  2. I would be great to have the option to email all contacts at an organization. As a grant-maker working with international orgs, we prefer to have open communication with multiple people (min 3) at each org.

  3. Recurring grants do not automatically get placed into the larger grant bucket. This needs to be fixed because it makes it very easy to miss a monthly or annually recurring grant if you don't have many of them.

  4. When running the report from the Grants tab I would love it if the contact name for the Vendor was one of the fields. It would make sending grant letters / mail merge so much easier. It gives the salutation, why not add the whole name?

  5. How pending Internal Transfer grants are displayed on the destination funds portal is misleading. They appear to be complete but are not included in the balance above. Please add “pending” label to future grants under “recent contributions” on the grantees’ fund holder portal so that it is clear on both the destination and source fund portals.

  6. The system allows for conditional grants to be recorded, but often times pledges are associated to the conditional grants making the pledge also conditional. The system does not currently have functionality to record a pledge as conditional and then have it reversed through a system fund in the same way that a conditional grant does.

  8. When paying an internal grant, CSuite defaults to the asset account with the highest balance. We need to be able to have the default account be an asset cash account instead of an asset investment account for the amount of the internal grant.

  9. The receipting system is rife with problems. For one, donor acknowledgments or thank you are called tax receipts. The yearly contribution statement outlining all of the donors giving activity is also called a tax receipt. This naming convention was a challenge in a recent support request when I wanted to generate envelopes for the yearly tax receipt. The customer support individual was entirely unaware of the two entirely separate processes. I would encourage you to change the naming convention of these two workflows. I suggest changing tax receipts to "Gift Acknowledgements" and the yearly tax receipt to "Contribution Statement." This…

  10. Having the ability to Filter out, or at least see which grants are marked "OnHold" in the "send to GLM" page would be very helpful. Mainly with heavy batch containing multiple grants on hold.

  11. We have two grant cycles, one in the spring and one in the fall. All of our funds go out in 1 of the 2 cycles. We would like to make a 'tag' or something so we can pull a custom report stating which cycle the grant comes out of. We are hoping for is a 'tag' like on the profiles that give 'spring' or 'fall'. That would make life easy. Is that possible?

  12. It's great to see the donation history pie chart and grant history charts on the Fund History page, but it would be nice to be able to choose if you want to see the donor OR donation advisor. We often care less about Vanguard making a donation to a given fund and more interested in the Donation Advisor and it would be nice to toggle between, or choose, which we want to view.

We can obviously make our own custom reports, but these quick pie charts and graphs are so attractive and easy to pull up!

  13. It would be awesome to have a time frame for a Promoted Funds. We often send media releases regarding a grant from a specific fund. Our goal is promote the fund on the Donation Portal for two weeks following the press release. This would allow less actions to occur from the database stand point. You could offer an expiration date like 00/00/0000 that lasts forever, and a real date of when this would drop back into it's previous Promoted number. You would need to enter the start date, expiration date, new Promotion # and once expired the Return Promotion #.

  14. We have multiple people entering grants, and in FIMS, we would batch them by the staff person who was responsible for processing them because the staff name was populated, where in CSuite, it is not.

Almost everything in CSuite shows a log, surprised that this isn't already available. We are trying to figure out a new workflow without having the staff names available.

  15. Our donors like seeing their donations and grants detail on their statement which currently shows only the grants/donation detail for the period the statement is for. We would love to be able to show YTD contributions and grants they've made on their quarterly statements. Q2 statement should show grants for Jan-Jun, not just Apr-June.
This can be used for our endowments as well. If they had distributions, they can see when they took distributions if we show YTD data.

Thank you so much for voting and considering this idea!

  16. Hello!

I know that you can create a recurring grant in CSuite and be able to add specific dollar amounts to the beneficiary. However, we process our grants through the GLM and then sync to CSuite. We want to be able to use the beneficiary field to indicate what static disbursements occur. Sometimes this is a blend of percentage and fixed amounts. Being able to have a blend of percentages and fixed amounts would be ideal.

  17. We'd like the fund advisors to be able to input the FedID (SSN/EIN) # when they're inputting grant requests on their end. It takes more time and energy for our people to track down this information, and having it provided from the get go would be ideal!

  18. It would be nice in grant letters to have an option to use the Household mailing label name. In our grant letters we like to include "if you would like to say thank you" section so the grantee can directly thank the fundholders. However, I have two individuals in a household that both want their own access to the fund advisor portal, when they individually submit a grant request it appears the only field available for the grant template will be that individual advisor name. However, it should be the entire household that is thanked, not just the one individual…

  19. When you pull up a grantee's profile, you can see the total $ amount of grants awarded. This would be very helpful if we could have this on Student profiles as well. Currently the student profile shows the $ amount of each grant/scholarship payment, but does not have a running total.

  20. The ability to void a grant should not just apply at the grant request stage. If a grant is created from a grant request and then deleted without being posted or having the charity status checked, there is no log of the grant ever existing in CSuite - no log of who created the grant or when they created it. Not until the charity status is checked or the grant is posted does a log exist for the grant. After this, you can’t even look up the grant request if you’ve taken note of the grant request number since it’s…
