While we appreciate the opportunity to attach certain grant letters to fund types under "Templates" in CSuite, we are running into an issue with CSuite mandating that a default letter be selected for different fund types. Because our Foundation creates so many manual grants, having a pre-selected default letter is creating extra work for our staff. Additionally, the grants that we synch over from GLM do not have a grant letter created through CSuite, and not being able to remove a default letter creates a layer of additional work for our staff.

  2. Could we get notified when a future grant payment is due (new and open buckets) in CSuite and have the scheduled grant date turn red when the payment date has passed.

  3. Synch grant summary from GLM into CSuite
    The majority of our staff our CSuite only users so it would be helpful to have the grant summary import when synching GLM grants to CSuite. Right now, we are having to edit each grant to add the grant summary into CSuite.

  4. It would HUGELY helpful for us to have more than 250 characters in the grant description field on grants for longer descriptions and details that the grantee needs to receive without having to create multiple custom fields on the fund or profile to pull into the letter.

    We share our designated scholarship criteria in this way, and those can be anywhere between 1000-3000 characters.

  5. When creating a grant report to see all grants made from DAFs, but to exclude deceased fund advisors, we learned that when we added that filter, it removed grants from the report. Chat support said the issue is the "Advisor Deceased" filter, if we remove this filter it will then give us all of the grants. The filter applies to grant advisors, and so it excludes any grant that doesn't have a grant advisor.

  6. When creating a grant in Csuite, the grant letter template field just displays "edit". Even if a fund has been assigned a template in system data, there is no way to know what grant letter will pull. If a template has been assigned, it would be nice if that template name displayed in the grant under Grant Letter template.

  8. The new process to download grant letters in bulk as word document currently has the Batch ID, CheckID, Vendor, Document (grant letter) and Amount. Please add a field to include the date when this batch was created. It's helpful as to not send duplicate grant letters from weeks ago.

  9. We have a donor who just made 33 grants from their DAF, not using the portal. In cases like this where the portal isn't used, we send them an email confirmation of the grant(s) they recommended and then attach a pdf of that email to the grants in case our auditors want to see the grant recommendation confirmation.
    We also receive donations from donors who want the payment to be split over multiple funds, so the same issue arises on that side as well of attaching the same documentation to multiple records.

  10. Currently when an advisor requests a grant we have four staff members who receive the notification email about the request. However, the email only includes the advisor name in the notification. Is it possible to have the notification include the grantee and amount that is being requested?

  13. Auto populate the 990 newly created tax class field using Charity Check but allow for manual overrides..

    See the implimented tax class implientation below:

    This functionality was released on December 1st, 2021. Added a 990 report for Grants to Individuals. Grantee's that are individuals will be included in this report. Enhanced the 990 export to include the IRC Section Code and Grant Purpose. The IRC Section Code will be populated from the new Tax Class field that is user defined in Profile Types.

  14. I'd like the option to allow grants to post by payment like we can for scholarships. For example, the grant committee grants $15,000 paid out over 3 years ($5,000 installments). We'd like the option to have the $5,000 come out of the fund when it is approved for payment, versus immediately.

  15. It would be very helpful to have Foundant flag groups deemed as hate groups, and/or extremist groups by using some type of source to notify users that this organization has been flagged when trying to create a grantee profile with a particular EIN, or doing the charity check in GuideStar.

  16. We would really love to have a bulk edit option for the payment schedule date and bulk edit date. To offer some context from an accounting perspective, the concern is that the grant date and edit payment schedule dates are different especially when grants are entered or submitted on a certain date but are needing to be paid on a schedule, typically a Friday for us. The grant date is what drives the date the expense is posted to the GL. We have had to manually update the payment schedule date and the grant date for each grant since there…

  17. We have quarterly operating grant transfers we process. We have set these up as recurring.

    1. Hate that you have to wait until that exact date to post them if you are trying to work ahead. Someone has mentioned that and I have voted on.

    2. Most importantly- When these recurring grants are created... the voucher date should default to the next date on the recurring grant record- not the day you go in a create those grants. All of these grants that are recurring are electronic and we do in large batches. After I run the large batch.... I have to…

  19. On an organizational profile record, the static fields "Contact" and "Contact Title" allow you to type in a name and title, which then populate the address blocks on that record. Those fields appear on check letter and grant letter templates.
    There is also an option to select an individual which is linked to the organization as a "Primary Org Contact". That selection makes a dynamic link to the individual. However, "Primary Org Contact" is not an available merge field on any template.

    It would be ideal to have that dynamic, linked indication available as a merge field or (even better!)…

  20. When we "Make Inactive" a CSuite user when an employee leaves, it should automatically turn off any notifications to that user.

    Currently, we have to remember that a person is receiving "grant request notification" emails for example, and uncheck the box manually BEFORE deactivating the user, or else those emails will continue. Worse, when you go to see whether they are included in the list of people receiving this notification, their name won't even appear... which requires you to reactivate the user just to be able to turn the notifications off.
