  1. When a grant is cancelled it would be nice if the spendable amount was adjusted along with the grant cancellation.

  2. It would be so nice to have a search bar at the top of the Grant Catalog so donors looking for a specific charity instead of scrolling thru dozens they can type in and the one they are looking for will pop up???!! PLEASE!!!! Thanks!

  3. In the donor portal, the grants fund advisors are making should be tallied and compared to their spendable/available balance. Once they've reached their spendable/available balance they should not be able to grant anymore. This will reduce back-end work in Csuite and will eliminate the need to contact the fund advisor to let them know they've overspent and to determine which grant(s) should be adjusted.

  4. It would be helpful that when choosing a grant advisor when creating a grant, that you can only select the profiles of fund advisors that it is applicable to, instead of the entire database coming up to choose.

  5. Many of our funds process reimbursements for charitable work that are not grants. They need to be able to see all transactions that affect their balance, not just gifts and grants.

  7. We are implementing the National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities (NTEE) coding system for our grants. As such there is a custom field in our GLM application form for the "Project Taxonomy Code", but this field does not carry over when GLM grants are synced to CS and we consequently have to re-choose the taxonomy code in the "Grant Type" box in CS. Can you please add the functionality to somehow sync custom fields between CS and GLM?

    10/4/2023:Grants: Enhanced the look of the Grant Catalog by adding tabs: Details, Grantees, Content.  This will allow for better organization of the fields within a grant Catalog.  The header box will be a quick reference point for the Catalog ID, Request Dates, Catalog Dates, and the Funding Goal.

    From the Details tab, users will find the detail options and settings, grant categories, and the reporting for the Grant Catalog.  Added the functionality for Grant Catalogs to allow for a Nonprofit to receive a donation amount over the Requested amount. This new option is a checkbox on the Grant Catalog Details tab, Allow Overfund Grants.    Once the grant has been fully funded, it will move from the Unfunded Bucket to the New Bucket.

    Grantees Tab will be house all of the Grantees information.  On the left hand menu, users will find a new options to Invite Grantees to the Grant Catalog.…

  9. When a transaction gift, grant or any other transaction is deleted the trail should be shown. Should be able to see the original transaction and then the deletion or change. This is very important for the audit trail!!! And For reconcilliations.

  10. It would be helpful if we had more robust options for the aging report in AP. When you do the historical AP, you lose the dates (although they're listed for the grants payable). I'd love to see those dates.

    Enhancements to Payables were released on 11/2.  Here is the release note:


    Accounts Payable: Updated the Accounts Payable list to include an aging schedule for Accounts, Grants and Scholarships Payable based on the date of the Voucher, Grant or Scholarship. Enhanced the Historical AP left menu option which populates a report that will “age” the payable by year based on the payment line detail for the grant or scholarship record. This report is commonly requested at year end as audit prep begins. The Grant or Scholarship ID has been added along with the award date. Columns have been added that reflect the payment line detail by year.

  11. It would be really nice if tasks could be tied to profiles, funds, grants, etc. and if they could show up like notes do (or at least having that option for them to show up). We are used to the "contacts" tab in FIMS which both informed the team of communications between donors and staff as well as provided an option to follow up if necessary. Thanks

  12. I just had to pull a report for some fund holders who wanted only their grantee organizations, grant dates, and grant amounts. I was able to easily pull the report using filters, but I had to delete a LOT of columns to winnow the spreadsheet down to what they wanted. It would be great if there were an option to create an export template that would include only the required information rather than ALL the columns.

  13. It would be really great if fund history grant pages generated in order of newest to oldest instead of oldest to newest-OR- if there was a box on the fund page that showed the most recent grants. I often want to see the most recent 5-10 grants but a date range is not always appropriate.

  14. Most records in Csuite have a log which is awesome, however recurring grants do not (yet). Please add a log to recurring grants so we can see internally who created or updated those records. Thanks!

  15. Spendable amount should reflect the pending grant subtracted out. If the grant is pending it is committed. Right now you have to manually do the math from Pending grants and Spendable amount.

  16. Love the ease of pulling grant/gift reports from the fund's main profile, but really wish there were either an "all" or "since inception" field. We often run these quick reports while on the phone with someone, and it never fails that I have to stop, go back, look at the fund's start date, hit grant report again so that I can add an inclusive date range. Silly, but slightly aggravating!

    As it is, we need to do a journal entry to transfer from historic balance to the spendable balance

  19. When staff members make changes to gifts or grants that have already been posted. I.e. date changes, then the system re-sends the email to the fund advisor. This is confusing to the fund advisors. It would be nice if CSuite recognized that an email had already been sent and will not send another one.

  20. One of the functions of Community Foundations is to do the back office work for some of the not-for-profits in our area – as is the case for most of our agency funds. The balance sheet is used as an assets under management tool which is why we include our agency funds in our asset total BUT they are not our true assets which is the need for the liability number to show on the balance sheet.
