  1. To my knowledge we can only tag merge profiles that appear in the Engagement tab on a profile. It would be helpful if there was a way to tag two profiles for merging that don't appear in the engagement tab.

    We like using the tag merge feature so staff can recommend records to merge so other staff who are assigned that ability can make the determination to do so. Sometimes we find records that we think might be duplicates that don't appear under Engagement which would make this feature helpful.

    In a profile record, there is a left side menu option titled Merge.  After selecting Merge, you will be prompted to search for the profile record that needs to be merged.  

  2. When utilizing the "print envelope" feature within a person or organization's profile, all of the listed addresses populate to select from...even the inactive ones. To be sure, one must use the back button to confirm the primary. Please list the primary address as the top option and PLEASE do not list inactive addresses. This could save time and avoid many slip ups when mailing via USPS (sharing for a friend...) Thanks :)

    5/3/2023: Profiles have a new a look with this enhancement.  Foundant is excited to take so many of the User submitted ideas from idea lab and make them happen in the software.  Our highest voted idea lab submission was the ability to identify the main profile data regardless of the designation.

    The profile summary includes the information needed when working with constituents. The primary profile data will now be static at the top of the page regardless of the designation page that is being viewed.  This summary includes an image, primary contact information, last donation date and pronouns.  With this new layout there will be an icon next to the profiles name at the header.  This will allow a User to easily identify an individual, household, or organization record.   Images have also been added to the top header box for easy reference as well.   3. When creating profiles, it's very tedious that you can't enter the type of address or type of phone number and have to create then edit again.

    This is especially tedious when you're uploading 200+ profiles using the profile import and have to manually go to each profile to set the address or phone number type. At the very least, having it be a field for importing profiles would be nice.

  4. When you are in a profile, it seems like you have to click a lot of buttons to get the household and then back to a household member. How do you get household and household member donation totals?

  5. In the release today, May 3rd, when creating a new profile, the custom fields are not available for initial entry. This causes a significant increase in time to enter each field individually as the fields are also unavailable through the main Edit option. Please open custom fields for data entry with initial profile creation.

  7. Is it possible to have the Create Voucher, Create Grant, Create Donation on the Details tab in the left hand menu without having to first click on a Designation? Getting to have too many clicks to navigate to needed screen.

  8. When a profile is marked INACTIVE, you should not be able to cut a check or a grant or post a donation. We had a grant check go out in error to an inactive profile. At the very minimum there should be a warning that you are processing on an inactive profile. FIMS did not allow you to have transactions pushed through on an inactive record.

  9. The new profile enhancement has doubled data entry time for the demographic info we track on students since custom fields are no longer included when you click edit. It takes too long to click edit on an individual custom field, select the answer, save it, wait for the screen to refresh, and then have to scroll back down to the custom field section to do the next one. Please go back to having all of the custom fields editable at one time.

    Profiles: Added the delete option to the donor designation. On a household profile's relationship tab, moved the household members above profile types. Resolved the GLM link no longer working for a profile. Added the ability to unlink the profile fund from the relationship tab. Resolved an issue with grantees address not populating into the profile record if the grantee was manually created from the fund advisor portal.

  10. Household members are difficult to find at the bottom of the relationships tab. Would like to see them at the top of the screen and not buried in one of the tabs.

  11. Pronoun Field

    We need a place to capture pronouns on profiles. This must be an editable field - not a drop down menu, as pronoun preferences and combinations may not match what we would anticipate in advance. I consider this request of critical importance.

    It is a sign of respect and care to use a person's proper pronouns - we know from scientific research that mis-gendering people by using incorrect pronouns can have a serious impact on their mental health.

  12. In the gray box where it says "Profile," include the type of profile it is (i.e. individual, household, organization). At first glance, it is sometimes hard to tell if you are looking at an organization or individual -- causing donations to sometimes be attached to the wrong profile. Or update the gray bar to different colors for different profiles.

  13. It's so great to see pronouns as a field on individual profiles! Please allow us to bulk-update pronouns for individual profiles. I would love to see that on the profile actions in custom reports but if it needs to be via bulk update (names), we can live with that too. Thank you!

    Profiles: Added the ability from Bulk Update<Names to update pronoun in bulk. Clients will now the pronoun field in the last column on this export, and will be able to add pronouns using a comma to separate more that one; for example: she, her, hers

  14. When you are merging two profiles because of a duplicate it would be great if the StripeID customer link field was populated on that page so you know which profile the stripe payment is attached to so that information is not lost.

  15. We are not clear how the sort order is established for Org Roles / Profile Links. We would like to see Org Roles sorted with "Active" Org Roles followed by Inactive.

    For example, we add links to our current and former board members. We would like to see our current ("active") board members at the top.

  16. In the new Profiles update on 5/3/2023, I changed the Default Payment Type to Electronic on a profile, but once I saved it, the field still appears blank.

  17. I wish there was a way to edit the Address Types in CSuite. Our Address Types were imported from FIMS. We need to updated and add some address Types. I have a Profile that has a PO Box for mail but they have a different address for the business location. We didn't have an Address Type for this in FIMS and now we are stuck with old information and no way to label the extra address on the profile with a valid Address Type.

    If I am understanding the problem correctly, there is an option to add and edit address types.  In Profiles, select Profile Types from the left side menu.  There is an option in the left side menu to add an address type.  You can also select the ID of the address type you would like to edit.

  18. Please add the ability to search profiles by EIN it would make it much easier to find the correct organization as SO MANY use similar names or DBA other names

    • Profiles: Enhanced the profiles search option to include address, phone numbers, and EIN. Email and phone search has been moved to the main page, instead of left-side menu options. Inactive profiles will now have a red inactive at the end of their profile in the search areas. This will help easily identify if the profile is inactive before selecting the profile.
