  1. We should be able to send grant letters in bulk, not just by check batch. Similar to how you can check the box for the tax receipts you would like to send all at once.

  2. We would like to create a custom letter that exports all the grant data for an organization in a fiscal year - similar to a donation report for funds.

We are looking at ways to reduce the administrative burden on our grantee partners and one of the things we are looking at is reporting.

Currently in GLM we require our grant recipient organizations to complete a report for every single grant they receive. As some organizations receive over 10 general purposes grants a fiscal year, they have to complete 10 individual reports. To try and relieve this burden, we would…

  3. It would be very helpful if we we could customize the order in which checks and check letters were sorted. We would like to be able to sort by the Grant Letter template. We have eight difficult templates that involve multiple constituencies and a number of letters. If they were grouped, we could process each type all at once which would reduce the opportunity for errors when processing the mailing.

  4. We have many donor advised funds with multiple advisors. There are often times when they want two or more advisors listed on the same grant. Is there a way to add this option? Otherwise we need to contact the grantee and let them know all of the advisors involved in a grant.

  5. It would be useful to have more interval options than are available for recurring grants. In particular, we would like to have an 'every other year' option.

An archived idea once suggested a 'twice a month' interval, so other foundations do occasionally wish to set up recurring grants outside of standard intervals.

  6. Could you please modify the grant description field so that it automatically wraps text when adding or editing descriptions?

Currently, the field allows up to 255 characters, but it's challenging to verify entries because we can't view the entire description at once. It would greatly improve usability if the description text wrapped within the field during data entry, allowing us to see the complete description without having to scroll. Once the grant is saved, we can read the entire description in one field but still have to scroll when editing.

  8. I think grants in the various buckets used to be sorted by grantID by default, but now I can't tell how they're sorted. I know I can choose any column to sort by, but can it go back to default sorting by grantID like before? Thanks for considering.

  9. It would be helpful to have a checkbox on grants to control whether the grant affects the spendable balance or not. Of course, the default behavior should be for the grant to decrease the spendable balance of the fund. Occasionally, we have grants that should not affect the spendable balance of the fund, and currently, we need to perform a manual adjustment for these grants. It would be useful to introduce a new checkbox in the grant creation process, labeled something like "Does not affect spendable balance". This checkbox should be unchecked by default, allowing the grant to impact the…

  11. When posting a grant, the system should check the balance of the fund no matter what the grant date or posting date is. Currently the system only checks the fund balance and gives a warning message if the grant date and date it's being posted are the same. If the grant date is in the future (as all of ours are), the system will allow you to post grants over the balance in the fund. As we are not posting grants on the same day as the grant date, it would be ideal if the system would give a warning…

  12. CSuite is not logging anything that happens on the “Edit Pay Schedule” page (….\grant\schedule?grant_id=xxxx) for a Grant record.

Is there any way that you can capture changes to the payment lines on a grant that are made on the "Edit Payment Schedule" page and record them in the log file for the grant?

Not sure how reasonable this request is, but right because changes are not captured, the log does not always line up with what is on the grant record for payment details.

  13. Hello - it would be wonderful if a copied grant would automatically change the Grant Date and the Payment Date to the new date. Otherwise the copy function is really only partially helpful. Thank you!

  14. We realize there was an Idea Lab suggestion to have an Optional Grant Letter. It’s been marked as implemented, with the suggestion to separate check batches. That’s a bit unwieldy, so we’d like to propose a better idea.

We’d like the ability to have default settings for grant letter production, based on the fund. The idea would be that at the fund level, we could specify its grant letter default, either a grant letter or no grant letter. That new field added to funds should be included in bulk edit for funds, so that we can easily establish them. Once…

  15. Ability to add a grantee as a beneficiary to a fund more for more than once would be helpful. We have several funds in which the same grantee is designated for two very different purposes and different percentages. The current text field isn't large enough to account for multiple purposes, and having two separate line items would create the individual spendable grants when creating them in bulk, which would be extremely helpful.

  16. When importing a batch of grants, you should be able to specify an expense account at the time of import. Currently you can't, so if you import a huge batch of grants that needs a specific expense account, you have to go through and individually edit each grant to the correct expense account anyway, which defeats the purpose of being able to batch import grants.

  17. Currently the grant notification to grantees includes one default email and the option to manually add a second email notice. Is it possible to allow us to have a second default email load rather than adding manually. We have a number of grantees who have two people they want to receive a notice and it is not conducive to have to always remember to add the second person.

  18. In the grant approval in Csuite, there should be a way to skip a grant and have the system keep moving through the remainder of the list. Right now, if I need more information before approving, I have to either reject a grant (which I don't want to do) or go to manually selecting the next grant to review. The "go to the next grant" functionality will always bring me back to the grant that I wanted to skip. Also, it would be nice if the grants that I did approve displayed with the grant number as highlighted/in-focus, so that…

  19. For existing recurring grants, we would like to be able to edit it to include grant type and grant advisor. Right now it seems like you have to delete the incorrectly entered recurring grant and start from scratch.

  20. It would be extremely helpful to our workflow to have the Grant Administrator included as a column. If blank, this lets the team know the grant needs further work before it can be paid. Without this column there is no way to tell if an administrator has reviewed the grant.
