1. Text Ranking with Score

   We would love the ability to display ranking options in text to our evaluators, such as
   Extremely Clear
   Very Clear
   Somewhat Clear
   Not So Clear
   Not at All Clear

   BUT - We'd like to store them as numeric data so that
   Extremely Clear =5
   Very Clear =4
   Somewhat Clear =3
   Not So Clear =2
   Not at All Clear =1

   To be clear, we don't want to show the numeric to the evaluator, just the text.
   Currently, we use a complicated formula to calculate the data.

2. Numeric Grant Numbers

   Can Foundant add numeric grant numbers that auto-counts grants in a process?

   For example, we support research projects and grantees need to acknowledge it in the research paper with something to the effect of "We acknowledge financial support from "Foundation Name" under grant # ("Foundation Acronym"-***) at the end of the paper. The grant number allows for tracking where we would enter in the grant number in something like Google Scholar and see how many papers have been published through it.

   Right now, there are no unique identifiers for Grants to track externally.

4. Pull Opportunity Info or Flag Questions into Follow Up Forms

   When creating Follow Up forms, it would be a real time-saver, and lessen the likelihood of error, to be able to pull information or fields from the Applicant Opportunities section of the Universe into the follow up form. (Or even from the connected CSuite Scholarship.)

   Currently, each opportunity we have has its own initial acceptance follow up form where the student must certify they still meet that scholarship's criteria, and we have to manually copy/paste that criteria into the follow up form from the Applicant Description section of the Opportunities page, or the scholarship description in CSuite.

   To take it a step further would be the idea of a universal Follow Up form, where the opportunity criteria (description) could auto-populate into the form based on the Process it is assigned to.

   Also helpful in this realm, would be the option to set a flag/eligibility question within a follow up form. For example, criteria for a scholarship is "must attend XYZ or ABC College"; they are already able to select from the School list in CSuite (thank you!), it'd be great if we could make it a certain question type, set it so that any other school selected besides XYZ or ABC College is a fail, and that would show up as a flag on our side after they submit the form, somewhere on the Follow Ups Submitted page so we know that needs addressing sooner than another follow up. Or a different example for renewable scholarships, this "eligibility/flag" question type would be extremely helpful when a minimum cumulative GPA is required to retain their scholarship, and they enter something less than that, they're flagged in the Follow Ups Submitted workload, and we can try and address that with the donor and the student right away, rather than not being aware of the issue until we get to reviewing that particular Follow Up.

   I recognize this would be a heavier bit of coding then other ideas, but something to think about!

5. Increase number of columns in tables

   To effectively use Tables as a shared question in a Follow Up (as stated in documentation, very helpful for Budget and ongoing grantee progress statements) - being limited to only 5 columns does not allow for multi-year grants especially

6. Score based on answers to questions on application.

   Need the system to generate a score for the application based on how questions on the application are answered. For example: a GPA between 3.8-4.0 would receive 10 pts, 3.6-3.79 would receive 8 pts, etc. This could be a % score.

7. sync forms across processes

   I know when I copy a process all the form fields sync, but I'd love it if that would happen when a form is added across processes. I've recently added several new follow up forms across all processes, and it's making my reporting life a nightmare.

8. minimum character count

   It would be great if the admin could set both a minimum and maximum character count for such questions as "Integer." For example, if we require a 7-digit number, we can set the maximum to 7 characters, but we don't have a way to set the minimum character count to 7 as well, which can contribute to mistakes with ID submission.

9. Table Question - Ability to Edit Read-Only Cells

   When building a table question, It would be GREAT to be able to edit read-only cells. I confirmed with Support that at present, read-only cells do not allow you to edit their content other than their label, yet applicants cannot see cell labels. This means that any read-only cell that is not in a summary row will always show up to applicants as a blank cell.

   This is confusing because it makes it seem like you have the option to do something you don't, e.g. put readable content in read-only cells. I would love to be able to do something like use a read-only row to demonstrate how we are asking an applicant to fill out the table.

11. Question Required Type Visibility

    When we set up forms, the questions alternate between the required types (required, optional, read only) and visibility (internal, everyone, etc.). It would be helpful if the questions required type was visible at-a-glance similarly to the visibility so that we didn't have to click on the actual question and open it, just to see if its a read-only or optional.

12. select multiple rows/columns in tables

    Add the ability to select multiple rows/columns when building tables, so that when you mess up for the 50th time, you can delete all your extra rows at once. :-)

13. Allow Instruction Questions to be Shared Questions

    We input scholarship fund information as instruction questions on our UA application form. We would like to be able to share these to our evaluation forms so that the applicants and the evaluators both have the fund information with staff only needing to update the fund information in one place (currently we have to update in both the application and on the evaluation forms).

15. Urgent: Remove White Background on Instructions

    If I copy instructional text within SLM, I have a white background appear for text. Admin can view this in the "Edit" part of the App in the Process.

    Evaluators are now getting confused seeing a white background and then the white text area in a resume section for example. Can Foundant please adjust this on a major scale? I reached out to support and the answer was for me to change the text to plain text and edit from there. However, this is appearing across our site and would require a lot of manual work.

17. Regular Expression - Project Request Field

    Limits on Project Request Field

    Please allow us to enter regular expressions for the project request field or impose limits in any way. Currently, we use this field for scholarship applications as Initials and Last 4 Digits in an attempt to reduce as much bias during evaluation season. However, despite an 8 character limit, students will forgo their initials, etc. It would be great to have a unified type of answer.

    Example: IAS 4777 or IS 4777
    Regular Expression provided by Foundant Support would solve this - ^([a-zA-Z]{2,3})((\s)([0-9]{4}))?$

19. Question Labels - Customize/Extend Character Count

    It would be really helpful to have more than 100 characters to work with when adding question labels to forms. I do utilize the instructions section regularly to provide more clarification but also want the question labels to be as clear as possible without having to abbreviate to make it all fit.

20. Prepopulate Answers in Decision Forms

    It would be helpful to prepopulate answers in decision forms in the process manager, similar to how you can prepopulate follow up dates. That would allow for much easier approval and denial; it may even allow for batching.

    Example: There may be a generic 2022 Approval Form that I could use across several processes. But in the process manager for a specific process, I could indicate the Board date, the program officer, the grant type, and any other filed on the form that is the same across all awards/denials for that opportunity. This would allow for consistent answers and greatly reduce the number of clicks when processing decisions.
