Closed Funds should appear in Red in Relationships tab
When a fund is closed, it would be nice if the fund name would appear in Red on the relationships tab so a quick look can indicate that the fund is closed, rather than having to click the fund to find out it is closed.

Fund Beneficiary Fields
The information that can be added to a fund beneficiary is minimal, primarily just the description & account. It would be much more efficient to have the ability to set the grant advisor, grant letter template, grant type, service area, any custom fields, the award letter template, using start and end dates. This way, for beneficiary grants, we wouldn’t have to manually enter that information whenever the grants are issued. It currently requires additional manual work to set these up each time a grant is issued.
If this can’t be added to the fund beneficiary, then the ability to bulk-set…

Remove Automatic Capitalization on Fund Names
The system is automatically capitalizing every word in a fund name at the top of the fund screen even though it is not entered that way. I thought i had typed the name of a new fund incorrectly when I saw it at the top only to discover that I had entered it correctly and the system is doing the capitalization at the top. The top heading should match exactly the fund name as entered. (See screen shot).

Add ability to BULK EDIT to ADD Beneficiary to funds
Please add the ability to bulk edit to add beneficiary to a group of funds. I had to manually add beneficiary of a fund to 353 funds!

Searchable Fund Public Name
Make the fund public names searchable. This is used when searching a profile name a/o the legal name. Why can we only search for the fund name, but not the public name of a fund?

Bulk Edit Closed Funds
We are working through some clean up projects tied to how we coded groups, subgroups, divisions, and segments. The bulk edit feature works great, but it only impacts opened funds. During a recent audit, we identified 100 closed that needed to be moved from one group to another. The information was crucial for analysis purposes - so we had to reopen 100 funds (one by one), bulk edit the 100 funds, then closed them again (one by one). You cannot open funds in bulk, and you cannot close them in bulk. For new clients not fully aware of how CSuite…

Sorting - Csuite vs. Excel
Csuite does not sort names like Excel does. We run into this issue often.
For example, the fund name "M. Scott Myers Award Fund":
- in Csuite, this is alphabetized as MS...after funds beginning with "Mr. and Mrs..." etc.
- in Excel, this appears at the top of the list of M'sAnother example is the fund name "#FRONTLINEPROUD TM Fund"
Csuite - this is sorted as "frontline..."
Excel - this is at the top of the list because it begins with #So much of what we do is exported to excel . If you're looking at an excel…

AUG UPDATE - Funds Shortname
We use shortname a lot on funds. Could it be added to the box at the top of the new fund screen layout? Instead of just on the detail tab.

Fund group list count
It would be great if you look at any group data, whether it be a fund group, list of specific donations or anything of that nature that the bottom of the screen can give you a count of how many are in that listing. The idea of having a count for the number of funds in a certain group was archived, but I don't see why this would be an issue. It would really be helpful.

Current FY Spendable Amount
We would like to have a separate bucket for current fiscal year spendable on funds in addition to having the current spendable bucket.
Example: 2021 calculated spendable was $1000. $900 was used and there is $100 left that the fund owner wants to be ‘rollover’.
2022 calculated spendable was $1000. $900 was used and there is $100 left that the fund owner wants to be ‘rollover’ plus the $100 from 2021.
2023 calculated spendable is $1100. There is a total of $1300 available.
We would like to see current year calculated spendable of $1100 AND total spendable of $1300.3 votes -
fund list
Please add "CLOSED" to the funds that are closed in the LIST ALL and LIST DAFs and LIST AGENCY. When you are scrolling through the listing the Title Bar disappears so you have no idea what the Yes and No even stand for.

Search by Fund Number
It would be great if we could use the FUND ID to search for a fund, similar to how we can search by short name.

annette@icfoundation.us
Foundant should add all donations net of fees to the principal balance vs. the gross donation since the fees are never deposited into the fund. Adding the gross amount overstates the principal amount.

Change Fund Group at a Point in Time
For audit purposes, it would be helpful to be able to change a fund group type at a point in time instead of changing all of history. We have memorial funds that come in as "Unrestricted" but turn into restricted scholarship funds (or others). When we change the fund group it changes the data for all of time which makes our ending balances for PY not match beginning balances in terms of audit categories.
Right now we are closing the memorial funds completely and opening a new scholarship fund but this has us lose the donor/donation history for the fund.

Master Fund- Attachments & linking notes
Master funds are a subfund of multiple funds (for us 2 a designated and agency portion). It would be very beneficial if any of the attachments or notes that get put on the designated or agency portion get attached to the masterfund automatically OR vice versa where if we attach something on the master fund it goes to the subfunds. If we could have the ability to link a fund like you can for notes but be able to link 1 or multiple funds to one attachment that would be perfect.
Which also- having the ability to link notes to…

interfund grant
In the same manner as this original idea (that has been archived) and the comments, we are looking for a way to send an acknowledgement letter in bulk when we receive interfund grants. (Or even if they ended up in the donation tab that has the existing option to bulk create letters)
As a side note, it seems like CSuite functions as if the only reason a donor would receive a note would to be receiving the tax language they'd need for a donation, however some donations come from another foundation or external DAFs, so it would also be…

Schedule When Funds Are Eligible for Distributions
It would be great if there was an option to schedule when newly established funds are to be included in the granting calculations.
For most of our funds, we require them to sit idle for at least one calendar year after being realized to allow for some earnings to build up before we grant. Currently, we either have to remove them from the granting calculation altogether and just remember to add them back in after 1 year, or uncheck them from the distribution list before it's posted. Either way, we're relying on our notes and memories for this process. An…

Require Fund fields
You recently implemented a feature that allows us to require that certain fields on a Profile record be populated before the user can save the record (detailed on this page https://support.foundant.com/hc/en-us/articles/6042827206807-Profiles-Settings).
It would be extremely useful to have this same functionality available on the Fund object. We frequently have data hygiene issues when users forget to fill in a particular field when they're creating a new Fund record. As much as you remind people that they must fill in certain fields, they sometimes forget. This causes all kinds of reporting issues, fund management issues, etc.
Ideally, it would be…

Grants tab on Fund profile
For quick reference it would be nice to see all grants made by a fund on their profile page. Please consider adding a tab to see grant history.
Thank you1 voteCurrently, all grants are accessible by selecting reports>grants>then all in the date range OR by selecting History on the left side menu of the fund page. Are you asking for another option?

Add Vendor results to Reports (Fund Summary)
We would find it beneficial to have Vendor and totals also reported under the 'Reports' fund summary. We are aware we can use the >Reports dropdown to run a vendor specific report. Having Admin Fees, Grantees, Donors and Vendors on one report would help clarify money in and out across the board. (On my attachment example, the blue boxes shade proprietary/confidential information.)
