  1. I like the idea that we can mark grants complete. It would be great if that screen was more user friendly and let you mark in bulk instead of one a time.

  2. We have a donor advised fund with 7 advisors This is a fund set up by a family with young adult children to teach them about philanthropy.

    The format of this fund is that each adult child can request up to three grants per year with a granting limit of $2,500 per calendar year. Is this something that can be tracked on the advisor level? Is there some reporting that can be set up?

  3. One of the functions of Community Foundations is to do the back office work for some of the not-for-profits in our area – as is the case for most of our agency funds. The balance sheet is used as an assets under management tool which is why we include our agency funds in our asset total BUT they are not our true assets which is the need for the liability number to show on the balance sheet.   5. We have quite a few funds at our Community Foundation that have two components - An institutional liability fund and a designated asset to the not-for-profit that started the fund. Our short name (fund id) distinguishes between the two with the agency fund being a 1 (Example CLUB1) and the designated fund being a 2 (Example CLUB2) In our previous software we were able to roll both funds up into a master fund so the not-for-profit could see all of the support being received together.   6. Add a County field under profiles. Also allow County to be entered with a grant. In the case of scholarships, we want to flag the student's county, not the county the college is in. We are a 5 county Community Foundation and our board likes to know where we are serving.

It would be great if C Suite could provide totals for grants distributed during a date range other than the provided options (year, quarter, etc.) Right now, I have to pull a total for grants distributed since our Foundation's inception, which means I have to export almost 2500 grants to Excel and then total them. I'd definitely appreciate a less cumbersome way to get the total!

  8. For the 990 Report for Grantees, it would be very helpful to be able to select multiple divisions. For example, we have several trusts and a corporation included in our 990 and each one is a separate division. The Checkboxes option that is offered on the regular Grants report would be a wonderful way to filter the 990 Grantees report.

Our spending policy allows us to grant out of funds that are invested for at least 4 quarters, but we base this calculation off of an 8 quarter rolling average to include zero balances on the quarters in which the fund was not invested. This allows the donor to grant out of the fund, but at a lower amount due to the zero balances. In CSuite the calculation is only based off of the amount of quarters the fund is established. We really need the ability to tell the system to include the zero balances in the calculations. Is there…

  11. We many times have grants that are funded by one or more funds. It would be great to have the functionality where each fund source shows up as a grant instead of an an interfund grant.

  12. Currently, once a fund has scholarships visible on the portal, it is visible for all fund advisors. That tab should be able to be toggled on and off for individual advisors the way the grants tab can be.
