Would like to see notes to be able to be categorized by note type, same as attached files are separated by category.

Custom Field in Tasks
We would like to be able to add custom fields in Tasks. One data point we have tracked in Salesforce is whether an activity/task is a "quality contact". For example forwarding an event invitation might be a task, but forwarding a news story and including a special message that encourages someone to consider making a grant might be a "quality contact" task. We use "quality contacts" to measure our client relations team success. If we could add a check box to Tasks for "quality contacts" that would be great.

Ability to format notes
Would like to be able to format the text in notes - ex: bold, underline, paragraphs, bullet points, etc.. It's too difficult to read right now.

Task, Send Calendar Invite ability to set a time of day
When you create a Task and click the check box to "Send Calendar Invite", the person assigned to the tax receives an invite to add to their calendar but it does not have a way to easily choose the time of day for the appointment/task. It would be great if you are scheduling a task to meet with someone you could set the time of the calendar invite. Right now they show up as an entire day entry on the calendar. It's not helpful when scheduling.
You also don't have an option to accept your own calendar invite. So if…

Copy tasks
It would be awesome to be able to copy tasks! I have tasks that are similar, but are not recurring. Copying would save a lot of time.

delete closed tasks
Ability to delete a closed task -- if you enter a task on the wrong record or attach it to the wrong opportunity and don't discover it until after it's been closed, you cannot delete it or transfer it to the appropriate opportunity or get rid of it altogether.

Bulk Reassign Tasks
It would be helpful to have the ability to bulk reassign tasks in cases when there is staff turn-over.
For example there is a Donor Steward who leaves the organization. They have a number of relationship management tasks in cSuite to have a cadence of communication with their assigned donors.
it would save time to be able to bulk-reassign tasks to the new Donor Development rep(s) who will take over relationship management with those donors.

One click task completion
We use to have the ability to finish tasks with one click from the task manager page. Now it is at least three clicks or more just to get it to go away. I understand the options to edit/add notes/etc but that shouldn't come at the sacrifice of simplicity for the user.
Could a one click option be on the task manager page as its own column? Then the user can decide whether they want to complete it or edit it.

Opportunity Tasks Notes Need to Show Up on the Fund
When marking an opportunity related task "done" and subsequently adding a note, the note shows up on the profile of the household and/or individual, but not on the fund profile DESPITE the fund field being specified. In normal notes, if you make a note in a profile and add the fund, the note will show up under the fund, too. This does not happen with the opportunity task notes, which is not efficient or streamlined. It would greatly enhance opportunities if the task notes show up under the fund designated in the notes, just like normal notes.

Release Note/Task Notification
It would be great if the notification for release notes and tasks were different. Maybe a different color for a task or a release note? Or a different location for these 2 notifications? It's hard to pay attention to "red box" for tasks when the box is red every single day because of release notes.

Donation Notes
It would be great if a fund advisor could view notes made on a donation. We have a new fund where many donors have left very nice memorial notes on their donations, but the fund advisor can't view them. I have to go in and export them to excel and send them in a report.
The fund was created in memory of his late wife and it would be nice for him to see those notes instead of having to wait for me to send a report.30 votes -
Notes - Apply to more than one transaction at once?
It would be helpful if we could reference multiple transactions within CSuite when creating a note for a transaction. E.g. if there is a note on a donation and I also want the note on the deposit transaction I have to create the note multiple times. Was hoping notes could reference more than one transaction so they could display on whatever transactions they referenced.

log filter by Task Type to better support staff and data integrity
Sort log by Task Type in CS, GLM, SLM.
We have a Task type of Record Adjustment Action, used to notifiy staff of specific updated (new address/cell/email, deceased, update in NPO Execs). Being able to sort by Type, give DB Manager opportunity to review changes, ensure data integrity and identify gaps in Standard Work or Training opportunities across CSuite, GLM, SLM.

Build out Note reporting.
We use notes to track donor, professional advisor, and grantee interactions. The current reporting includes a ton of "employee" fields but no biographical/name/etc. fields for the associated profile, forcing us to analyze the data entirely in excel.

Note Fields Available in Grant Report and Buckets
It would be really helpful if I could filter by note type in grant reports and grant buckets. We have grants that need to be flagged for additional due diligence. I have added the Note field to my report, but I have to scan through them all to see why there is a note as I do my follow up.

Include notes field in grant reports
In preparing annual reports, news releases, or other communications collateral about our grants, it would be great if the notes field, where we store the summary of what we are funding, could be a filter on the reports. The description field is merely what's on the check stub and for our records; the notes field contains what the organization will do. If there is no way to export this, we're adding hours, at least a full day, in which someone will have to compile that information and make it useful for our one-person communications team - or that one person…

Add "who" when generating a new note
Add the "who" field when generating a note. Have it auto fill with the person entering the note, but give option to change to another person if need be. Right now to change this information, you have to edit the note, click to edit and then change.

Make Notes on Behalf of Someone Else
Assistants should be able to make notes on behalf of their supervisors who have made the contact with a donor, without having to go through the additional step of editing the note and then changing the "Who" box. Allow that to be something that is set from the beginning, the same as the date or type of note is. Executive, donor services, program, and assistants of all other types throughout the user community who are regularly inputting notes for their supervisors will thank you!
