Stripe duplicates
Currently, online donations via Stripe create a New Profile if the donor enters different data in any of these four fields: First Name, Last Name, Phone, Email. For orgs that receive numerous online gifts, the duplicates can quickly become a nightmare. We suggest the Stripe-CSuite data matching be modified to look for a match on 2 of 3 fields - say, last name, street address or email address, to reduce the number of duplicate profiles.
Please also:
- add 'date created', and the ability to sort by date created in the duplicates form

Split donation
A split donation with more than one donation destination is not the same thing as using a profile payment. Donors make gifts, not payments; that's a different process, which requires an invoice, and multiple transactions. We should be able to honor a donor's request to split their gift however they need and keep the records clean.
This idea is not "implemented."

142 votesDonations: Added the ability to create a multifund donation when creating a donation from the donations menu. Clients can create a donation and select “make multifund” from the left hand menu. This will allow clients to enter more that one fund receiving a portion of this donation. Multifund donations can only be processed for checks, other payment, or stock payment types. Once the process button is selected, clients will see the profile payment had been created for them. They can then post the donation from payments or use the bulk posting process within donations. Also added a quick post option next to the individual donations within payments. With this enhancement, the fund has moved up in the donation creating screen just below amount.

Enhancement to templates
Desired change: Enhance how organization contact name / address is processed in templates
Currently: there is not a field that will pull the contact name AND the organization name for our donation letters. Any field I use to include organization name creates a blank space when the donor does not have an organization listed.
For donation letters I would like to include at the top of each letter:
Donors Name (Mr. and Mrs. John Smith)
Organization Name IF APPLICABLE (Food Pantry)
Street Address (123 Main Street)
City State Zip (Toledo, OH 43604)A person's title would also be ideal but…

Cover Stripe Fees on Recurring Donations
For recurring donations through the donor portal where the donor has selected to add the stripe fee, the add stripe fee selection would follow through to the subsequent recurring donations instead of stopping after the first donation.

Fund Image needs to be included on Donation Page
While the fund images are on the main giving/listing page, they disappear when you get to actual donation page for said fund. We really need that to be included there. As it stands the giving page is bland and unwelcoming, not modern and bright like many other giving platforms. Until you reach that stage of design, could you at least have the image (if there is one) on the donation page? How about bold and enlarge the Fund Name? Put it up with/match size of the "donation" line.

First-Time Donors
Add the "first date" field to the Donor Reports Filters.
I had to delete 35 years of first date donations to get the 2020 first-time donors. Not efficient!

Multiple Donation Entry
Would be FANTASTIC to be able to enter a batch of donations, review them on a report and post as a batch, rather than having to post after each donation ( to create a deposit in the till )

Unpost but don't delete a donation
When we unpost a donation, do not automatically delete it also (maybe have a flag that asks whether the user wishes to delete it or not). 99% of the time, when we unpost a donation, we simply need to fix something on it and re-post. This will significantly increase productivity, especially with Stripe payments that are now auto-posting the donation, much to our chagrin.

Option for Recurring Donations to Add an End Date
Some of our donors would like to stipulate an end period for their donation. This would be specifically helpful for us internally as we have a giving circle that allows for members to pay in installments for their membership (i.e., $125 / quarter for a annual membership of $500)

Inactivate Profiles
At this time you can only mark a profile as "deceased" if they are not active. This is not always the case in a living situation. Since donors may not have given donations in a while, you should be able to indicate their profile as "inactive."

copy gift
It would be very useful to have a COPY function when creating gifts. Many times a batch of gifts is received on the same date, going to the same fund, so we'd just have to update the donor name & amount. This was available in FIMS and saves alot of time.

All fields are copied except for payment method, check number and donation date, which will default to today as normal donation form functionality. Donation Advisor is not copied because advisor is not set on a donation during initial entry. If it is an internal donation, the internal donation status will not be copied, instead it will just be a normal donation. Historical is not copied, so historical donations will get copied in as real donations that impact the general ledger.

Add image to Fund
Add image to fund for viewing on fund donation page
So often, a photo tells the story. Most online giving sites have space for an image to accompany a story.
As a Community Foundation, we often receive gifts given to uphold the legacy of a loved one. We would like the ability to upload an image for each fund.

duplicate and recurring donations
Would be great if we could duplicate donations the way you can duplicate/copy vouchers.
We have some donors that give the same amount every time (but not recurring).
It would also be good to have the ability to choose the payment method for regular recurring donations that aren't paid by credit card (e.g. through direct deposit or Canada Helps, for instance). We have several monthly donors who don't pay by credit card and we currently have to enter the same information each month.

Email Notification to Fund Advisors
Currently, when a donation is entered and saved, an email is sent out to any Fund Advisor receiving donation notifications. I think it would be better if this notification was sent out when the donation was Posted. This way, someone has had a chance to look over the donation and verify everything before the Fund Advisor receives an email.

Option to Customize Donation Receipt Email Body
We should have the ability to edit the text of the email that is sent with an attached tax receipt for non-online donations just like we can for the automatic email for online donations. Currently it just says "Attached is the receipt for your donation on DATE". Please allow the ability to edit this content so that we can use this feature without recipients thinking it is spam.

Change the language of finalizing donation.
"cart" seems tacky, don't you think?? donors aren't buying anything!!
Make donation now, complete donation, anything would be better.

allowing donor option to pay credit card processing fee
We would like to to see an option for online donors to choose to pay the credit card processing fee with their donation. We have seen this on other online donation sites.

Household option for public donation page
It would be nice for folks to be able to select "Household" alongside "Individual" or "Organization" when donating on the public online donation page. We have had some people donate as an individual recently and add in spouses on the "Recognition Name." This makes the donation and acknowledgement show up under the individual when we really want to acknowledge the household.

donate to fund
on the Donate To A Fund page, the search/show all funds list option currently appears at the bottom of the page. We have a LOOOOONG list of funds so our donors end up scrolling a lot to reach the search box (or they use the keyboard shortcut of crtl+f to "find" on the active page). Is it possible to simply move the search/show all funds option to the top of this page?

Stripe is now able to accept ACH direct debit payments. It would be great if the online donation page would handle these now.
26 votesThe following was released on 12/7/22:
Donation Portal: Added an option in the donation portal to receive ACH payments from Stripe for donations and recurring donations. Stripe payments that come into CommunitySuite without a fee will not automatically be posted. Instead they will land in the till. This will allow clients to add the ACH fee once it has been processed within Stripe. Once they have added the fee, they can then deposit into their Stripe clearing account. A hyperlink has been added to the profile payment so that clients can easily review the transaction within Stripe. Clients will need to enable the ACH bank account payment method within their Stripe Account. Revised the language in an action button on the donation portal from "Pay with Credit/Debit Card" to "Continue".
