entered with each occurance.)

  7. opening balance

    Add "Opening Balance" to custom reports. We use this for quarterly reports and would like to run reports to show how much a fund was opened with, rather than having to go back and pull opening gifts manually.

  8. Dropdown menus

    Within the individual fund screens, it would be nice to have each section's dropdown item (assets, fund summary, etc) already collapsed and then as you want that item, you would expand it. This would be beneficial as you could see all options on the page upon opening especially since the Notes tab is at the bottom of the page

  9. I need to filter out sub funds in order to get an accurate fund count.

    This was my answer from Foundant. "Currently there isn’t a way to pull this information in a report from CSuite.

    The easiest way would be to export the Funds list by going to Funds then List and select Export CSV. Then in Excel the SubOf field will be in the export & you can filter that way to filter out the funds that are sub funds."

    PLEASE ADD THE ABILITY TO REMOVE SUB-FUNDS TO GET AN ACCURATE FUND COUNT.

    We have been asked by our auditors in the past to provide a report showing when all journal entries are created and approved.

  13. Add "who" when generating a new note

    Add the "who" field when generating a note. Have it auto fill with the person entering the note, but give option to change to another person if need be. Right now to change this information, you have to edit the note, click to edit and then change.

  14. Pledge NPV

    Since accounting standards require that non-current pledges be carried at the net present value rather than gross dollars, would be great if Foundant made that a standard feature for pledge receivable and pledge income/donations. As it is now, when booking pledges one has to do a manual NPV calculation in order to do the audit required adjustment.

  15. Profile Maintenance Shouldn't Remove Online Grant Request Backup on a Grant Record

    Our grants require backup from the Fund Advisor showing the intent of their request. There are multiple avenues in CSuite where this information can be compromised.

    If a Fund Advisor manually enters a grantee or creates a request from GuideStar results, a profile and grantee record are created. We are able to change the grantee, but a problem occurs during profile clean-up that removes the Online Grant Request box.

    e.g. Fund Advisor uses GuideStar results to grant to Virginia Historical Society. We recognize this instead as Virginia Museum of History and Culture, their updated name. Grantee was changed on grant…

  16. Grant Catalog Added Search Functionality

    Let's make the Donor Portal Grant Catalog search function even smarter and more useful for donors. Currently it searches the Grant Catalog Requests' org. name and website URL fields. That's pretty limited. Please add the short and long descriptions as fields that also might return a search result.

  17. adding historical grant information to organization

    We have a cumulative list of grants for our foundations that date back to 1979. It would be nice to be able to add that information to an organizations profile so all of our grant information is in one place.

  18. mailing address access

    In custom reports you can pull the primary advisor address and it will list all address. What I want is the mailing address to be identified since we will be doing a mail merge.

    Glossary of terminology with more detailed explanations than what's included in the question mark icon.

    Also provide equivalence meaning for such as Voucher - is it in invoice, a credit, a check?

    Grant Cycle, does this mean the start and end date of a grant? or how many cycles of grant making in a year?
