can the organization add a new user
I'm wondering if when an organization hires a new employee- or new grant writer- if they (the current registered user) could create a new user that would also be in the organization. Is it already possible? Could it be possible? What are the security concerns and such?

This seems like an old thread, but it is a current problem. We have often have new duplicate accounts being created when a new staff person for an organization starts a grant application and creates a whole new account. We have to spend time trying to find and merge these accounts, and trying to train people that they have to contact us for help in applying. Even if just the primary contact with the organization would have the ability to add a new user, that would be helpful.

A thousand times YES!
Creating a new organization account isn't always necessary - creating a new user would be very helpful.
I could see where this would also help in regards to scholarships...I could create an organization each year for the scholarship round so I don't have each student as their own organization! Then each student could create their own user profile under that "organization". -

I think this is a fantastic idea. I would like to see this implemented.

I'm surprised there aren't more requests for this. Right now, grantees have to contact me to ask if they can add a user, and when I tell them I have to do it, they have to send the info, then I enter the user and send their password etc.
MOre work for everyone. Since they can add a user when they register, why not let them add one later?

This could be a partial solution to another problem: when applicant staff change, the new person is logging in with the old person's info and changing the contact info to themselves. If there were a prominent "add user" option, maybe they would decide to do that instead...?
