  1. We have quarterly operating grant transfers we process. We have set these up as recurring.

    1. Hate that you have to wait until that exact date to post them if you are trying to work ahead. Someone has mentioned that and I have voted on.

    2. Most importantly- When these recurring grants are created... the voucher date should default to the next date on the recurring grant record- not the day you go in a create those grants. All of these grants that are recurring are electronic and we do in large batches. After I run the large batch.... I have to…

  2. I'd like the option to allow grants to post by payment like we can for scholarships. For example, the grant committee grants $15,000 paid out over 3 years ($5,000 installments). We'd like the option to have the $5,000 come out of the fund when it is approved for payment, versus immediately.

  3. We would really love to have a bulk edit option for the payment schedule date and bulk edit date. To offer some context from an accounting perspective, the concern is that the grant date and edit payment schedule dates are different especially when grants are entered or submitted on a certain date but are needing to be paid on a schedule, typically a Friday for us. The grant date is what drives the date the expense is posted to the GL. We have had to manually update the payment schedule date and the grant date for each grant since there…

  4. There should be a way to know that a grantee is set up to receive ACH payments while you are entering the grant. Right now I have to go all the way back to the profile to see if they are ACH. This would help when choosing what letter template to use.

  5. It would be nice to have the availability to bulk update/import/delete all fields on a record (profile, gift, grant, fund, etc)

Because of the volume of each of those items in a database it become tedious and tiresome to do some of the most simple and routine task.

  6. Allow for making a distribution to a Beneficiary on a fund "on hold" so that it will not be created when spendable grants are done. we have many funds that have beneficiaries as part of their fund agreement but the distribution is on hold for various reasons (the fundholders desire the fund to get to a certain level before making distributions, the fund is waiting for proceeds from life insurance, etc.). But we would like to have the beneficiary information created on the fund so it can easily be "activated" when the hold is removed.

  7. Please include template fields for recurring grants: start date, interval, number of occurrences, next occurrence date so that we can send accurate grant letters with the checks. Currently we have to manually edit each grant letter for a recurring grant to add language that tells the recipient about the recurring details.

  8. When we "Make Inactive" a CSuite user when an employee leaves, it should automatically turn off any notifications to that user.

Currently, we have to remember that a person is receiving "grant request notification" emails for example, and uncheck the box manually BEFORE deactivating the user, or else those emails will continue. Worse, when you go to see whether they are included in the list of people receiving this notification, their name won't even appear... which requires you to reactivate the user just to be able to turn the notifications off.

It's nice when you don't have to do these…

  9. Please make the grant_ letter_ email_ body template in site custom content HTML compatible! It appears every template is html compatible except this one.

Without the compatibility, you are unable to create line breaks or format any text which is very frustrating.

    Thank you!

  10. Just tried copying a grant in CSuite - sweet! However, once you copy it comes up with the old grant date and the old pay schedule date. It should copy to current dates. Also, the expense account does not transfer over. And, as we now have custom fields, any custom fields too - thanks!

  11. For staff answering questions from nonprofits about grants they received, it would really help to have the Anonymous flag in the grid so it's easy to see and make sure they don't divulge donor names if they are not supposed to.

  13. We have donors who have designated multiple fund beneficiaries and request that one beneficiary receive a dollar amount, and then the others receive percentages of what is then available each year. Or several beneficiaries are to receive specific amounts and a final one to receive 100% of the residual. The work-around to set up recurring grants and process them before the percentages kick in is an opportunity for mistakes and is not sustainable for these perpetual grants. Please create the option of having a blend of percentages and fixed amounts so that we can fulfill donor intent efficiently. THANKS.

  14. We have multi payment and multi year interfund grants/donations that sometimes need to be canceled or reversed. Right now they cannot be canceled unless you pretend to pay it and the pretend to pay it back by the receiving fund. There should be the ability to reverse the unpaid Receivable/Payable without pretending to pay it.

  15. Currently the first log item for an Online Grant Request is once the grant is created. However, the grantee can be changed before the grant is created. If an incorrect change was made to the grantee field, there's no backup of the original Fund Advisor's request. Please have the log show when changes are made to the grantee before the online grant request is created.

  16. We so appreciate the ability to email our grant letters, thank you for bringing that improvement! I imagine this will be more difficult to pull off on a technical level than some other suggestions being made for improvement, so this falls into the category of "shoot for the stars!"

Would it be possible for you to enable the ability to EDIT the grant letters before emailing them? Despite our having many templates in place, to try and cover all of our various scenarios, we find ourselves often having to make edits to the grant letters we generate for printing.

    As…

  17. The payment date for grants should automatically become the check date. It doesn't make sense for the payment date to be the date it was entered and causes confusion with donors wondering why organizations haven't received checks when the payment date is before the grant date and/or before the date checks are run.

  19. Currently, the ? icon for the "sponsored org" field indicates this is the vendor the check will be made out to. We're having trouble making that work when giving to a group with a fiscal sponsor, though this is the field we've been directed to use for those situations. The check needs to be made out to the fiscal sponsor, since that's the legal entity, but it makes no sense to put the sponsor in the "Sponsored Org" field, since it's the opposite of that. We're worried staff will never understand what the information in that field means, since it's…
