I had a situation where the user from an organization applying for a grant entered their email address with typo. The organization's main email address was entered correctly. All subsequent email to that organization - including once notifying them that they had be chosen to submit a full proposal - bounced, but we did not receive any bounce notifications. The copy to the organization's mail email address wasn't sent either due to this issue, compounding the problem.
The first time I realized that there was a problem was when the organization missed the deadline to submit their full proposal, and I contacted them directly.
The system needs to provide notifications to the sender when batch emails are sent out and some bounce.
