  1. When clicking on Public Profile, it would be helpful have more specific error messages.For example,something to differentiate when a nonprofit has not claimed their Great Nonprofits profile vs. “there was a problem parsing the data,” which gives the impression there was a technical glitch.

  2. It would be helpful if on the drop down list where you assign a follow up, it had their title or role instead of just their name. We assign different people to different follow ups within one institution and don't always remember who is who

  3. I would like to be able to add a description to a follow-up form that only internal parties can see. Then, when you create a follow up you can put in that place what that form should be used for or any other internal notes. We have variations of grant agreements, challenge grant forms, reports, etc and instead of using "Grant Agreement" and "Grant Agreement *", where * has some internal meaning to us, we could just describe what that form is for in a place not visible to applicants.

  4. Our decision dates are entered into Foundant as the date of the board meeting at which the decision was made. Our notifications to grantees are often made a few weeks later. I'd rather the decision date either be allowed to be made not visible, or have an additional field like 'board meeting date' versus external decision date. Basically, I had used the 'decision date' as an internal record keeping field tied to exact board meeting dates without realizing the applicants could view those dates. I don't think the applicants need to know the exact date of our board meetings, but…

  5. Hi all, I'm not sure if this is a "just me" problem, but:

    There is currently a quick, easy visual way to determine if a question's Required Type is "Required" (asterisk on question's Label), but no way to differentiate between something that is "Read Only" and "Optional" without clicking into each individual question.

    This can be annoying when you're sharing a ton of questions between forms, as you need to first share the question into the form and then go back in to edit its required type. E.g. we track 10-30 separate indicators per process, and our final report forms…

  6. We used to be prompted to put in decision comments when approving or denying, and we really liked that. After one of the recent updates (maybe 2018.5), we no longer have that option. Is this something we need turned on or do we need to get folks to vote for this to bring it back?
    I can use the Conditions of grant, but that doesn't seem appropriate, because we use that for actual conditions on a grant, not just to express details around the decisions.
    If there is a workaround other's have used, I would love to know how that…

  7. Would like to see a "Special Format Text Question" for phone numbers under the question type options. Currently one's options for requesting a phone number as a question type include text box or integer. It would be nice to have an option similar to the formatting in Excel where you can type in a 10-digit number and it populates into a "(xxx) xxx-xxxx" format.

  8. A grantee submits a final report and it goes to submitted. I notify the Program Officer to review and answer their internal questions in the Follow Up, and then they click Complete and it goes to Completed bucket. But it would be nice if it would notify me so I can check and make sure they did it right and I can close the grant, then prep the grant for our learning document. Otherwise I just have to periodically check for completed final reports.

  9. Right now, the internally facing duplicate EIN warning is on the request summary screen, rather than the organization summary screen. I would like to see it in both places.

  10. Provide each due date in its own column.

    When you have multiple follow ups all of the due dates appear in one column together-making sorting difficult

  11. Hello! I know in other databases I've managed, I had the ability to run a "user" report to see what user was making what changes. This was helpful because if someone was keying in information incorrectly, I could reach out to help them follow the protocol that is set. Might be something worth considering. Thanks!

  16. Our foundation sometimes awards grants that are both matching and non-matching - a certain amount is given outright, then additional funds are given if the grantee provides proof of match. We have workarounds in place, but they are not ideal. Perhaps allowing one installment to be "one time" and the other to be matching would work?

  17. We have a long list of processes that are hard to sort through. These would be easier to navigate through some kind of folder system. It's not easy to check all of those boxes to sift through our process list every single time I log in. For one grant category we have, there is 22 processes. We need to group these so that I can expand or collapse all 22 in a simple way.

    And/or, I'd like to have a default selection of my choices of processes that are 'my' processes, or ones I commonly work on, or ones I…

  18. When logging on as an applicant, the dashboard is cumbersome to navigate and many applicants immediately click Organizational History, so they can immediately see a concise historical grant list. The problem is when you click a request, you can only see your application & decision, no follow-ups. The follow up only appears on the dashboard, and this makes it hard for applicants to find them. I have had several calls regarding this issue. Please make follow-ups visible in Organizational History!

  19. I am entering multiple manual grants for an organization under one process. The current setup requires that I exit the process and return to the organization contact page for every grant I need to enter, even though it's the same organization and same process. Please create an option to enter manual grants WITHIN a specific process. Thank you.

  20. Recently I had several meeting documents uploaded into a file in Shared Documents, beginning logically with the Agenda. I had to make a change in the Agenda, and to keep it first, I had to delete all the other uploaded documents, then upload the corrected Agenda, then upload all the others. It would be handy to be able to upload documents and then move them around so they are in the desired order.
