  1. It would be awesome to have a time frame for a Promoted Funds. We often send media releases regarding a grant from a specific fund. Our goal is promote the fund on the Donation Portal for two weeks following the press release. This would allow less actions to occur from the database stand point. You could offer an expiration date like 00/00/0000 that lasts forever, and a real date of when this would drop back into it's previous Promoted number. You would need to enter the start date, expiration date, new Promotion # and once expired the Return Promotion #.

  2. We have multiple people entering grants, and in FIMS, we would batch them by the staff person who was responsible for processing them because the staff name was populated, where in CSuite, it is not.

Almost everything in CSuite shows a log, surprised that this isn't already available. We are trying to figure out a new workflow without having the staff names available.

  3. Our donors like seeing their donations and grants detail on their statement which currently shows only the grants/donation detail for the period the statement is for. We would love to be able to show YTD contributions and grants they've made on their quarterly statements. Q2 statement should show grants for Jan-Jun, not just Apr-June.
This can be used for our endowments as well. If they had distributions, they can see when they took distributions if we show YTD data.

Thank you so much for voting and considering this idea!

  4. Hello!

I know that you can create a recurring grant in CSuite and be able to add specific dollar amounts to the beneficiary. However, we process our grants through the GLM and then sync to CSuite. We want to be able to use the beneficiary field to indicate what static disbursements occur. Sometimes this is a blend of percentage and fixed amounts. Being able to have a blend of percentages and fixed amounts would be ideal.

  5. We'd like the fund advisors to be able to input the FedID (SSN/EIN) # when they're inputting grant requests on their end. It takes more time and energy for our people to track down this information, and having it provided from the get go would be ideal!

  6. It would be nice in grant letters to have an option to use the Household mailing label name. In our grant letters we like to include "if you would like to say thank you" section so the grantee can directly thank the fundholders. However, I have two individuals in a household that both want their own access to the fund advisor portal, when they individually submit a grant request it appears the only field available for the grant template will be that individual advisor name. However, it should be the entire household that is thanked, not just the one individual…

  7. When you pull up a grantee's profile, you can see the total $ amount of grants awarded. This would be very helpful if we could have this on Student profiles as well. Currently the student profile shows the $ amount of each grant/scholarship payment, but does not have a running total.

  8. The ability to void a grant should not just apply at the grant request stage. If a grant is created from a grant request and then deleted without being posted or having the charity status checked, there is no log of the grant ever existing in CSuite - no log of who created the grant or when they created it. Not until the charity status is checked or the grant is posted does a log exist for the grant. After this, you can’t even look up the grant request if you’ve taken note of the grant request number since it’s…

  9. We have a few corporate DAFs where the fundholder recommending grants is an organization profile. Currently on the template, we are able to include the name of the organization and their contact information through the fund advisor fields. We would like to also have the ability to include the main contact person's name and title at the organization. I see where org. contact label is in grant templates, but this is the contact person at the grantee organization and not the fund advisor recommending the grant. Could a field be added that would populate the org. contact name and title…

  10. Several donors would like to receive our annual report by email to save the cost of mailing, others only want info about grant specific events, etc.
To be able to flag outliers would be most helpful.

  12. Within a Fund have a box list (similar to Fund Profiles) in the white space on the right to house the past 6 grants, include the GranteeID, Grantee and Amount. Making the GranteeID a clickable link to expand on the grant for more information. Instead of having to run a grant report according to years or quarters.
A Quick Glance of Recent Grants!

  13. It would be swell if we could run a report that summarizes the detail in the amount of a calculated balance swap. Swaps that occur to or from our Operating fund are always a funky amount, and I understand that it's a mix of payables, grants, fees, etc. but it would be great if we could get a report (or see a screen) that summarizes all the transactions that constitute that swap amount.

  14. After you create a grant, it would be awesome if you could see the fund balance right there. it seems like you could through loading a custom report, but ultimately it doesn't show correctly (maybe because it needs to be approved first?) in any case, this would be super helpful!

  15. Please make a system toggle to turn off the reo-ccuring grant option for the fund holder portal - the tracking for this is super cumbersome and its awkward when we have to tell a donor that we don't have the capacity to track this. Much appreciated.

  16. When you run a grant history report the default setting is that the report is oldest to newest. It would be nice if either you could change the default or choose the sort order. Typically the oldest grants are closed, and I'm working on the newest grants. It's very rarely that I want grants sorted from oldest to newest.

  17. It would be great if you could change the fund on a grant after an installment has been paid or be able to change the fund on an installment basis. Once an installment has been paid there is no ability to do this. The system does allow a fund change if there is only one installment.

  18. After voiding a grant request in CSuite, if you don't take note of the grant request number (which we don’t do), there is no way to go back and find that voided grant request. It seems like it should be much more easily found - like on the fund, grantee, and/or fund advisor profile. You should also be able to run a report on voided grant requests.

Similarly, when a fund advisor cancels a grant request on their side of things, this comes across in CSuite as a voided grant request - it looks the same as when one of…

  19. The Fund Summary Report would be more useful if filtering of "Donation Types" was allowed. We use "Donation Types" for more than just true contributions (because we do not wish to use "payments" for recording non-gifts due to control concerns), so it would be nice to be able to select (using checkboxes) which Donation Types to include. Also, it would be nice to be able to filter out internal grants altogether, rather than showing as a separate item in the charts but including in the summary report.

  20. It would be very helpful if you could add a way to pull in refunds of scholarships or grants that were entered into Fims as non-gifts. Or even generate fund statements as Word documents that can be edited to add a row in grant details for a refund, so the total of the grant details tie to the grants summary line item above. Otherwise it does not match.
