  1. tabbing through fields

    Recently, I've noticed a change when entering gifts/grants, and I'm not sure whether it's an anomaly or a change that was made. When I tab through fields in a gift or grant entry, the tab used to only go through fillable fields. Now, the tab stops on the question marks by the field name. This almost doubles the number of clicks/tabs I need to make each entry. Any way to set this back to the way it was? Thanks!

  2. Freeze Profile and/or Fund Name at the top of the page

    when working in a fund or profile record it would be really helpful if the name was pinned at the top of the screen so that as you scroll down it is easy to see which record you are working in.

  3. it makes absolutely no sense that we have to relog in and enter our emails and passwords a second time to reach idea lab.

    If you are already logged into CS you should not have to log into Idea Lab...it should be accessible through CS

  4. Sync attachments in csuite and glm

    It would be nice to have a feature to sync attachments in GLM &/or CSuite over to the other rather than having to attach in both places. Ideally, we would be able to pick which attachments we want to sync over. For Community Grants, we start our process in GLM so we start attachments here and then sync to CSuite for final processing. For Donor Advised/Designated Granting we start in CSuite and include attachments here then sync over to GLM for tracking purposes.

  5. More informative titles for browser tabs

    Like many folks who work on computers, I have several tabs open at once; Community Suite is a program where a multi-tab working style is well-suited. However, the title tag (what's displayed at the top of the tab window) for CS isn't very useful. All the title tags begin with "/erp/", so with a certain density of tabs, they all look identical. This is a missed opportunity to make things easier for CS users.

    I'd propose a page titling system which at minimum could refer to the CS area being displayed (e.i. Profiles, Donations, etc). It would be great to…

    on the donor portal can the "gift comment/gift notes? field please pull into the portal so fundholders can see it and can the tribute field FULLY be pulled into the portal rather than JUST the name?

  7. Connect with Eventbrite or OneCause for Event Management

    It would be nice to have a connection with OneCause or even EventBrite for events. Similar to the connection with MailChimp, CSuite clearly lacks in the event management space and there are much better options out there that have open APIs. Maybe consider devoting resources to syncing with these services, instead of building a basic in-house solution.

  9. Idea Lab Search - Narrow results to NOT Implemented

    Before entering something in the Idea Lab, I try to confirm if the topic has been entered. This search would be more efficient if the results only included ideas that have NOT been implemented. Is there a way to do that and I'm not seeing it?

  12. Create New Fund Online and Edit Existing Fund Online

    As a foundation, I would like for community members visiting my website to be able to select "Start a Fund" from my website and enter details/intentions about that fund.

    Additionally, when fund advisors are logged in to their existing fund through the portal, I would like them to be able to request changes to the fund: Ex.: investment strategy.

  15. Add Additional Filters for Grant and Voucher Approvers for Edit Bulk for Multiple Funds

    I've seen various request to add Fund Groups and Subgroups to edit bulk grant approvers and voucher approvers. Please include additional filters to include Fund Divisions, Fund Segments, add a filter to exclude or include. This would help, to make a change due to adding a new employee. Each new employee will just have certain funds to work with, so adding them all is not a great internal control.

    Example: We combine multiple COE funds to create a consolidated financial statement. However, we do not want to add a grant or voucher approvers on them.

  16. Field Testing Ideas Before Launching Them

    Is it possible to have webinars or sandbox tests before an idea is actually launched so that we can understand how the changes will affect our work, as well as any look to our portals? I understand people can vote and take a poll in newsletters, but this doesn't really get live feedback from people. I believe it would be great to 'hear' why someone requested the change and how it could be used to help us. That information could be better obtained ahead of time so the work Foundant teams do is worthwhile and includes as much feedback as…

  17. Bulk Update

    Any time there is the option to download a file (ex. profiles, opportunities) the best practice is for that file to be able to be uploaded exactly as it is. This is pretty industry standard, so that there is no room for error.

    Basically the procedure that we see with profiles. I'm trying to update the new beneficiary on opportunities. However, what I download can not be updated for that field and then uploaded. This not only is time consuming to reorganize the data, but it increases the chance of error

  18. allow for mulitple topic categories when posting on idea lab

    Many suggestions cross topics such as campaigns, donations and reporting. it would be great to chose multiple topics for a single suggestion so they can found when looking at all the individual topics it may apply to

  19. Auto-populate date/description

    In date fields, either auto-populate with the current date, or make it default to the last date entered. It would save a lot of time in voucher and journal entry to have an easy date entry. The auto-populating of description on individual lines in the same entry to whatever was entered on the first line's description field would also be a huge time saver. They should still be editable in case they are not all the same, but they often are. Most accounting software has this kind of functionality.

  20. SLM Sandbox

    If we're supposed to do our big editing and testing in the sandbox, wouldn't it be great to be able to reset the universe or process in the sandbox and easily continue editing the things that came up after we've done some tests?
