  1. Under Profile, in the ACH Settings when entering the routing number, would like for CS to be able to verify if its a valid or invalid number when configuring the account information. Currently, a NACHA file is run with the account information that is configured and then uploaded to the bank where then you will find out if the routing is valid or not. Would be nice to find this out on the front end of the process rather than the end of the process.

  2. Unfortunately I don't believe this is a new idea, but the past ideas that were similar were archived so I'm taking another stab at submitting this idea.

    In instances where the Primary address of a donor is marked as inactive, I would like tax receipts not to generate to mail to those locations as it is wasting postage and time.

    I chatted with help today and they suggested marking those receipts as already sent, but that would mean having to click into every profile to see if their address is active then going through the list of donations to mark…

  3. Fund Advisors are literally users with unique access and it would be valuable for Foundant users to always consider them this way. I know some will disagree, but adding User as a designation made things more simple. Categorizing a User as a Fund Advisor - if coded efficiently and for effectiveness - could make things more simple as well.

  4. When you mark a profile deceased, it is automatically marked inactive and you have to reopen it to make that change. Not all deceased profiles are inactive - we pull them frequently but if they're also marked inactive they might not get pulled.

  5. I would like the option to add birthdays to a Household profile that contains two individuals (typically a couple) who want to be recognized as one entity.... without needing to create two individual profiles.

  6. When creating a profile from Guidestar, please do NOT add all the 990s and such to the files tab. That info is not needed inside our system and just creates stuff we have to sift through to find and attachments that we actually need.

    If you can't change that - please make it possible to easily delete those files in bulk when a profile is created.

  7. I would like to be able to create different types of mail labels and salutations (i.e. a formal, informal, board member, Professional Advisor). We use formal mail labels and salutations when notifying a non-profit of whom they can thank for the grant. But when we are sending mail to a fund advisor we use an informal label and salutation.

  8. Wouldn't it be so cool if we could select a preferred method of contact for donors, grantees, etc. as a default profile question instead of having to make a custom profile field? I think so. Please vote for this idea.

  9. When a household is marked "do not mail" offer the option to apply to other members of the household as well. Similar to how the system asks if you want to change other profiles when you make an address, phone or email change.

  10. Add a date field option to Profile Types. We are adding CAP program and have classes and to track classes, a date field would be a great add. Otherwise we would create a profile type for each year to track classes.

  11. We would like to see a permission setting that would allow users with that permission to view the full Account number entered into ACH Settings. Today, our only option is to Configure the settings or Clear the Settings.

    We would like to the option for a small number of users to be able to view the settings (including the full account number).

    This would be helpful when we need to confirm that the account number entered. It would also be helpful if we need to clear the settings to merge into another record and add the settings back after the…

    Thank you for your request to introduce a permission setting that would allow certain users to view the full bank account number stored in ACH Settings. We understand the need for visibility in cases where confirmation or re-entry of bank information is necessary, such as during record merges.

    However, we are unable to fulfill this request due to compliance requirements under NACHA (National Automated Clearing House Association) Operating Rules and related data security standards. Specifically, NACHA guidelines and best practices around data security and access controls require that sensitive banking information, such as full bank account numbers, be protected and accessible only to systems or individuals with a strict operational need—typically through encrypted or tokenized systems that minimize direct human access.

    Allowing users to view full account numbers, even with elevated permissions, could increase the risk of unauthorized exposure or misuse of sensitive financial data, and would place the…

  13. Work Phone No. - Many facilities include an extension. Would be nice to be able to add phone number followed by ext. or extension. Perhaps a new field with phone extension. At the moment workaround is to use Other Details.

  14. You archived my last idea to allow us to edit Phone Types. So I'm going to try again...

    As there is currently no way to edit Phone Types to expand the options available, can you marry the Phone Types to the Email Types so that we have a broader set of options for Phone Types?

  15. With the new profile updates, I noticed that when I change an address associated with a household, it does not ask if I want to update the other addresses within the household. Can we please have this feature restored? I now have to go into each profile and update the address which is time consuming.

  16. We would like a box for maiden name on a profile. This way we can track name changes - especially if someone received a scholarship under their maiden name but has since changed their name to marriage. Another option would just to add a box that says "other names." This would cover other types of name changes as well.

  17. Is it possible to have Do Not Mail for profile in donor mode, but Mail in vendor mode.
    Some of our profiles do not wish to receive general mailouts but we still need to be able to cut a cheque using their address.

  18. Our staff would like to be able to assign more than one steward to a profile. We've created a custom field but that field isn't part of the built-in Steward functionality.

  19. LOVE THE NEW PROFILE FORMAT - but can members of a household be links at the top instead of under the relationship tab?

    From an individual profile, you have the link to go to their household profile, but it doesn't work the same way going in the opposite direction.

  20. When you "list profiles" included in a Profile Type the view defaults to pull in this filter- "Deceased: Yes, No".

    Support told me there is no way to turn this off the default view, we have to delete it each time. Nobody wants a category list to pull deceased profiles automatically! Please remove this default.
