Grant Notifications for Internal Grants
Notifications to alert Fund Advisors that their internal grant/donation has been sent within the Foundation.

3/31/2025:Idea Lab Live:
Funds: Added the Grant Advisor field to Grant Beneficiary table on fund. This will allow users to select from a list of fund advisors for the fund to complete the grant advisor field on spendable grants upon creation. This field will be a limited list of fund advisors on the fund.
Grants: Updated spendable grants to allow for the grant advisors to be populated from the fund record in the Fund Beneficiary table. When creating spendable grants, the field will populate on the table for users to review before processing the grants. Users will be able to remove and then edit the grant advisor from the grant new bucket.
Fund Advisors: Updated internal grants to send donation notifications to the fund advisor, if the Donation Notify checkbox is enabled for the fund advisor. Prior to this release internal donation did not send notifications to the fund advisors. This notification will populate from Donation Content donation_notify_email_body.

We would like both the granting fund advisors & grantee fund advisors to receive internal grant email notifications. We are emailing these notifications outside of CSuite & it would be very helpful if they were done automatically from the system, like regular grants.

We are notifying fund advisors when grants are posted, and they are very appreciative. However, we just received a call from one such fund advisor who assumed that an internal grant he had requested had not been made because he did not receive a notification. Fund advisors don't differentiate between internal and external grants; they are all just grants. Making a notification available for one and not the other has been problematic for us.

We were surprised to recently learn that fund advisors are getting notified of grant payments when a check is processed, NOT when the grant is completed. We have ongoing checks and balances throughout the check printing process, so a fund advisor shouldn't be notified until a grant is marked complete. Some advisors are getting upset with us because they thought a grant payment was made while it may still be completing our process and not yet ready to be fully issued. Can this be changed or have each foundation choose when certain notifications are issued?

This would be very helpful. Many fund advisors are transferring from their DAF's to a giving campaign and not receiving notification that the internal transfer request is completed.

We are running into issues where DAF holders are giving to Field of Interest funds and those fund advisors are not being notified. Often these are rather large grants too.

This would be very important to us. We have some fund advisors that get upset that they do not receive an email notification that a donation was made into their fund because it was an internal grant. We have to either manually email or write up a letter to the advisor.

This is something that a couple of our fund representatives have brought to our attention. We can create some sort of alert to notify us when an internal transfer is made into an account to notify the reps from each of the funds of the transfer. However, it would be so much easier if they received a notification from the system.

We have had multiple Agency Endowments as for this so they can steward those donors who are giving to them through their DAF's.

This would be great for DAFs who give to internal funds like COVID Relief and Recovery or our Management Endowment!
