Keep Sections Collapsed Across Profiles/Funds
Some sections of information on fund and profile records (and probably other records too) are not relevant for all staff members to see. It would be great if individuals could collapse a certain section and it would stay collapsed when they went to other funds and profiles in CSuite instead of having to collapse them on each profile.
This idea is similar:

Editing Profile Custom Fields
The new profile enhancement has doubled data entry time for the demographic info we track on students since custom fields are no longer included when you click edit. It takes too long to click edit on an individual custom field, select the answer, save it, wait for the screen to refresh, and then have to scroll back down to the custom field section to do the next one. Please go back to having all of the custom fields editable at one time.

New Profile Updates - Household Members More Visible
Household members are difficult to find at the bottom of the relationships tab. Would like to see them at the top of the screen and not buried in one of the tabs.

pronoun bulk update
It's so great to see pronouns as a field on individual profiles! Please allow us to bulk-update pronouns for individual profiles. I would love to see that on the profile actions in custom reports but if it needs to be via bulk update (names), we can live with that too. Thank you!
5 votesProfiles: Added the ability from Bulk Update<Names to update pronoun in bulk. Clients will now the pronoun field in the last column on this export, and will be able to add pronouns using a comma to separate more that one; for example: she, her, hers

last grant date on profile
It would be wildly helpful if the last grant date was an option for reports on grantees. In other words, you could pull a profile report that would also tell you the last date that the profile received a grant.

bulk inactivate profiles
It would be great if we could make profiles inactive from a report or list of profiles. We sent out a file to identify deceased persons. It's been a minute since that has been done and we received back more than 1200 as deceased. It's going to take quite a bit of time to manually touch every one of those profiles to mark them as, at the minimum, inactive. If inactivate was an option for bulk updates, that would be wonderful. It would need to be protected somehow so just everyone didn't have the ability to make mass profiles inactive.

Our highest voted idea lab submission was the ability to identify the main profile data regardless of the designation.
The profile summary includes the information needed when working with constituents. The primary profile data will now be static at the top of the page regardless of the designation page that is being viewed. This summary includes an image, primary contact information, last donation date and pronouns. With this new layout there will be an icon next to the profiles name at the header. This will allow a User to easily identify an individual, household, or organization record. Images have also been added to the top header box for easy reference as well. profile pictures
In addition to attaching files, it would be nice if we could attach a profile picture. This would be helpful for board members, committee members, fund advisors, etc.

Hide an org or grantee profile from fund advisor portal search
Our use case is around scholarship only org profiles showing up for fund advisors to search causing numerous problems and confusion, but there are other applications for this. So, similar to hiding funds, consider adding a checkbox either on a org profile or grantee layer that prevents the profile from being searchable via the fund advisor portal when looking for grantees.
3 votesHere is a link to a help article that explains how to make a vendor record inactive. This can be done in bulk. When a vendor record is inactive and there is a grantee designation on the profile, it is removed from the fund advisor search. You can still create grants to inactive grantee's from the back end. https://support.foundant.com/hc/en-us/articles/4414050001303-Bulk-Activate-or-Inactivate-Vendors-and-Grantees

New User records should default to "Individual" profile types rather than "Organization" profile types
New "User" records should create an associated "Individual" profile type rather than an "Organization" profile type.
Why does adding a new "User" to CSuite create an "Organization" profile type? Our users are people (individuals). Every time we hire new staff we have to manually convert the profile record to an individual type, and then change the profile's "org" name from "John Smith" to "Community Foundation for...". The default should be an individual record type.
3 votesReleased on 5/14/24:
Profiles: Updated Profiles to incorporate the user as a designation. This will create a new workflow when creating users. First, a profile will need to be created and then "Make" the new profile a user from the designation list. With this update, if a user is also a fund advisor, the user login information will supersede the fund advisor login information. These changes were necessary to move towards a single sign on. To easily identify profiles of both, users and fund advisors, there is a new left-side menu in Users called Login Duplicates. This will display any profiles that have user logins duplicated. Once the list of duplicates is resolved, the profiles will remove from the list.

Create an address type
It would be awesome if we could create our own address type. I understand there are several on the dropdown for business, home, etc. But it would be nice to create a separate address type if possible. We ACH our designated grants June 1st every year... but before sending them out we like to address them a letter/email to notify them of the ACH and see if they need to update their ACH information. I would like to be able to put an "ACH Address" on the profile when the address is different for the ACH vs. where we would…
3 votesThere is a current option to set your own address types. In Profiles, select Profile Types from the left side menu. You should then see an option to Add Address Type. That allows you to add a new address type. If you have further questions, please reach out to support.

Does anyone know why anytime you put in a new profile that it wants to sync it with GLM profiles. This sets up for more error on my end, since I don't have anything to do with GLM and takes more time with more steps. Am I the only one that feels this way, or is there a way to shut off this feature?

Profile Address Display
Get rid of ALL the extra text in Profile addresses, emails, phones, etc. Meaning when an address is primary, simply add a dot or check, some sort of symbol vs. "Yes" same with Primary Emails, phones, etc.
While I'm at it, get rid of the blue text that says [Do Not Mail], [Do Not Email], [Do Not Call] - this is confusing.
There has to be a BETTER design way to display these functions.3 votes5/3/2023: Profiles have a new a look with this enhancement. email type
Can we please add an option to select email type (home, business, personal, custom) in order to neatly organize a contact's various emails? This is extremely important to be able to communicate per a client's preferences. Many CRM's also allow a "custom type" where you can modify the type name. Thank you!
