  1. Remove capital letters for "In Honor of" and "In Memory of"

    When using Donation Letter templates or when downloading CSV files for Word Mailmerge, the first letters of the words in the tributes are capitalized. For example "In Honor of .." or "In Memory of..." These will always be used in a sentence such as "Your donation was In Honor of John Smith." It looks strange to have the capital "I" and "H" or "M" in the middle of the sentence. These should be lower case.

  2. Bulk Upload Files to Fund Advisor Portal

    It would be very helpful to be able to bulk upload files to the fund advisor portal so that the documents are available either to all users of the portal or all users with grant recommendation privileges, etc. For example, to make our quarterly investment performance report available to all users or to make guidance for donor advised grantmaking available to all users with advisory privileges.

  3. It would be nice if we had the ability to set grant numbers like they were in FIMS.

    Our old system numbered grants 2017001, 2017002, etc and then at the beginning of each year we would reset so it started with 2018001. It made it easy to tell which year a grant was made in.

  4. Add a "Make Spendable" box when adding a sponsorship or other non-gift to a fund.

    When we add an amount to a fund as a "Sponsorship or Non-Gift" it needs to be added the funds spendable account. Currently, to do this we add an Invoice for the amount given then Create a Payment to apply to that invoice. Then to increase their Spendable we go into the Fund page of the fund receiving the amount and do a "Manual Adjust". Can there be a "Make Spendable" box added somewhere in the payment area to avoid the extra steps?

  5. grants payable report

    It would be nice if when we created historic accts and grants payable reports that could be exported. We had to retype the information for our auditors to schedule out when grants expire. Also it would be awesome to have a field in grants that tells when they expire.

  6. Grant Module Upgrade ideas :)

    We post anywhere from 15-35 grants at a time.
    It would be beneficial if we could :
    -Enter the memo line at the time of entry for the grant, rather than before checks are created
    - Could reorganize the checks to print out as entered vs alphabetical order
    -If the person entering the grant, is the one who approves- auto approve the grant
    -Run guidestar check/post at the same time!

  7. Bypassing the word "The" in searches

    Is it possible to simplify the search function even further to remove "The" from the search term? It would be much easier for us to find records if we could search a partial name. We have quite a few funds that begin with "The" and an equal number that begin with the family name. Searching and running reports on these records can be tricky and tedious.

  8. Add an indication of who has approved a grant on the grant approval screen

    We have multiple grant approvers required in the process to do a grant, and these are layered according to job responsibilities. When I go to the Grant section to approve grants there is no indication as to which approvers have already approved grants, and therefore I have to open each one to determine if my approval is required. A column on this screen would allow me to identify which grants are ready for my approval.

  9. fund advisor

    In the Fund Advisor area, add a Filter Reports. Filters needed would be the fund checkboxes (DAF, Agency, Affiliate, Endowed) and the fund coding - Division, group and subgroup. For the profile, it should also allow filtering by profile type.

    Export would be the fund and profile info.

    Export should also have the option of whether to limit an advisor to showing once (with the first fund) or showing multiple times (one line for every fund they are linked to).

  12. Identify in grant notification and in the portal which donor advisor requested a grant

    We have a donor advised fund with 7 advisors. This is a fund set up by a family with young adult children to teach them about philanthropy. We are having a couple issues:

    o We would like to be able to view who requested the grant in the reporting. Could the name of the requester be part of the grant payment notification that automatically goes out to the advisors?

    o When logging in as an advisor and looking at the grant activity, there is nothing that shows who requested the grant. Can this be added?

  13. A way to mark that tributes have been sent.

    It would be great if there was a way to mark when a tribute acknowledgment letter has been sent out. For example, when you are looking at a list of donations made in someone's memory/honor, add an additional column which a box for each tribute that you could click and a day/month/year box pop up. You could simply select the date when the tribute letter was mailed.

  14. Grant Catalog request form

    The info in the Grant Request form asks questions that are in the
    nonprofit's profile (such as URL and contact name and email and phone number). It would be great if the Grant Catalog Request form could pull this info from the profile rather than having to type it all in.

    New report that would have the whole year budget, monthly and YTD for closed months, budget to actual dollar variance, and budget to actual percentage variance.

    This would be for the Admin/Operating Fund only.

  16. Till method for Stripe

    It would be great to turn on the till method for stripe. That way we could aggregate transactions for the day to match the amount that ultimately is put in our checking account.

  17. how accounts appear during data entry

    It would be nice if accounts appeared as 60000 Salaries Expense instead of showing the category such as 60000 Payroll Expense: Salaries Expense. So basically just take the category out of the view.

    It would be AMAZING to be able to set a default account for vouchers, etc. All vouchers are paid out of our checking account and always will be :)

  20. Adding totals to the bank reconciliation

    We have quite a few internal controls at our Foundation. One of them involves the matching of debit and credit numbers between the bank reconciliation and the bank statement. Because we are a one person finance department, Someone checks some of the work I do such as reconciliation of bank and investment accounts. The bank reconciliation has no totals on anything to reconcile back to the bank statement. We are used to having deposit/credit amounts, checks/debit amounts, interest, and fees summarized at the very least.
