1. Allow default note type to be configured

   Default note type is not configurable (and is set to public view only). It would be useful to configure default note type and sort ordering similar to ssOptions

   There is a setting today which allows you to hide the default note type, then use can use permissions on the other notes types. Global Settings > Security Tab > System Visibility Permissions > Misc. Tab > Hide Public Note Type

2. New field type for people picker

   Right now the system has 2 "people" fields (like owner) on a record. All other people associated with the record need to be added as associated contacts. But it take a lot of steps to add someone as an associated contact... you have to go to a separate area, look for them, choose what type of contact they are, and then click the "add contact" button. I want to have more options like the owner field, where the field is housed on the form itself and people enter the name of the specific contact in that field and hit enter and that is all.

   I want to be able to reference information from that field for web page views and template formulas the same way that I can pull owner.firstname or owner.email.

   I want to be able to run smart check validations off the field to make sure it is filled out before moving to a new status.

   I want to be able to pull these fields into list views.

   If there can't be a new field type for an unlimited number of people picker fields, I would like to have at least 10 standard fields of this type that I can use in different places on the form.

   You can use the linked record list to add associated contacts directly within the form. A redesigned, simplified interface is also planned for the October 2025 upgrade.

3. Group-Based Permissions for Custom Fields

   Description:
   Introduce the ability to assign custom field permissions based on predefined groups, rather than manually configuring permissions for each individual role or status. This would streamline permission management and reduce redundancy in configuration.

   Example:
   Instead of selecting 10 statuses in "Allow View Field" for each custom field, create a predefined group called "Youth Program EOI" to include these 10 statuses, and this group could be used to apply permissions for all statuses related to "Youth Program EOI" in one step.
