1. Nonprofit Directory Listing Remains Live During Edits

   When an organization updates their Directory Listing it goes into a review stage and disappears from the user portal until staff publish the changes.
   It is preferred that the last published version of the Directory Listing remain active on the donation portal while in the review stage. Once staff review, edit, and publish changes the new Listing can appear.
   The only time a Directory Listing should be removed is when staff inactivate it or the nonprofit loses tax exempt status.
   This is critical with a large database of participating nonprofits and high volume giving events. For example, a majority of our 1,500 nonprofits like to update their records prior to a giving day--if staff fall behind we could have an empty database for the event or donors will not be able to find their favorite nonprofit leading up to the event.

2. nonprofit profile image

   We like the new look for the Nonprofit Directory. However, I'd love for the image 'frame', where a nonprofit can upload an image for the directory, to automatically resize the image to a maximum height (I'd suggest 150-200).

   I have asked over 100 nonprofits to provide images to include, but because there is not a size limit on the 'frame' it goes into, it will be to me to edit all of the incoming images to limit the height.

3. Mission Statement Section of Nonprofit Directory needs increased Character Limit

   The character limit of the Mission Statement portion (nonprofit directory) is WAY too short. We have to rewrite virtually all of the organization mission statements to fit the tiny space (see attached screenshot). Who has time for this? We sure don't! This issue has 5 votes and was posted previously in 2021. (see link here)

   6/7/2023: Nonprofit Directory: Enhanced the Nonprofit Directory to display images, share files, and display text in html. This will allow a more robust display of the Nonprofits once a donor has selected a nonprofit displayed in the directory list. On the Nonprofit Designation's Detail tab, there is now a Show Profile Image checkbox. Enabling this checkbox will allow the images on the main profile to display onto the Nonprofit Directory. There is another new checkbox option, HTML Statement, above the statement field. Enabling this option will allow clients to use HTML code in the Statement field with up to 2,000 characters. A new description field has been added to the nonprofits detail tab. This field will allow up to 30,000 characters and is html compatible. The description will show when a nonprofit is selected on the directory view from the donation portal. A new Files tab has been added to the Nonprofit Designation. From this tab, files can be added and shared to the Nonprofit directory. If a category is not added to the file, it will just display on the portal as a file.

4. Nonprofit Directory: Keyword search for donors + more elegant appearance

   We want the Nonprofit Directory to be an engaging tool to educate donors on our nonprofit partners and quickly connect them with an easy way to donate to them.

   DONOR EXPERIENCE
   * Allow donors to search by keyword to find non-profits

   • More elegant look/feel than the simple link. An idea would be an experience more like the Grant catalog with ability to have a picture, overview of the non-profit, contact details including phone & email address.

   • Donate button that takes them right to that NP's grant catalog page.

   ADMIN EXPERIENCE
   * Ease of updating the page, perhaps even ability for invited non-profits to update their own Directory Profile

   We want the Nonprofit Directory to be an engaging tool to educate donors on our nonprofit partners and quickly connect them with an easy way to donate to them.

   5/13/2024: Donation Portal: Add new search capabilities for Nonprofit Directory Listings. Donors can search on Nonprofit names, description text, catagory, and service area. Service Areas must be displayed on the donation portal for them to be part of the search. Adding these additional search fields will provide a more robust Nonprofit Directory Listing search.

5. nonprofit directory - option to access by fund advisors

   Give fund advisors access to the nonprofit directory. This would allow them to look for ideas of who to make grants to, if they are looking to support a specific "cause"

   There is an option to enable a new tab to display the nonprofit directory for Fund Advisors.  The tab name can be set in Fund Advisors>Settings.

6. Nonprofit Directory - more space for text

   The nonprofit directory is a great tool for displaying our local nonprofits on our website! We would like to be able to feature more info about each organization.

   Currently, each nonprofit directory entry has a maximum of 150 characters of text that can be entered. This is not enough text to give the mission of the nonprofit as well as other pertinent information. We are wondering if it would be possible to add more characters to this field. Alternatively, if we could create a custom field and add it to the directory profile, that would be great. The 150 character limit is too small!

7. nonprofit directory - contact and email address

   Nonprofit Directory has great potential! Here are a few things that would make it great: Currently the only email address that can be displayed is the main email for the organization. The name of the main contact must be specified in the "Make Nonprofit" process but their email address cannot be added. There are fields to add additional email addresses and contact names but they seem to do nothing 🤔.

   Released an update on 10/19/23 that allows a user to add a public email to the nonprofit record.  This email will override the primary email on the main profile and can be used as the contact's email.
