    Hi Everyone,

    I hope you are doing well! While this request has been out here for a whole we have read all of your comments are starting to dig into defining this functionality.

    As move of you know we have moved to an iterative approach to development. As we do this we want to make sure that the first piece of the functionality we deliver will be useful and will deliver value. This is where I could use your help.

    As look to develop this first round of tabling/grid questions or biggest questions are around reporting expectations. Once, data has been entered into the solution via grid how will you be using it? How does it need to come out of the solution.

    We will be actively engaging in this conversation over the next month(s). So please chime in and keep subscribed as I will continue to post the requirements…

    Hi Sammie, This is very exciting that you are looking to develop it. I would gladly support and engage in conversations over the next month.

    You will more than likely get a varied response from the ways different users would use tables, but from my perspective it would be for two main reasons:

    1. Efficient Applicant, Evaluator and Admin: If we had fillable grids, it would make questions simply easier to get answered. Right now we have applicants have to download additional Excel Templates, fill them out and then re-upload them (All not report-able or available for data pulling)

    Easily access the data visually on the application through a grid so that the applicant can fill it out easily, the evaluator can review it easily within the application and the administrator doesn't have to download, upload, open extra documents to check.

    (Right now it appears as either the option to have a download this Excel form and then upload it filled out OR ask about 10,000 additional questions to get the same answers that would be in a table)

    2. Ease of data reporting - if there were grids/tables, I would hope them to auto-sum/auto-calculate based on the organizations needs based on the column and row. Bonus would be if they can auto calculate a separate section for match ratio based on parameters such as what the ask is versus type of match funding provided (Cash, IN-kind, federal etc..)

    I'm sure I'll have more along the way, but I'm happy to sidebar or participate on any think-tank type groups if needed.

    Hi All,

    Thank you for this feedback. Curious to understand if there are other use case for DocuSign with GLM/SLM rather than Grant Agreements.

    I also assume that when we talk about this integration we would want to be able to generate the DocuSign document with in the system, and then let docusign control all of the emails/reminder, and the final piece would be that signed document is visible in this system.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    HI All,

    Thank you for the feedback thus far.

    I think we are leaning towards the idea of denotating specific fields to be reportable. Do you have examples of the fields you would most like report on?

    As for calculations which ones do you need? we know sum for sure, are there others?

    1) No you wouldn't need to report every cell within a budget (It would be nice, but not necessary). Certain fields would primarily be the sum totals (In-kind contributions, Cash Partners, Total Ask, Match calculations etc...)
    2) Yes, self calculate would assist in human error :)
    3) Yes, being able to share the budget from application to follow up form to reduce duplication efforts - or at the very least having it transfer for reference column in a new budget sheet for them to fill out an updated budget

    Hi Michele and Pele,

    Thank you both for your thoughts full feedback. We have heard this request before, and are looking at how we can make the follow accessibility and editing easier for applicants.

    Do you believe increasing font size would be enough? Or do you have other thoughts on how to make this stand out to your applicants?

    Hi Logan,

    Thank you for your feedback.

    I was able to have a discussion with the development team around how we think this could work.

    We imagine it available on all list type questions. When building your list question you you would see a check mark that says allow optional, must like you see allow N/A on scoring questions.
    When check other would be added to your list items and then if selected the applicant would see a box titled other.

    The place we are still curious about is reporting? Would you want to see the information in cell for examples Other; whatever text they entered or would text need to be its own field code?

    Hi All,
    Merged to similar ideas together so we can see the discussion in one spot.

    While we have heard this in the idea lab and in multiple user groups and you fly, we buys I believe we still have some outstanding questions before this hit the GLM roadmap.

    1) Is this on the request or organization level or both?
    2) would you want to limit the number of documents someone could upload, labeling specifically what needs to be uploaded? A concern that we have heard in the past is just an open upload area might be filtered with clutter, thoughts on that?
    3) Do they need due dates/expiration dates? How will you know they a still current?

    Thoughts are just a couple thoughts I have right off the bat. Thanks for helping to continue the conversation.
