  1. It would be very helpful to have the option to post internal grants to receiving fund spendable during grant entry. As it is now, we have to post the internal grant, then click on the Donation ID, then click on Apply to Spendable [change].

  2. I would love to be able to set a default "no grant document" by fund or fund type and then have a choice at grant letter to turn off the letter like we can for award letter. It is tedious to find and delete attached grant letters to grants that do not require letters. In our case, we do not send letters with grants that come in from GLM. I understand I can turn it off by check batch, but that means I need to sort out which grants are which at the time of the check run each time…

  3. Current Challenge: The grant reporting system currently lists each fund disbursement as a separate grant, even when multiple funds contribute to a single board-approved grant. This results in:

Overstatement of grant count: A single grant appears as multiple entries.
Underreporting of average grant size: The total amount is split across entries, skewing metrics.
Reduced clarity for stakeholders: For example, a $25,000 grant funded by five sources appears as five $5,000 grants, misrepresenting board decisions and complicating analysis.
Proposed Solution: Implement a reporting enhancement that consolidates multi-fund contributions into a single grant entry. Key features could include:

    A unified grant ID…

  4. Bulk Payment date edit + ability to see payment date within NEW bucket

I would like to have a way to bulk change payment date similar to grant date, and/or see the payment date within the new screen so we can tell when a date was missing adjusting. The payment date is as important and drives a lot of the same functions that the grant date does.

  5. Want to be able to pull up a fund or multiple funds grantee history, and have it show the years along the top, with grantees along the side and each grant made to that grantee under its year made without doing a pivot table from the data. See attached example.

  6. There is a new feature in the sandbox that allows users to manage the Create Grant Documents flag at the individual grant level. However, grant requests pulled in from the fund portal (and maybe GLM) and existing requests in process have to be individually marked Yes for a grant letter. We would like to turn off this feature or set the default to Yes.

  7. The current options for recurring grants are monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual. Could a weekly option could be added in the future? A donor would like to send a grant to his church on a weekly basis.

  8. Request: Add the ability to customize the subject line of the Grant Post Notify Email.

Fund holders rely on clear, actionable communication when a grant is posted to their fund. The subject line is the first point of contact and should immediately convey the purpose and origin of the email. The current default is too generic and can come across as unclear or even suspicious. Allowing for subject line customization would help ensure that recipients recognize the email’s intent and engage with it appropriately.

  9. We love the bulk update functions in custom reports for grants. It would be incredibly helpful to have the option to bulk upload IDs and then gain access to the bulk options for grants.

For example, we are tracking grants for Hurricane Helene, which requires pulling reports and sorting in excel. It would be worlds more efficient if we could bulk upload grant IDs to mark the custom fields on these grants at once (vs. going one at a time, incredibly time consuming during a challenging time in our state).

  10. Automatically Populate Grantee Contact on Internal Grants:

It would be great if the grantee contact field would automatically populate with the primary fund advisor on the recipient fund for internal grants and/or we could have a drop down menu with fund advisors to pick from, as opposed to having to manually enter the grantee contact via profile ID each time.

This already happens for external grants-- so it would great to have the same functionality for internal grants.

    Thanks! -TCF

  11. Pending Grants in the "New" bucket entered by an internal user are visible on the fund advisor portal. These amounts are still in draft form and have not been posted or approved. It would prevent issues if there was a separate tab for grants entered by internal users or when entering a grant to list the external users who will be able to see it or even a "publish to the portal" option for unposted grants.

  12. In CSuite: Allow Foundation staff to HIDE organizations from donors in the portal. (Eg: The Ohio State University – Scholarships)
    * Allows Scholarship orgs to be ACTIVE, and allows them to be paid directly from CSuite without going into SLM
    * Reduces the possibility that a donor will send a check to the Bursar.
*Offers Foundation's the option to manage unsuitable nonprofit organizations, while investigating concerns.
*Marking the grantee INACTIVE is NOT manageable in our workflow.

  13. Within a grantee record have the ability to customize the fields being populated. Currently they are: ID, Grant Date, Fund, Status, Amount, Sponsored Org, Beneficiary, Description.
We use grant programs and it would be helpful to identify at a glance what grant program the grant came from. See example below, we rarely use Sponsored Org or Beneficiary. It would excellent to have the ability to customize these columns.

  14. When grants are being processed, it would be nice to either show on the screen their most recent grants, or even have a pop up for grants that are very similar. (same date, same grantee, same amount, etc)

  15. Over the years, many requests have been made to enable the ability to link an internal grant to a campaign or an opportunity (see list of requests below), but Foundant @skyeweber has always archived the idea due to lack of activity. For community foundations, much of our work is with fund advisors who hold funds with us, so it is important for us to be able to link our efforts to fundraise for programs through internal grants, and to link those to campaigns or opportunities. It’s possible to link a donation to campaigns and opportunities, so it seems logical that…

  16. As the CFO, I work on fund clean-up and other grants movement all the time. It would be helpful if grants went to the Approval bucket in Vouchers so my CEO could approve all of the week's payments at once and I wouldn't have to ask her to approve grants constantly. OR so I don't have to constantly change the Settings in Grants back and forth. Maybe this is a toggle within the grant creation? Thanks for considering this idea!

  17. The grant request status labels in the fund portal are inconsistent. A grant in the Approval bucket will be approval when viewed in Fund Summary and Grant History, but Pending in Grant Request. A grant in the New bucket will be new when viewed in Fund Summary and Grant History but Pending in Grant Request. Would be clearer for the user if these were the same terms.

  18. GLM Bucket Categorization throughout CSuite: Essentially, when you sync a grantee from GLM to CSuite, the GLM Process (aka the grant process/opportunity) is also synced over to CSuite. Once you post that grantee's opportunity to CSuite and create a grant, the GLM Process/Opportunity disappears from CSuite and from the entire grantee, so it hard to know what Grant process the grantee won by everyone on the team. I was hoping, not only will the fund be present on the grantee's page, but also what GLM process the grantee won in GLM. This allows everyone on the team to know without…

  19. Grant Catalogs have request submission pages. The boxes for short and long descriptions need character limits. At this time, there is a stated character limit of 250 characters on the short description, and none on the long. We use 60 for the short, and 255 characters for the long, and have to edit down every request to fit these numbers. Either let us set the limits, or please set the limits for us.
