  1. Would love to have email types (like address types, where we can add our own). We have many different emails for different organizations, many of which are specific to a single thing. With email being our most frequent form of communication, it would be great to run a report on email address type when necessary to get specifically the contacts we need at each organization (like CEO or grant manager or admin....etc)

  2. When processing grants in the New Bucket, I need to run Charity Check, set the grant type, set the letter template, and post & get approval. It appears that I can run Charity Check and Post in batch, but I still have to open each grant to set the grant type and grant letter. If these could be done in batch or even default based on the fund, the process would be much more efficient.

  3. It would be nice if there was a reporting option to track returned grants. As of right now you have to run a general ledger detail and then sort all of the data to find credits in the expense accounts.

  4. Give us the ability/option to choose when we want to send out distributions for beneficiaries. It would save a lot of staff time if we could program the date to release the distribution when we first set up the beneficiary. Currently we have to go to each fund and click on 'grant spendable' since we have so many beneficiary distributions.

  6. We many times have grants that are funded by one or more funds. It would be great to have the functionality where each fund source shows up as a grant instead of an an interfund grant.

  7. It would be nice to have the option to correct grant letters in a Word doc batch like we used to have. The pdf option is nice, but it requires having perfect fields and templates. Our small foundation could benefit from the option to spot correct.

  8. I have been paste and copying the Check Id detail attachment content and emailing vendors from CSuite. I though they woul want to be alerted about the ACH payments they can expect . It would be nice to be able to do that from the check batch . A similar process to how we can email grant and scholarship recipents letters .

  9. Fund Advisor Portal: Change Title on "Available Cash"
    We'd like for our advisors to be able see the amount available for granting in their funds but calling it "Available Cash" isn't technically correct and sounds crass. Can the name of this field be changed to "Available Amount" or "Amount Available for Granting"?

  11. We have quite a few funds at our Community Foundation that have two components - An institutional liability fund and a designated asset to the not-for-profit that started the fund. Our short name (fund id) distinguishes between the two with the agency fund being a 1 (Example CLUB1) and the designated fund being a 2 (Example CLUB2) In our previous software we were able to roll both funds up into a master fund so the not-for-profit could see all of the support being received together. We have a school system that has 26 scholarship funds and 1 general fund that…

  12. Our foundation recently started using the grant catalogue publicly, meaning that it is going to have many projects added to it that public donors will be searching to fund. Currently, the view is not very user friendly and write ups appear in a very small column that is difficult to sort through for a user.

    I'm proposing introducing a "Card View" where you can show 2 or 3 cards per column, and each card has information like:
    - Image
    - Organization Name
    - Project Title
    - Short Description (short excerpt from the full description)
    - Request Amount
    - Amount Funded

  13. There should be a way to include all funds a grant came from (multiple funds). We can set the total grant amount; but if it's coming from multiple funds, it will only pull one fund name. Currently, we have to edit it in Word. We have many grants that come from multiple funds, so this is very time consuming. If we can do this on a check voucher, it should be able to be done in the letter.

  14. We now use NTEE coding for our grants. We would like to go back and bulk update historical grants with the same coding. We know the NTEE code of particular grantee organizations, so it would be efficient to be able to bring Grant ID and Org ID into the table for more efficient bulk updates.

    Example: YMCA always has the same NTEE coding for their grants. I would like to update all of the YMCA grants with the NTEE code in bulk.

  15. Currently having to enter the same information individually for each grant is very tedious. Please make it possible to select a group of grants in a bucket, like 'request' or 'new' and allow certain bulk actions, such as changing the grant date and payment date and service area (until you associate service area with a profile).

  16. I would like to be able to pull an accounts payable report that would give me the options to include either or both accounts payable checks and grant checks. We need to pull these reports for the auditors. (I.E. Accounts payable checks > $50,000).

    Enhancements to Accounts Payable was released on 11/2.  Here is the release note:  


    Accounts Payable: Updated the Accounts Payable list to include an aging schedule for Accounts, Grants and Scholarships Payable based on the date of the Voucher, Grant or Scholarship. Enhanced the Historical AP left menu option which populates a report that will “age” the payable by year based on the payment line detail for the grant or scholarship record. This report is commonly requested at year end as audit prep begins. The Grant or Scholarship ID has been added along with the award date. Columns have been added that reflect the payment line detail by year.

  17. Allow the creation of spendable grants by fund, without having to do an entire group or subgroup at a time. We have nearly 200 designated & agency funds, and some require steps with the beneficiary before the funds can be released, per their original fund agreements. It would not be possible to process them all in one run. Or, after selecting a group/subgroup, allow us to select which ones we'd like to process at this time.

  18. Please make Google translate available on the Donor Portal pages. This is a barrier to access for our Fund holders that do not default to English as their primary language and limits our offerings to them like grant catalog and grant recommendation requests.

  20. Could you please design a report that allows us to pull the Benificiaries. For our org we need the Fund, Beneficiary Org, Amount/Percent allocated, and if possible the yearly/quarterly amount to be distributed.

    As far as I can tell, I only have the option to show the Beneficiary org in a Grants Report export, or search for individual beneficiaries which is very cumbersome and leaves a lot of room for errors as I may not remember who all of the beneficiary orgs are.
