  1. Add 'Activate NonProfit' as an option in 'Bulk Actions' from Reports to allow for bulk activating the NonProfit designation for profiles that are included in a report. This functionality is already available for activating Vendors.

  2. This was a previous idea (https://idealab.foundant.com/forums/597718-communitysuite-idea-lab/suggestions/46800925-first-last-name-sync-to-mailchimp-added-back) that was closed, not sure why. Like many community foundations, we do marketing! Through Mailchimp! The sync option is great, but missing some important pieces. Please include other fields besides email address. Modern email marketing includes personalization features like "Dear Lucy" which it would be nice to have. Besides the name fields, I could see cases for grabbing ANY other Profile fields during a sync. Perhaps have a dialog screen that asks the user to select/deselect fields for syncing?

  3. Currently, the Print Envelope feature only allows envelopes to be generated as PDF files. It would be very helpful if there was an option to choose for the envelopes to be generated as a Word document, as there is usually a need to edit the envelope prior to printing.

  4. Emailing Vendors when paying a voucher. We notify our payables manually, but it would be great to send them the check details when the voucher is paid.

  5. It would be really nice to be able unreconcile in bulk or back to a certain month. Currently, you have to unreconcile, month, by month (and lets say) you were doing some year end cleanup in Dec, caught something that happened in Feb, its a pain to unreconcile 11 times (assuming you are reconciling once a month and not more than once a month)

  6. Add indicator on profile records that indicates the profile was created from the import donations tool. Allow this field to be filtered on in reports. This will help greatly in identifying duplicate profiles created by imports.

  7. Add the option to Activate and Inactivate a Profile from the left menu without having to edit the profile to check, or uncheck, the 'Inactive' field. There are often times where we need to activate a profile to correct some information then inactivate it. This process is tedious when it requires us to edit the profile each time this status changes.

  8. When we generate fund statements, we're now only able to filter by selecting one of 4 fund fields: Group, Subgroup, Division, and Segment. It would help if we could filter based on more than 1 of those fields at the same time.

    This enhancement would allow us to simplify our fund coding and create better batches of funds statements.

  9. In the Onlinedonationemail_body section, I am not able to send emails that address the donor by name because there are no available fields to pull.

    So, for quite some time, I was sending emails addressed to "Dear {name}" - silly me! It would be great if that field actually worked and I could address my donors by name. We are doing all that we can to build relationships and names are important! For now, I'll have to go "generic", which really isn't fundraising best practice.

  10. Fundraisers have requested to pull donations linked to opportunities assigned to them. To facilitate this, we have one option available: the opportunity type name. It would be beneficial if you could provide us with two fields—opportunity ID and opportunity assigned name—to filter by in the donations report.

  11. Opportunities are plans that detail and track fundraising efforts to build relationships with prospects and secure major gifts; 2 different types to secure a major gift are cash and pledge.
    When a commitment is made through a pledge, the remaining balance should reflect the variance between the solicited amount and the pledged amount. This shouldn't be limited strictly to cash contributions.

  12. It would be helpful to have a checkbox on grants to control whether the grant affects the spendable balance or not. Of course, the default behavior should be for the grant to decrease the spendable balance of the fund. Occasionally, we have grants that should not affect the spendable balance of the fund, and currently, we need to perform a manual adjustment for these grants. It would be useful to introduce a new checkbox in the grant creation process, labeled something like "Does not affect spendable balance".   13. Some opportunities are successfully closed when approached in a team. We'd like to have the ability to assign 2 employees to an opportunity, with 1 being the primary or lead and the other being support or secondary.

  14. Make the ID numbers of profile addresses, phone numbers and email addresses visible on all profiles. This would allow the log data for address/phone/email updates, additions and deletions to be better understood and would allow address, phone and email IDs to be filtered on in reports.

We're planning to launch our nonprofit directory page soon, and in addition to a previous idea I added about being able to sort/filter the list by service area, I have a few other ideas for enhancing this area of CSuite. The nonprofit directory already seems to pull some information directly from the profile itself but this can be overridden by editing the nonprofit area which can be different from the profile information. I'd like to see an option to pull over information from the profile so updates on the profile are reflected in the directory. Or have the option to…

  18. When completing a task, add option to add a follow-up task
    When completing a task, it would be nice to have an option to add a follow-up task. When any of our staff I've assigned a task to, completes a task it would be nice for them to see an option to add the next follow-up task to ensure this occurs. Otherwise if they don't, I need to re-review their portfolios and make sure there is a follow-up occurring as needed. Especially with Stewardship follow-ups.

  19. I marked an email inactive and then updated the current email as Primary. When I go into the email function from the left menu bar, I still have the Inactive email address as the first option in the email dropdown. What is the point if having an email marked Inactive, if it still shows up in the functionality? And, the user has to go back to the profile to determine which one is the Primary/active one. At the very least, can you mark the inactive email with "Inactive" ?

  20. To better organize profile notes, a good idea to consider is to organize the notes on a profile by category as we did with the attached files update. A lot of times we go back to notes for the name things such as Grants, Profile Updates, Donations, etc.. Categorizing notes can definitely help us be more efficient and find what we are looking for in a faster more organized way.
