  1. The grant request notifications we currently receive when clients request a grant, contain the name of the fund advisor who submitted the grant request, the grantee name, and the grant amount. We would prefer that the grant request notifications include more information similar to that of the grant request emails that fund advisors receive. The information we would like to see included would be fund name, grantee EIN, grantee address, and grant description.

  2. We would like for the option to assign a Fiscal Sponsor on the Grantee Designation of a grantee's profile so that it automatically populates on a grant record when it is created for that grantee, similar to how the Grant Type field on the Grantee Designation automatically populates on a grant record. This would save users time and avoid forgetting to add the sponsored org to each grant before payment is processed.

  3. Request: Allow Grant Award Letter templates to pull from a "for each grant" structure grouped by grantee, similar to how the payment/check letter can already combine multiple vouchers. This would let us send a single award letter per grantee covering all their grants, rather than one letter per grant.
Use case: Endowment distributions where a single entity receives grants from multiple funds in the same cycle.

  4. Can a process be created where we can upload in bulk internal grants? Each year there are many funds in Community Suite that transfer funds to our Grant Making fund. It would be quicker and easier if this were able to be completed with a CSV upload instead of having to do all the steps of an internal grant multiple times.

  5. Allow users to re‑run a charity check directly from the grant record. Currently, users must navigate back to the organization record to perform this action.

Adding this option at the grant level would reduce extra steps, save time, and streamline workflows, especially when managing multi-year grant payments. It would also help ensure ongoing compliance by making it easier to verify charity status before processing grant payments.

  6. When sending grant award letters via Email - please create a function to auto-populate the non-primary emails into the cc fields. This would save so much time and not require staff to remember and manually add ccs each time. Alert notes don't even show up in the Email Grant Documents area so there's not an easy way to be reminded of who needs to be cced. There should be an option to automatically include more than just the primary email. Please also add any cc emails sent to the log of the grant and profile. Currently only the primary email…

  7. Enable entry of Grant Type on Refund Grants to ensure accurate grant reporting. This will allow grants to be correctly grouped by Grant Type in reporting. Currently, capturing this information requires manual adjustments in Excel after exporting the report.

  8. It would be nice if we could bulk clear grants that are on hold. For example we do approximately 250 spendable grants and place them on hold at the time so that they do not accidently get mailed out ahead of schedule. When time to cut the check, it would be nice if we could take all of them off hold at the same time. THX

  9. It would be nice to have a report that shows when a recurring grant expires - showing on a report to easily know what donors to contact.

  10. Please remove the requirement for a description when creating a grant in Community Suite. I'd say only a third of my grants have a description. Now I have to do a workaround to include a description in order to create the grant, but edit and remove it so that my grant check template works.

  11. The notes that are automatically saved to grantee profiles when a grant award letter is sent do not include emails that were cc'd, nor is the attachment included. There is a link where a file could be attached, but it gives me an error and I don't want to have to manually attach grant award letters to each note on a grantee profile anyway.

When emailing grant award letters from CSuite, we have added a note in the Other Detail field on grantee emails that they are for grant notifications, but this detail isn't available as a field to pull…

  12. It would be helpful if the sandbox feature that prevented anyone but the creator of a grant from approving the grant was turned off.

I struggle to understand why would preventing other people from posting my grants help in training?
If the intent is for a user to be able to approve their own grant, CSuite offers a togglable setting that provides for this. Hard coding sandbox to prevent any user other than the creator of the grant from approving the grant is an un-necessary restriction.

In reality it, prevents users from testing their internal control environments. It also requires…

  13. Currently, if you click "Delete" on a recurring grant, there is no page to say "Are you sure you want to delete this item?". Once deleted, there is no way to find the recurring grant record to add a note.

We have an internal policy to NOT delete recurring grant records for this reason, and instead max out the occurrence so the record moves to closed/inactive, but we maintain the records.

I have accidentally hit "Delete" when I am intended to click "Edit", luckily only for recurring grant records where I am trying to close out the request, but one…

  14. VOTE FOR GRANT LETTERS!!! 1 - Allow for the grant type AND grant letter template to be two custom fields on the import template. 2 - Allow the signed letters that are uploaded and saved to C-suite, to be emailed from C-suite.

  15. Enable the 'CC' field in Grant Document emails to automatically populate using the email address labeled 'CC' in the profile. This is currently done manually but automating it would save staff time. Referring to Grant Documents> Process Documents> Choose Batch> Email Documents.

  16. When fund advisors use the guide star search, when staff process the grants in the new bucket all they can see in the new grantee field is the name and that it was from guidestar search. Often times, even though the guidestar search was used, we actually already have the grantee in our system. Our grants manager has to make the new grantee, compare it to the one in our system, and if it already exists then delete the new profile, and change the grantee in the grant. It is a lot of steps to take. When we see the…

  18. We recently used the grant catalog for the first time to handle our Week of Giving Campaign. When I went into the grant after the week to put the donation report for each nonprofit and exported it as a CSV it does not include the "net of fee" amount or even just the stripe fee amount so that I can manually calculate the net amount. Can this field be added into the donation report.

  19. We need a way to reserve incoming grants from the request bucket to an individual staff member, because we have two people who work on processing DAF grants, due to large volume. Ideally, we would “reserve” multiple grants at once, and no one else would be able to edit these grants, even while they are in the “new” bucket. Once they move into the “approval” bucket, we would “unreserve” them so that they can be batch vouchered together. This would avoid duplication of profiles and grants themselves. Since more than one staff member is working on grants at once, sometimes…

  20. Add the ability to set the Grant Documents Template and mark Omit Grant Documents to multiple grants via the Bulk Action tool.

Currently, you can set the Grant Award Letter Template and set Award Letter Needed (or not) but cannot do the same for the Grant Documents.

Side note - it would be beneficial to have the language for Grant Documents be consistent throughout the system. When in a grant, it's Grant Documents Template, but when in the Templates section, it's "grant_letter".
