   We currently return as string, technically it could be possible to enhance this, but it not something as a priority for consideration.

2. Create template email from workflow task

   I would like to save an already formatted email from a workflow task as a new template to use elsewhere.

   You could copy the content from a workflow into a template and reuse it elsewhere currently.
