it makes absolutely no sense that we have to relog in and enter our emails and passwords a second time to reach idea lab.
If you are already logged into CS you should not have to log into Idea Lab...it should be accessible through CS

Review all letters in CSuite similar to the Fund Statement review function
Implement the same viewing and reviewing capabilities that exist for fund statements for all letters including tax receipts, grant letters, and award letters—possibly adding the send option after it is reviewed.

chat box
Can you please have the chat box stay up on the screen instead of disappearing each time you have to move to a different tab, it's very annoying to have to restart the chat each time.

Increased Ability to Make Bulk Changes
Many issues we face could easily be resolved if we had more ability to apply bulk changes. This includes updates and deletions to records in most areas of the system, but particularly grants, donations, profiles, and funds. We realize that Foundant may be reluctant to do this, since bulk changes can be dangerous. However, at some point, we have to be accountable for our own actions. As long as these areas have permission levels, we could selectively assign them to our best people, taking responsibility for whatever changes are made.

Manual entries - Admin Fees, Distributions, Journal Entries
I'd like to see a link to "create" another entry immediately after posting a manual admin fee, distribution, or journal entry. It's cumbersome to have to back up multiple screens to get back to the "create" link.

Multi-platform integrations via Zapier, Make, MuleSoft, or similar middleware
One of the most limiting things about using Foundant is the lack of connectivity to other platforms that we all use. Even in cases where there is some integration (like with MailChimp) that integration is extremely limited.
I found those ideas all via one quick search in the Idea Lab for the word "integrate." I bet there are many other requests that could also be solved this way.

Auto logout after period of inactivity
For security purposes, we think it would be a good idea to have C-Suite automatically log-out after a certain time (e.g. 30 minutes, 1 hour). Currently, it only seems to log-out overnight

New hire training videos that I could assign upon hire
I have them do the walk me trainings but I would love deeper dive new hire training videos that I could assign (beyond the walk me trainings) upon starting work? I have all our initial trainings saved but so much has changed in CSuite since we initially became a client in 2021.
I am aware of YouTube but that is by date order and mostly updates. Looking for a subset of area specific trainings, grants vs development vs finance vs marketing.

Name file downloads for what they are
It would be great if the default file name when downloading reports or fund statements included better identifying information. For instance, a fund statement could include the name of the fund and the date of the statement; and a custom report export file name could include the name of the report. It's not a terrible inconvenience when running one or two reports at a time, but when running many reports over a short period of time, it's easy to lose track of which report is which.

"Profile Type" Has Two Meanings in Foundant-Language Update?
I recently discovered that "Profile Type" is used twice in Foundant to describe two different meanings. Profile Type is first affiliated with labels such as 'individual', 'household' and 'organization.' It's second association is when you click into a profile, select the Relationships tab, on the right-side menu, "Edit Profile Type" is an option. This selection though takes you to a menu of other types of profile designations or "tags", not 'profile types'. Could this language be changed or updated somehow to reflect that when you click "edit profile type" you are adding a different tag or association with the profile,…

Search: "AND" "OR" logic / combination of values in multiple fields
It would be nice to allow combination of searches in different fields / "AND" "OR" logic for searching.
Example: when we receive a name with typos (and we don't know what the correct name is), if we put in the first few characters/letters in the search, it can generate a gigantic dropdown, but it will much easier if we can search one of the below:
(1) Last name AND company
(2) First name version 1 OR First name version 2 AND Last name7 votes -
Completed tasks should have a notification ot historical log for the person who assigned the taks
The person who assigns a task does not receive notification, nor can they view completed tasks that they have assigned to others. Even the "shared with others" does not include completed tasks. It would be wonderful to have the option to email the person who assigned the task when the task is completed, especially since there is a Note that can be attached to the task. It would be a great way to leave a note and notification for the task assigner.

Add more identifies in Sandbox to remind users they are working in Sandbox
Additional identifiers would be useful in Sandbox to remind users they are working in Sandbox. Maybe font color of all fields can be different from production or red boxes around all fields? One banner isn't enough.

Minimize left menu
it would be great if we could minimize the left menu. Sometimes I'm working on a smaller screen and it takes up so much space. Having a little carrot to minimize and maximize as needed would be great!

The Public Fund name should be used across the board on anything that is not completely internal.
The Public Fund name should be used across the board on anything and everything that is not completely internal. Currently, the INTERNAL fund name shows on the checks that go out to the DAF grantees and the confirmation emails that go out to the DAF Advisors when grants go out, which makes no sense at all. These show the donors and the recipients of their grants the wrong name for the fund.

Search Database
I would like to be able to search the entire database for a word and have it return all results from all fields. For example, we have a donor with multiple profiles. Somewhere, the last name is misspelled. It is not in the profile names. It must be in a salutation, address, or some other field. I would like to be able to search on the misspelling so that we can locate the problem. I chatted with support today and they said this is not possible. 2FA using cell phone text rather than authenticator
Most of our users do not have an authenticator app installed, but are familiar with text-based 2FA. Can you please add that option? We would like to upgrade our cybersecurity policies, but it's not practical otherwise. Thanks.

tax receipts
It would be nice to auto attach a copy of the tax receipt to the donation once it has been printed. Right now, I print the letter, save it to a folder and then go back to attach the document. All of this could be avoided if there was a way to have it auto attach.
3 votesThere is currently an option to turn on serial numbers (which is required for Canadian charities). When enabled (in settings), the tax receipt that is generated will auto attach to the donation record.
