  1. When staff members make changes to gifts or grants that have already been posted. I.e. date changes, then the system re-sends the email to the fund advisor. This is confusing to the fund advisors. It would be nice if CSuite recognized that an email had already been sent and will not send another one.

  2. Currently we are able to sort all the columns in the Grants section, but we are unable to sort by Grant ID. At times I think it could be helpful to be able to sort by the ID number.

  3. For the 990 report under the "Nonprofit" section there needs to be additional columns added in order to meet IRS reporting requirements. We need the IRC added as well as the grant purpose.

  5. Since there is a limit on charity checks in Guidestar, it would be helpful to be able to run a charity check just once a day for a grantee if we are entering multiple grants to the same grantee instead of running it on each individual grant.

  6. We many times have grants that are funded by one or more funds. It would be great to have the functionality where each fund source shows up as a grant instead of an an interfund grant.

  7. When a transaction gift, grant or any other transaction is deleted the trail should be shown. Should be able to see the original transaction and then the deletion or change. This is very important for the audit trail!!! And For reconcilliations.

  8. It would be nice if when we created historic accts and grants payable reports that could be exported. We had to retype the information for our auditors to schedule out when grants expire. Also it would be awesome to have a field in grants that tells when they expire.

  10. When creating a grant, the creator can select from a number of templates. It would be good to have that same functionality when entering donations, so the person entering the donation could select a donation letter template right then on the spot. It would give them more flexibility and it would be quicker.

  11. We have a donor advised fund with 7 advisors This is a fund set up by a family with young adult children to teach them about philanthropy.

    The format of this fund is that each adult child can request up to three grants per year with a granting limit of $2,500 per calendar year. Is this something that can be tracked on the advisor level? Is there some reporting that can be set up?

    We often charge funds when a stop payment is placed on a check, or insurance is charged to a fund, additional admin expenses for special projects, etc. There is a lot of room for error with having to do this with two separate journal entries.   16. It would be really great if Community Suite were set up for us to create template letters for things like quarterly statements. We never just send the statement, we always include a letter of some kind and it would make things a lot simpler if we could print statements and letters for the same list of folks at the same time.

  18. We have quite a few funds at our Community Foundation that have two components - An institutional liability fund and a designated asset to the not-for-profit that started the fund. Our short name (fund id) distinguishes between the two with the agency fund being a 1 (Example CLUB1) and the designated fund being a 2 (Example CLUB2) In our previous software we were able to roll both funds up into a master fund so the not-for-profit could see all of the support being received together.   19. Add a County field under profiles. Also allow County to be entered with a grant. In the case of scholarships, we want to flag the student's county, not the county the college is in. We are a 5 county Community Foundation and our board likes to know where we are serving.

  20. One of the functions of Community Foundations is to do the back office work for some of the not-for-profits in our area – as is the case for most of our agency funds.
