Agree, as this is one of the most common areas of frustration when working in multiple tabs and also providing support to the business or end users. If not in a separate tab or window, at the very least it should remember the tabs that were open and reload them as they were left. Granted, unsaved data would be lost, but that can simply be something that people are aware of, and act accordingly (a window reminding that emulation results in other tabs losing unsaved data, or people simply learning that it's a requirement quite quickly through use...).

When you emulate a user, you lose all the tabs you had open on return. Please can user emulation be on a new browser tab or in a new window so when you end user emulation, you return to where you were e.g Support Manager. This would be very helpful when investigating an issue in the Support Manager but you want to test what the users sees before replying.

This would be an enormous usability improvement.

I find myself constantly needing to toss-up between emulating and losing all of my tabs or waiting.

Thank you for submitting this suggestion, Joseph! I cannot tell you how many times this has crossed my mind since we started using SmartSimple. It "remembers" where you were the last time you were logged in on a particular page or tab, but what a game change it would be to not lose all the already open tabs you may have been working on at the time you realized you needed to emulate another user.

Making this change would save agents a lot of time and allow them to resolve issues without needing to start over after emulation.
