  1. Are we correct in understanding that the Global Search does NOT include Vendor IDs? Meaning that if I enter a Vendor ID in the Search field at the top of page, it does not search against the Vendor List. Is there a reason why this is the case?

    The Reference ID in a Notes report sometimes includes the vendor ID and we are unable to search for that ID either in the Global Search field or in the Vendor search field.

  2. I fail to see the value of prim date on an address. If an address is made primary on that date each year, at what point is it made not primary? We have multiple donors/fund holders who vacation or winter somewhere other than their main place of residence. It would be great if there were start and end dates for an address to be primary or when to use that date instead of the primary.

  4. Live-updating "widgets" on the CSuite home page that can show info about chosen funds, campaigns, or profiles. There is a lot of wasted open space on the home page, and it would save a lot of clicking if we could select certain pieces of information to be surfaced automatically like this when we open CSuite. I imagine a button on each profile/campaign/fund page like "add to home page" that would then add the corresponding widget. A fund widget could show the balance and the last two transactions, for example. A campaign widget could show tickets sold for an event.

  5. We would like the option to make modifications to the Donor Portal so during our Giving to Lincoln month, donors who are making grants to participating nonprofits from their donor advised fund can log in and select from the Grantees they've given to in the past, they can then select a check box that this is for Give to Lincoln Day. We could then add the NPOs that are participating in CSuite and this NPOs would pull over to the portal as participating NPOs for our giving day.

  6. I would like to be able to create a custom report or have a report option that showed me email history. This way, I can filter on status for those emails that were not delivered across areas within Foundant.

  7. It would be helpful to include the Fund Summary on the Home page of a Fund in the Fund Advisor Portal. This is especially important for advisors who may only log in quarterly or annually to make grant requests. While you're at it, show the fund's Image with the summary.

  9. As of January 1, 2023, CRA will be allowing non-profit organizations to apply for grants that are normally only for charities. This would be a change to both CommunitySuite and GLM as the AJAH check only checks for charity numbers and we will need to also be able to use Society numbers. Can this be modified to check either?

  10. Bank and Investment Balance (excludes pledges receivable)
    Less Grants Payable (dollars already committed & likely held in checking)
    Less Spendable Fund Balance (remaining dollars to be spent)

    I tried to set this up using the "By Account" setting with the Endowment and Default Fund Balance accounts. Belatedly I discovered that the "Default" retained earnings were only included in the 4th quarter of each FY. This is explained in the online documentation Distributions/Set Up Types in the light blue section. Was it there when I set up Distribution Types 2 years ago? Maybe.

    We could use the "Total Net Assets" setting…

  13. Currently to change your Chart Info selection from one field to another, you must unselect the current field and then select your new field. Otherwise it will show Null for your labels or nothing in the chart values. Ideally you would be able to select your new field and it would automatically unselect the other field from that Chart Info type (Description/X-Axis or Data Value) since only one can be selected for the current chart types.

  15. Grant Types on the 990 report (from the "Grantees (Orgs)" option) populate based on what the grant type is in the fund record. When multiple funds provide the award, the field does not populate because it can't select from multiple fund records. Because this report is a cumulative report, and for 990 reporting purposes, it would make more sense for the grant type to populate from the grantee record. That way the field would always populate because it's based on one record, and it would always be applicable because the grant was serving the org's mission.

  19. I know Foundant has been focused on enhancing the donor portal experience for users. Is there any timeline by which you think there could be potential to redirect the logout button on the portal to the page of the organization’s choice? I’m thinking about this new private label portal that we’ve designed for one of our agencies. They really want to have the logout button direct to their logo homepage, and not the our logo page. Any sense for when you think that update could be feasibly scheduled?

  20. Please add a sort field to Nonprofit Categories. Currently when adding or editing a category on a nonprofit profile they display in ID number order, which means the order in which they were created. With a long list this makes it very difficult to find and select the correct categories. We would like the option to alphabetize or a sort field so we can enter the number order like in other areas of CSuite. Thanks!
