  1. {{advisor.address}} and {{advisor.address2}} on grant template always shows as two lines on the merged letter. Fix this so that these merge fields can appear side by side on the grant letter.

Thanks for your idea. Currently, we handle address formatting on the check, and making changes there could potentially disrupt a lot of existing templates. Our approach is designed to work with the assumption that Address Line 2, if present, will be displayed on a new line, as this setup accommodates most of our templates.

Given that altering this could lead to issues with template functionality, I recommend using a custom field for any specific information you want to display on the same line in the grant letter, but not in other documents. This would allow you to customize the content without affecting the overall template structure.

  2. Since the ability to archive templates isn't an option, it would be helpful if you could change a template to Advanced.

  3. There are times when a tax recpt/ty template used for a donation may need a tweak or personalization for various reasons. However, if we do that, we then don't have what we actually sent the donor on the particular donation record bc we downloaded the letter at made the edits in word. Unless we then save and upload to have the proof. PITA. Please please put an editor/template creator in the software so we can have everything we do in one place!

  4. Categorize the Tax Receipt page that shows unsent tax receipts as either "Unposted" or "Posted/Recent", consistent with the Donation page. We post gifts and then send letters, and this view would be helpful to make sure we don't send a tax receipt letter before the gift has been reviewed.

  5. Currently there is no merge field in templates for Donation Advisor, versus Donor Name. For advised donations, it would be helpful to have a template that includes the fields for the advisor instead of the technical "donor." For example, Schwab Charitable may be the source of the donation check, but John Smith was the advisor for that donation. We don't want to thank Schwab; we want to thank John Smith. Right now, we must edit the thank you and it would be great if we could automate this process.

If a donation advisor is added to the donation record prior to creating the tax receipt, the receipt will be addressed to the donation advisor.   There are two additional idea lab requests to print the envelope for the donation advisor (currently uses donor info) and updating the salutation to the donation advisor salutation.

  6. When generating a yearly tax receipt for an individual donor, please list the years available in some kind of order - most recent at the top would be preferential but ANY order would be helpful. Right now, they're all mixed up with no rhyme or reason.
